Correct.

We were too slow in the first half with no sense of urgency. Let's hope we bounce back.
The goal was expected. If we had played Egypt like this, no way we would have won. I don't why they didn't fly out of the traps against a very scared Tunisia. Shocking stuff here.

Shocking performance all round. Can't believe this team were walking around the pitch in the first half as if they were playing for a draw. Okoye with butter fingers

The football has been incredibly dry. For the reputation we have built in this tournament, I would have to say we have been flat. I hope other teams don't see this game and think we have been demystified.
Shocking performance so far.

I don't like what I'm seeing. The Super Eagles are walking around the pitch. No zip in their movement. Are they feeling too confident?

If we should be worried about those players then they should be worried about Jordan Torunarigha, Eze, Oliseh. Tella. You get the point right?

What do you think is the probability of those players being in the GH squad in two months time for a match they're not certain of winning, potentially miss the world cup and block their chances with ENG. Those guys are rather going to wait and see if Ghana beats Nigeria then show interest if they will. Even if they do declare today, Who will clear them under two months?

I'm sure people like Hudson Odoi are still trying to see if they can get to the World Cup with ENG. That one is just taking Ghana for a ride. The way they'll hate him if he eventually plays for England eh.
We are already loaded. To be honest the only player out of the list you named who will improve our midfield is Olishe and maybe Eze, but Olishe in particular. He will be form a good trident with Ndidi and Aribo. But that's by the way.

I know Ghana have been working on Odoi and Nketia. If they get current Aston Villa u23 coach, George Boateng as manager, he could convince some of these guys and you know,Tariq Lamptey might play for them as well since his position is loaded for the 3 lions with Trent Alexander, Walker, Trippier. Wan Bissaka doesn't even get invite and could turn out for Congo while Matty Cash has since ported to Poland.
Regardless of what happens, Ghana won't be down for long.

We shouldn't be hyped about Salisu if he decides to play for Ghana. I would be worried if they get Tariq Lamptey, Hudson Odoi, Eddie Nketia and Afenya Gyan. These four can help them push the Eagles, absolute game changers but they will really struggle to win because they would be playing for the first time.
The apparent Lack of cohesion against Nigeria who have been playing together for 4yrs. Infact, Ghana stand no chance, they should focus and build for the future which can be exciting if they get it right.

The only team I am not too confident about us meeting. We will need very bullish and sharp strikers to outwit them.
Add to that, playing the final against them in their home.. That one no go easy. Anyways somebody else will do the work grin
Cameroun and Ivory Coast will give us a hard game. But it's about time we retaliate the Afcon 2000 finals in Lagos. Meeting Cameroun in the finals and besting them in Yaounde will heal the wounds but that said, we have a terrible record against them in AFCON finals.

Emenalo won’t see all Chelsea players on loan, they have a loan manager or so. The eagles under Rohr had a team scout, his job was to watch and monitor all potential SE players so I’m not sure it’s the job of the TD to watch every potential players
Oga, the loan manager gives a weekly report on all players and submit to the technical director. Everything virtually falls at the desk of the TD. Saying he doesn't know a player is a very careless statement smirking of gross incompetence, worthy of getting relieved of his job.
Wasn't the technical committee at one point supposed to vet the players invited by Rohr? How can he vet the players when he doesn't know them?

We honestly don't care

Anybody wey no know say na luck dey carry us go this AFCON just dey live for lala land, because even the team na cut and join.

If luck is on his side, fine, if not, Jose Pepperoni gets to start his World Cup qualification work early.

Eguaveon is not a top coach, has never been and will never be, so, I no know wetin bring the comparison to Pep and Klopp. Nothing concern akamu and bran.

He will not be the first coach to admit that he has not seen a top player play. If he is fine with what he currently has, no wahala. France did not take Benzema to the World Cup and they won it with a Giroud that most of you would admit is not as good as Benzema. Did heaven fall?

Abeg, manage your expectations going into AFCON. Our coach is not Pep, we don't have Mbappe on the wings or CR7 up top, TAA is not our RB, Modric is not manning the midfield and Mendy is not our goalie.

Anything wey we see starting from next week, walahi, na God do am for us, because as I dey so, I no know as ball go be. Even the players no know as e go be
I didn't ask him to be Pep or Klopp. His comments about needing luck at different interviews tells of an incompetent guy who doesn't trust his body of work to see him through.
Can you imagine an Emenalo as TD saying he hasn't seen a Chelsea loan player in Eredivisie play? It's just that the Nigerian journalists he was speaking to aren't smart people, if he was speaking to a smart journalist he would have seriously left the interview with eggs on his face.

Eguavoen mentioned he has not watched him play and i am..is this man been truthful to himself, this is a chap that plays for one of the biggest club in Holland, play in Europa, score goals and a national team technical director says he does not know how he plays...We are in a for a long thing...thank God he leaves after Afcon back to his previous post.
That's a damning verdict on Eguavoen. It means he hasn't been doing his job. As TD he should keep a dossier on all Nigerian players in Europe top leagues at least.
I laugh when people praise Eguavoen's tactical acumen. This guy was a resounding failure the last time he was with the super Eagles. He was hounded out from the national team with all kinds of bad press.

The man keeps talking about luck everytime. That tells he has an already made excuse should he fail. I have never heard a top manager talking about needing luck in interviews, klopp? Tuchel? Flick? Pep? The man is clueless.

