abbey621: 90% of those statements could be seen from a mile away, it does not take a prophet to know there will be strikes when workers are owed several month's salaries. It does not take a genius to know that the level of corruption under the last administration would lead to astronomical debt and consequences! You don't have to be Einstein to know that once you cut off the funds and the corruption within government and public sector that things would be difficult at inception due to cash shortage and strict policies. It's simple people, you can either suffer now and build a better Nigeria for years to come or continue with the way things were done before and mortgage your children's future!!!! Well said. But you are wasting you time though. Pointing fingers is the new game in Nigeria. Nigerians should stand in front of a mirror and point that finger and see who really it is to blame for their calamity. |

I don't know if anyone has told you this before but Nigeria has been in recession mode since independence. The only reason it was not obvious was because of oil. tomakint: He said it and it came to pass! I said it a long time ago. In fact since OBJ's time. If you need fayose to tell you then you have serious issues. How did i know? Because of it's people. Nigerians are their own problem. They don't learn from mistakes nor history. Also, they blame everyone, including God, for a situation they caused. Worse still, the mindset of the average Nigerian is phucked up to say the least. How in God's name can a nation be great with people with these attributes. Even a primary school student knows that bad citizens is equal to a bad country and good citizens will bring forth a good country. Stop blaming Buhari for something you all caused. Buhari and evey single leader in Nigeria did not come from the moon. They are citizens who grew up in the Nigerian society and if the society is phucked up, your leaders will be phucked up. |

Education › Re: Students Going Into Relationships On Campus, Do Or Don’t? by banmee(m): 9:34pm On May 22, 2016 |
EduRegard: Relationships have become something that people have misunderstood. Relationship is actually a divine orchestration which we cannot do without and I believe that with a proper understanding of it, people would grow to treasure relationships.
Relationship is an institution set up to create interaction between people so as to ensure continuity of life, balance of nature and inner satisfaction for everybody. Relationship brings men of like minds together to build a great thing, it inspires love in people for friendship. Relationship keeps the world moving and the earth spinning.
Even though there are different kinds of relationship, sexual relationship seems to be the most important for the continuity of life. The race of men will cease to exist if it vanishes, and the world will be a wasteland. Sexual relationship exist also to satisfy the urge and sexual desire of every man.
From a Nigeria-based statistics, it has been discovered that, the most enduring sexual relationships that exists are actually those that started while at school such as tertiary institutions, because at the time, folks are still young, tender and sincere, and these relationships make it through to marriage. The same cannot be spoken of for those who are already out of school and are looking for somebody they barely know to build a relationship with, most of the opportunities that surface usually end up as a “trial and error”. Therefore, I am opined that, apart from learning and skill development which is imparted at school, it is also an opportunity where good relationship structures can be built.
The only disadvantage I see in engaging in sexual relationship while at school is distraction from academics, but if folks can keep themselves in check and also desist from entering relationship in the early stages of their stay at school, it can work. Distractions are normal things for everyone to face, a universal examination that everyone go through and it should not be an excuse for not going into relationship.
However, I must highlight here that, by sexual relationships, I do not mean that the parties involved can perform illicit acts while at school, but I am talking about the beautiful sexual relationship of love, affection, hopes and passion that leads into the beautiful institution that we call “marriage”, where the certificate called “beautiful kids” is received. It should remain clean and the parties undefiled until the marriage tent has been entered.
Now, what's your take on this?

Seun: We are specifically against retail forex, which is "the small segment of the larger foreign exchange market where individuals speculate on the exchange rate between different currencies" because it "has been promoted by some as an easy way to make profits and has thus been the focus for a number of foreign exchange frauds", according to wikipedia. Dude, be honest. You are not getting enough AD revenues from the thread. I can almost bet that if you were raking in tons of dough on AD sales from the thread we would not be having this conversation. Just put up a disclaimer on FTA and be done with it. You are not a police officer nor a lawyer. You are neither liable because it is not against the law to trade forex, so i wonder why the concern. |

frisky2good: Noone is saying it's forex trading and sports betting is illegal. It's those making it look like a get rich quick scheme thag are giving it a bad name. I dare anyone here to post a game (single or accumulator) that will give a 10 to 1 reward. Noone will do that but they keep offering to sell games that will make you rich in 90 minutes. I don't think you fully realize that you have nullified your own argument. Just like you said, it is not illegal. Just like smoking and drinking is not illegal. We all know that these two things are bad for you but people engage in it all the time. Why? Because they are adults who are free to make their own choices. This is why there is a disclaimer for whom so ever want's to engage in it. Even here on NL, the romance section has topics almost closely related to porn. Why has seun not banned it? I stand by what i said; he has a black man's mentality. Banning it won't change a damn thing. Anyway, it's his business and he can do whatever he likes with it. They seem to have a trigger finger when it comes to bans on this forum. There are members who have up to 20 ID's. The criteria for membership is lax because you can open a yahoo ID in five minutes and then open an account on NL. It is not like there is a reward system for having one ID so why do it? He is only encouraging multiple ID's by following this policy. Anyway, the true concept of choice and freedom is a concept that is alien to most Nigerians. P.S Forex is a game of Numbers and time. It's all about statistics and math. People are just too impatient and s.tupid to understand it. |
