I wonder why Nigeria police can't be wearing "body camera" on any operations. Its not common or rampant for an American police to commit crime because of that.....

Oyinbo are really ahead of us 1m times.
Body cameras won't solve the problem. It didn't stop George Floyd's murder so what gives.
Death sentence I reckon will bring sanity to Nigeria. You can't bear arms unbehalf of the government and use those weapons to obtain valuables from unarmed civilians. The penalty should be death sentence, straight up.

She was not reprimanded for accepting a marriage proposal. She was reprimanded because it was made a public affair. She is a human being, entitled to start a family.

So stop being an ignorant monkey.
Weddings are public events that's why you have guests and people are even encouraged to come forth with any information why couples shouldn't get married.
The Nigerian army participates fully in wedding ceremonies of personnel.
Let the army quietly let this case slide than bring forward silly retorts as excuse for this miscarriage of justice.

I will stop replying to you because you don't seem to have any good points.
I gave you an example of an organizational policy and all you did was to say the two are not near. What do you mean by that? If I want to take on you using that alone, I can show instances so many lecturers didn't follow that policy. So, you want to tell me if someone (a VC) comes and demands that such policy should be followed, it means his action has a religious undertone or what?
Please have an open mind when you read and talk so you don't create problems for yourself in the future. I am sure if that proposal was done outside the official hours of duty of that soldier or after that Camping period, there wouldn't have been an issue for her
So it is against the military policy to propose to a soldier? What the actual nonsense are you talking about? You have no legs to grand stand on this matter. Even your general is embarrassed enough by this episode that he went out of his way to see to the soldier's release but here you are defending the entire nonsense, even shamelessly attempting to draw parallels with a university policy.

Not doing it a civilian, many army men propose to their civilian gfs. She disrespected her position as a trainer and uniform bt do unnecessary lovey dovy stuffs while still in the camp as a trainer and in her uniform. undecided

The mumu Corper was also part of the problem by encouraging her to whip his ego and behave in a manner inconsistent with her job just to show off or please the crowd.

It was gross indiscipline.

Ps: if the Corper had respectfully proposed to his superior and shared a hug and left side attractions for later this would not be happening.
This happened at the last hours of their camp after their POP, I hope you realize this?

Please stop sounding like someone who has not been to school before. Each organization has its policies. Just as in the Universities, it is prohibited for a lecturer to have a relationship with a female student that he teaches (even if the student is 30 years old). The reason is that he will not be fair to other students in the class. I believe the military has a similar policy too.
Sorry to say this, but you sound incoherent trying to compare classroom and orientation camp.
The two are nowhere the same. School involves examination and grading, so it is understandable to put up policy that levels the playing field for everyone.

The main issue here which people like you are playing the ostrich is the religious undertone of this episode. In the more liberal South, Ebonyi state, precisely in 2019, a Corp member engaged a female soldier, it made headlines here on Nairaland. Nobody was court marshaled, nobody was reprimanded, it was a sweet story for those those involved.
Here we are, in a Muslim controlled caliphate state of Kwara, a female soldier kissing a man in public, is Haram, all hell broke loose.

This is yet again, another prime example that we have 2 countries existing in the same place called Nigeria.

All of you ranting here, flip the coin imagine if the corper was female I bet most of u will sing a very different tone. Soldiers in NYSC camps are instructors and are not in anyway supposed to have anything apart to do with a Corp member outside NYSC activities, I saw some people say how about male soldier who propose in their uniforms but they didnt ask if those females were Corp members under going compulsory 3 weeks camping exercise. What do I know, Nigerians are hypocrites by the way.
So what if the soldier was a man. Who in their right sense will flip seeing a soldier propose to a female Corp member and she accepted? It wouldn't even make news considering how closely attached the soldiers are with the Corp members in camp.
Durring my time in camp, we celebrated the birthday of our staff Sergent at Mami late into the night.

Do you know the bad publicity this has given the military? Young intelligent girls who might want to enlist could be having second thoughts seeing how this story develops with the soldier detained and disgraced.

There is a pop up to keep waiting whenever your waiting time elapse.

So you missed that pop up.

Because immediately that pop up exits it loads you an option of emailing them since you can't wait.
The waiting time do not last up to 10 seconds and it automatically routes straight to email. Your email will not even be responded to by an agent but a pre programed bot.
Their live chat is subject to availability according to them. Make of that what you will.

