Primegold: Those are special breed - the Holstein Friesian breed imported from Netherlands and crossbred with the local breed to improve adaptability to tropical weather. The breed can weigh up to 580 kg when mature. It is clearly much larger than any West African breed.
It is high time Govt begins to encourage ranch ownership in Nigeria. It's like saying a jalopy is different from a new car. A jalopy is still a jalopy. |

Food › Re: Cook In Your Kitchen, Take Pictures And Post It Here. SIMPLE! by banmee(m): 1:46am On Apr 29, 2016 |
Schwartz: One of the culture shocks I experienced here abroad is that oyinbo people here don't cook. Although i live alone, but i came on holidays at my man's house in the South so we share a fully furnished kitchen with them , but they just don't cook in it. There are 2 German ladies, a French lady and a German man. None has ever cooked any meal. The only equipment getting busy in the kitchen is the kettle for tea and coffee machine. They don't even use the microwave to warm anything. But me and my man (Nigerians) we stun them by making heavy meals all the time. From fries, jollof rice to grills to Naija soups, and swallows, we don't joke with our tummy. When they come to into kitchen they keep asking what are you making? Looks nice. The German man once asked me why do you cook all the time? Its shocking to him. I told him in my country no man will marry you if you cant cook. But we have given him our Naija jollof rice, salad, chicken and egusi soup. He liked it. The other German lady was stretching her neck into my egusi soup pot and asking questions. We gave her some soup and swallow, she liked it too. Back to your question, my big cup of tea goes with half a loaf of bread, fried eggs, bacon, sausages. That's to wake the stomach up. Heavy Swallow and soup comes in later in the afternoon. Life is short o. I can't drink half a cup of tea and be okay. My tummy would rumble You must be a student in Germany or you are living in close proximity to students. Because the ones i know, dem take food swear for them. There is always an excuse to cook one thing or another. If na U.S, i go gree with you. If no be Thanksgiving dem no de cook anything. Fast food and frozen foods don dabaru dem head. |

Food › Re: 10 Food Items Nigerians Abroad Miss by banmee(m): 5:09am On Apr 28, 2016 |
ijaw1stson: The existence of the stores popularly known as African stores has it possible for Nigerians abroad to at least have access to most of the food items usually loved. Thoughts of these items could make them yearn to go home every once in a year or more. Some of these food items usually not found abroad are often requested for when getting prepared to get back abroad. Although the African stores still provide alternatives, yet, that hunger for the original persists.
Below are some of the food items:
1. Starch and banga
This is one of the original delicacies from the Urhobo, Isoko and Ukwuani speaking communities of Delta state. Starch which is one of the most cherished swallows among these people, cannot be found at the various African stores. For the banga (palm fruit) usually used for a kind of soup called banga soup can also not be found. Although, there are the canned ones but there’s a wide difference in the tastes. The Deltans use this soup with any swallow. The Igbos eat the soup (which they call ofe aku) with rice basically. OP, where are you getting you facts from? Every single thing on your list is found abundantly abroad. You just wan type something sha. Finger just de scratch you. |

PMB should do something about his fellow fulani brothers. You are talking like this is new. It's the jungle justice mentality. It's the mentality of "i can do whatever I like because I am law unto myself". It's been in the blood of Nigerians since independence. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Suleman To El-Rufai: “You Are Dead Already, Ask For Date Of Your Burial" (video) by banmee(m): 2:13pm On Apr 26, 2016 |
wallbuilder: Its not a personal fight between elrufai and apostle johnson suleiman. Its a fight between elrufai and the church. I agree that elrufai is a pathological liar. He was on Channels tv and said that christians in kaduna are just 30%. Thats a wicked lie. Saul tried to fight ghe church but converted in the process. Pharoah perished in the sea.Herod died. You cant fight the church of God. Elrufai cannot figh christians and succeed. A vast majority of Nigerians just say things without thinking. How can anyone come out in public and say another person will die. On the legal side, this is same as threat to life. In a normal society, the police would have arrested the pastor by now. Just recently, a teen posted something similar on twitter and he was arrested in the U.S. Why is Nigeria so lawless? No one can see into the future. I repeat no one. The only way the pastor is so sure is if he is planning it. This justifies why the governor is sponsoring this bill. You can't just do whatever you want in the name of religion. Nigerians are being r.aped in all aspects of their daily lives. On the one hand, you have the government giving it to it's citizen in a doggy position and the other hand you have the pastors forcing their di.cks in their mouths and the citizens are just taking it in silence. A good old fashion gan.g bang. Some of the citizens actually do like being phucked. What a country. You all need to wake up from this mental slumber you seem to be in. God help una. What am i saying? You all better help yourselves, because no one else will. |