We now have round of 16 in the nation's cup then quarter finals, no way he navigates through and get to the semi finals on luck. Eguavoen doesn't have the capacity, who wan bet?

Amaju is a big problem no doubt, but so are those with the job who by their passiveness have enabled him. Most of the persons on the technical committee are ex footballers. Can't they refuse to be treated this way and release statements each time the FA president dies their job? They other day, respected journalist Paul Bassey who is also a member of the technical committee said they don't know the details of Rohrs contract. Why then are they there? Adepoju also recently said he wasn't privy to a recent decision. Can't they all mass resign in protest? Or at least do something.

Amaju has done a lot of harm, but those around him enabling him by their actions of inactions are also complicit
Amaju is an over bearing character. He is a dominant personality and his role in FIFA and CAf has emboldened him so much that he seems larger than life.
The Sports minister is the only person who can whip him in line. The whole thing exposes the institutional weakness of the FA and this lack of direction from a strong technical department is the reason why none of our national teams will do well, male or female in any age group.

I think the goodjoe isn’t entirely wrong, Austin should have a say in who will be appointed
The technical department of the FA should be the strongest department in any organization. It should be the brain box but in Nigeria, it is the weakest department contributing nothing. I doubt they are even funded at all.
I haven't heard of the technical department organizing coaching clinics for grassroot coaches. Eguavoen was talking about SIT which is a mere academic thought, his department is not coordinating the local grassroot coaches to train them to coach these players in the vision of the FA.
They should be going to league venues, both NNL and NPFL to access matches and bring up policies to see the growth of the the game in the country.
For instance, you notice the goalkeepers in Nigeria league always start wasting time from the first minute. This act is killing the league, making our game play painfully slow and this is reflected even in the Super Eagles where they are slow to come out of the blocks.

And yes, the Technical department should be scouting for coaches for the various national teams. Not Amaju Pinic.

Worldwide, the Presbyterian church has been having serious decline in membership over a period of time in Nigeria. It's such a pity because the church played a key role in Nigerian Christianity with the likes of Mary Slessor.
The Catholic church came in and swept them away using philanthropic gestures with building schools and free maternal health care.
It's a pity this fate has befallen them.

Incase anyone is still doubt how poor the officiating was today, Arsenal ONLY committed 11 fouls during the game and had 5 yellows and red. City 13 fouls 2 yellows in added time one for taking off shirt and one kicking the ball away. No yellow cards for their fouls. This can’t be right! If city and Guardiola had any honors, they will elect to replay this game.

Anyway, despite this loss, I smell something cooking nice with this Arsenal team. Sometimes you need heartbreaks to grow up. This result will linger in the young players minds and they will be have vengeance on their hearts to do well. The job of the manager now will be to guide the boys and steer their energy towards positive growth.
I see this team having a rebound and going on a strong run in the coming games. City know they were bested for large periods of the match.

Spy360:
It's a basic rule in defending, never pull. Xhaka should know this especially when inside the box. Do anything but never pull.

Man City fouled us many times but got few cards because they know how to foul. They may push or tackle but they won't pull shirt or arm.

I don't know how an experience player like Xhaka wouldn't know this.
Sure never pull a shirt of an opponent in trying to stop his progress in the air or through on goal. Silva in this case was on his way down. The shirt pull didn't impeed his progress. If anything I think Xhaka was trolling him not to go down by holding his shirt.

Rodri didn't even get a foul called against him when he clattered dangerously into Martinelli. The VAR didn't call the ref to re-watch the Odegard penalty shout. I think the VAR official was assisting as the linesman when this happened I don't know but this game was just a mess.

English referees are totally bent. There is a reason a corrupt organization like FIFA don't want anything to do with English refs at the world cup.
How can that be a penalty When Xhaka was pulling Silva up while he was on the way down? That's basic physics! And this is happening in a season where soft penalties have been legislated against.

Travel › Re: How Were They Able To Construct The Great Pyramid Without Modern Machineries? by Barryseal: 8:13pm On Dec 30, 2021
The aliens or Nephilims have been here with us in the past. Fact! They left behind several monuments which stand till this day, the pyramids is just one of them.
Here in Nairaland it was reported a few days ago that NASA have contracted a priest to help them study how several religions will react to the news of extraterrestrial beings. NASA wouldn't do this if they haven't found life on the other side.

Coming down to the pyramids, there are several theories what it could have been but one particular theory which I lean towards is the theory that it was some kind of a nuclear powered space launch pad, which the aliens used to travel through space. The ancient Egyptians obviously had contact with these beings as depicted in their arts and sculptures of King Akhenaten with his elongated skull.

Another great evidence to extreme engineering the extraterrestrials left behind is the church in Lalibela Ethiopia (pictured below) . The edifice clearly depicted a kind of Lazer technology which was used to power through hard granite to achieve a 0.02 precision. Your normal tools like wodden chisels and mallet available at 1100s would not achieve this kind of Lazer precision. It's just impossible. Even the locals believed angels came at night to work on the site while men worked in the morning.
It's a clear example of our extraterrestrial experience.

Nigerians are copy cats. Engagement ring have no place in our culture. The white man you try to copy do not pay bride prize, the bride prize they pay is this engagement ring, that's why they go out of their way to buy expensive engagement ring studded with diamond to please their bride and give her a sense of value.
But the Nigerian man has bride prize, traditional marriage and white wedding to foot the bills and you still want to add $7000 alien culture engagement ring . Nonsense