Please who else has faced this challenge. I tried withdrawing fiverr funds today via Payoneer Bank withdrawal which I have used since 2017. Usually, when a withdrawal is initiated, you receive an email notification within 5mins which you approve then choose instant withdrawal at $3 or 1$ for a waiting period of 3days. Your funds practically gets to your payoneer within 30mins after your email approval.

Now it appears this system have changed. I got no email notification, no sms prompt nothing! But my fiverr balance is showing transaction success while my payoneer balance has not reflected. It's been hours already and I'm fatigued.

Why go through all this stress to withdraw your own money after an initial wait period of 2weeks? What kind of rubbish is this?

I think the NFF will go ahead and hire a foreign manager now Rohr's contract has been terminated. Eguavoen is just a placeholder being the technical director of the NFF, in football hierarchy either the assistant coach steps in or the technical director, pending when the chosen man is hired, which could take days or weeks. Interesting times ahead

If the opposition was involved in this terror financing, the government would have gone out of their way to nail them but instead what we have is an attempt at image laundering when evidence is clear as day. Put two and two together, you will get the answers you seek.

The Tavares experiment must end. The kid has caused enough damage with his style of play. That first goal came as a result of his poor pass to nobody, which Man utd transitioned and Ronaldo swept home. If we went into half time with the lead, no way Man utd would have came back.
Tavarez was my only disappointment as I no longer consider Aubameyang disappointing, but expected.

I don't see it that way. A good team is a good team and can win anywhere regardless. Takr Spain to Qatar and pair them against any North African team and see how advantageous it will be for the Africans.

Besides, taking the qualifiers to Qatar, if true should work in the favor of an African team. Atleast, they will be much adapted to playing in Qatar than the rest of the world.

Will you describe ruggedity as the Super Eagles game? It was more about running and stamina. No matter how good the opposing team is, we will do our best to out work them. Not ruggedity.

Why not list Amunike, Finidi, Celestine, Iroha, Chidi Nwanu etc as rugged. Maybe Okocha was rugged. Or Adokie Amiesemaka, or Segun Odegbami.
How about Sunday Eboigbe and Bright Omokaro? The Nigerian public till date still take pride in reminding themselves how 10 10 broke an Algerian player into shreds.

The Dutch can be rough o forget don't you remember the world cup games against Portugal (2006) and Spain (2010) when they da si rough the game?
I'm talking about the old Dutch style. The real total football Johan Cryuff style, everybody is trained to be comfortable with the ball including the keeper. They dumped that style prior to 2006 world cup after they failed to qualify for 2002 Korea Japan.
In 2010 under Van marwijk, they were pragmatic with DE Jong and Van Bommel in the middle.

Oliseh was def in skill and passing. Just like Fernandinho does the hard game to break when we lose the ball but we dominate the game for a long time and Fernandinho is a big part of our passing game. Does that mean it makes the team physical?

What about Rodri? Will you say he is a physical player because of his defensive contributions?
So Oliseh lacked physicality? Oliseh was just like Busquets? Do you think you're talking to a kid?

When some of us say we play like the Dutch we are talking about attacking play from the wings, backed by a creative midfield and fullbacks who overlap occasionally. Dutch style is not necessarily tiki taka but what I would call an attractive direct style making use of skill and creativity to open up your opponents. Whereas tiki taka simply put is passing your adversary to death.

Yes we are physical and rugged but there's a lot of sublime skill and creativity in that mix. Watch Bonfere and Siasia teams then you will understand what I mean.
The Dutch style is pure total football. Where everybody is confortable on the ball. They rely more on technicality than physical strength and power.

Our game has never been physical and rugged. Do you remember when Nigerian fans scream, eh he, eh he, eh he during passing. It came from our style over the years. Why do you think the likes of Finidi, Kanu, Oliseh could easily blend with Ajax?

Over the years, we lost a lot of games in the 80s there was this statement that we played all the game and lost to Cameroon.

Our game has never been about ruggedity.

Which players were rugged?
Oliseh was as strong and physical as they come. He got a lot of cards and was a renouned bad boy during his playing days.

Are you saying Siasia was coaching ruggedity or Fanny Amun was coaching ruggedity. What about Christian Chukwu or Amodu Shuaibu?

