What is the harm in being self employed while waiting for federal government jobs?

Those of you who did FRSC physical screening at 82 division Enugu will agree with me that applying for federal government jobs without knowing anyone at the helm of affairs is a WASTE OF RESOURCES, WASTE OF ENERGY AND WASTE OF TIME.

In the entire country, 4600 people will be employed and the possition I applied for is officer cadre and from a reliable source, only 400 people will be taken for that position.

Now let's do a little mathematics.
In my screening center alone, we were over 4000 BSc holders that applied for officer cadre.

Remember 400 is needed in the entire country for the position of officer cadre.
400/37 is approximately 11

It means that only 11 people out of over 4000 applicants will be chosen from Enugu state.

Out of the 11 people, how many politicians have slots? But let assume its strictly based on merit.
11/4000 x 100 = 0.275%
Which means anyone that applied stands a 0.275% chance of getting the job and 99.725% chance of not getting the job.

My question is now, why wasting money buying white shoes, white shorts and polo and spending on transport and food when you know your chances of getting the job is just 0.275%?

I will never ever ever apply for anything federal government job again unless I have a strong connection I rather channel that energy, time and Resources in something productive.
I also implore jobless graduates to start something that brings money, atleast from there you grow higher and higher while waiting for your dream job because indeed these people (politicians) don't mean well for the youths in this country

Why Buhari Government Is South West Government

I have always maintained this Buhari Govt is south west government. South west as a region is major Beneficiary of this Buhari government.

In terms of Appointment, south west is well represented both in numbers and relevance. Actually south west control the economic policy of this govt with Osibanjo as the head of the economic team. Minister of finance South west. The economic engine room in terms of expenditure which is works, power and housing is under South west control through Fashola.


In terms of infrastructure, south west got a huge share in the infrastructural expenditure on rail, road, airport etc. Lagos- Ibadan expressway , Lagos - ibadan rail huge capital cost comes to mind.

In terms of party politics, South west is well respected and relevant in APC. Tinubu wanted the chairman gone, and he is as good as gone.

In terms of federal govt specific state targeted policy/ decision, south west has benefitted through Lagos. This govt has given support to Lagos state by giving national stadium to Lagos state, by giving or allowing oshodi airport road to be managed by Lagos state. And through support for Dangote refinery and epe seaport.

Declaring June 12 democracy day is a masterstroke. And honouring Gani with the award of GCON is also a sign Buhari give high regards to south west. And also with this action, he has destroyed his most powerful critic in south west which is Obasanjo. He just silenced OBJ among the south westerners.


Even under Obasanjo, south west didn't get this level of regards and respect. Under GEJ, South west was taken for granted whether deliberately or not.

It also mean Tinubu movement from AD to AC to ACN to APC has achieved something significant. Tinubu will be very proud as the current face of south west politics.

And if the south east(igbo) don't play smart and matured politics, if Buhari wins 2019, South west has a very high chance of taking over from him in 2023.

Well, let me use myself as example because I want to be straightforward and talk on the things I am sure of.

1. I am 6.2ft tall and weigh 81kg and I think that's not stunted growth which the poster claims affect those that masturbate.

2. Lost of memory is laughable to me, because if loss of memory is associated with masturbation, I wouldn't have been among the top 10 best graduating students in my department despite the tough department I graduated from. Those that have loss of memory are usually dull in academics.

3. Weakness is also not associated with me because I am a very energetic young man who can lift one bag of cement without any assistance, I don't think a weak man can easily lift such 50kg weight without any assistance.

4. I also don't have any history of bad eyesight and has never won any medicated glasses since I was born till now.

5. Laziness is not also associated with me by any means because after graduating as top best ten and serving my father land, the only job I was able to secure was paying me peanuts not even up to 30k.