Nigeria has always been a team that play and have the crowd screaming.
We played with speedy and good dribblers on the flanks. Those dribblers wow the crowd, not tiki taka.
This acclaimed Dutch system has lead majority of Nigerians astray with false idea of how we really play the game.
If you notice, we don't produce defenders with sublime ball playing skills. Taribo, Okechukwu, Yobo, Okoronkwo etc were never ball playing defenders.

How do you play total football without ball playing center backs?

That’s what I deduced from your reasons.

Tiki Taka is not good for our players.

We rely more on wing play and that’s why most of our best players are wingers.

We need a coach that is direct, plays fast -paced attacking football with high-intense, counter-attacking style of football that suits our players style of play. Not one boring Tiki Taka that will limit their potential.
Exactly. Our style has never been tiki taka. I laugh when people say we play like the Dutch. I don't understand that sense of illusion.
Our game have always been physical, rugged, power play and speed. Europeans and South Americans always dreed playing us because of our physicality.

It's only Nigerians that think we play like the Dutch.
South Africa, Ghana and Morroco play the closest system to tiki take or Dutch football not Nigeria.

That is your belief but devoid of fact. Why should Tanzania be the case study alone?

Secondly, I have also called for Luis Milla years ago, strictly because I want us to play the system.

Simple. I want the best coach we can get to teach us to play the system. Amunike is the best at it. It has nothing to do with obsession with Amunike. He played and got trained in the system. Simple.
How successful has he been with his interpretation of this style? He has not had an outstanding career as a coach over a decade he has been a manager.

TheGoodJoe:

I wonder where you get that. I have told you before I used to leave in the same block as Coach Monday Sinclair, who was one of the earliest men that played possession football to its fullest.

We have had a lot of coaches but Amunike played as a professional under the philosophy. His teammates are leaders of the game today. Enrique and Guardiola. He trained as a coach under the system.

Now I also pointed out his scouting ability which has been part of the quality players in the Super Eagles today. So these two qualities are the reason why I pick Amunike.

By the way, Imama played Tiki Taka under Sinclair. Finidi played possession footy under Sinclair and Van Gaal. Siasia even coaches his with an expansion theory to keep the ball moving faster than the opposition.

So I wonder why you feel I am saying Amunike is the only one. I said Amunike is well versed in it.

Keep in mind he is training local coaches in it because he knows it indepth. If it is to write website on it, it is easy for Amunike.
You failed to address the elephant in the room. Tanzania under Amuneke didn't play to this philosophy. Alot of us watched them with keen interest during the Afcon because of Amuneke.

You can say they lacked quality players but we should have seen the blueprint of this system in their 3 games. They can loose all 3 matches, but the blueprint will be there for all to see.

Even at the U17 finals, Mali had more possession than his team.

You're putting yourself about like an obsessed Amuneke fan, nothing more nothing less.

Keep it simple - The Philosophy of Xavi in a nutshell.

"I think he follows the same philosophy as Guardiola," Al Sadd's Guilherme Torres told ESPN. "Having possession and enjoying the game, but not just having possession. Sometimes you see teams with 80% possession, but only one shot on goal.

"[Xavi] likes to be aggressive, fight for the ball, play in the opponent's half and play with intelligence. He likes it when players are happy on the pitch -- I think the same way he was [as a player]. He likes to put a lot of pressure on opponents in their half. That's how he understands football."

I am seeing people throwing names from Moldovia to Uzbekistan. Some names I can't pronounce as choice candidate to coach Super Eagles.

Look at the above philosophy. That is exactly the way I believe we will excel as a team.

We need a coach who understands and can put that template to work. So all these names can't guarantee that

Amunike understands and has played the template. That makes him best to do it.

Also we need to keep in mind that we need thorough scouting home and abroad to find gems that will improve the team.

Amunike has the history of spotting fantastic talents and this is another reason why he should get the job.

If your Kazakhstan and Estonia coaches can not fit in the above, it is a waste of time and money signing them.
You talk up tiki taka and possession game championing Amuneke, when as a matter of factly the number 1 tiki taka coach Nigeria is Abdul Maikaba.
He calls his philosophy "Reiteni a passa". Maikaba is the only Nigerian coach who has a website where he explains his passing philosophy with no compromise on retaining possession and passing in triangles.

Amuneke's Tanzania played anything but tiki taka during his stint there.
