Okonsss: Finally, my journey to Germany has just started. I have some few questions guys. 1. What will this money in the blocked account be used for? What if an applicant wasn't given a visa, what will happen to the money? Can I withdraw all the money in the account and send it back to my people in Nigeria? 2. Are there schools with law related courses. I am a lawyer to be and I wish to go for my masters programme? 3. I don't understand German, can I survive in Germany? 4. Things are hard in the country, like how much is monthly accommodation in Berlin or other cities? 5. After my 1 year programme hope they won't send me back to Nigeria like in the UK ?
Anyone with answers biko... Lol. All these five questions especially the last one show that you have not done any research about Germany or even read previous posts at all. But let me answer to the best of my knowledge. 1. The Block account is a proof of financial buoyancy. It's still your money and will be given back to you when you reach Germany but you have to understand that it won't be given to you completely at once. It will be given to you in parts every month usually 720 euro for a whole year. If you don't get visa, you can apply for a refund using your rejection as evidence. Its not an issue at all. 2. Yes, they are schools offering law for MSc but they usually teach with German and demands high German fluency before even giving you admission. Same for most other professional courses like medicine and even civil engineering. 3. You don't understand Germany, then you must be willing to learn it and learn it with high fluency to practice law in Germany. 4. It takes a Nigerian with high sense of discipline and financial management about 500 to 700 euros every month to survive in Germany. 5. First of all, no msc in Germany is for one year. Its mainly 2 years but some people don't even finish within that 2 years sef. After your masters, you will be given just 18 months to look for job related to your work. If you are fortunate to get one (which usually demands knowledge of German ) then you can apply for blue card and work towards permanent residency. If you are unfortunate to get any job related to your field which guarantees your stay in Germany, then you be kicked out of Germany back to your country. Many people who could not get job in order to continue staying in Germany will gladly start another masters program or start PhD just to avoid coming back to this shitthole of a country |

odimbannamdi: Hi bro...
I admire your zest and enthusiasm for success (which by your standard translates to having loads of money), but you really should reduce your expectations so that you dont get disappointed when you go over there or meddle into questionable activities just to make more money.
Like some one said, the key is to make good grades upon graduation and also consider making good networks even while you are still here. You can also start learning the german language so that you will blend into the system quickly when you get over there.
I wish you what i would wish myself when i go over there Crime does not run in my blood. Thanks for your advice and your wishes bro |

Dlimitbreaker: Pls i have had admissions since 2017,i kept on deferring because of block funds,i have even opened a block acct but yet to fund,i have another admission now to resume sept 17 2019, am yet to fund, should just book for visa interview or what. I need you enlightenment No don't book yet. We are in the same shoes (the difference is that you already have admission and I don't have yet) Since you already have admission and no money for your block account. This is what you should do. 1. Print the admission letter in the brightest colours into two copies (coloured printing please ) 2. Hand one to your parents and keep one. 3. Pray very well and then Use that coloured printed admission letter to meet your rich relatives, pastor, friends and tell your parents to use their own copy too to source for money on your behalf. Please remember to emphasis on the fact that you will pay them back immediately you get to Germany. If possible use strong collateral like lands and anything worthy to convince them on how serious you are. It's very rare for any Nigerian who is not your parents or sibling to just give you money like that without either trusting in you or your family or without collateral. 4. When you are sure of block account, then you book your appointment. Booking appointment without being sure of your block account is like someone eating in an expensive restaurant without being sure of how to pay for his meal After your interview, you might be given just a month to fund your block account. Can you fund almost 9000 euros within a month? That's why you should make plans before time. Don't rush to book appointment when you ain't sure of your block account |

7Alexandre: With this idea, the west might not be the best for you...
The west in general including Germany isn’t a place you acquire questionable amount of money within the shortest possible time...
The system is designed in such a way that majority of the money earned in Germany gets spent in Germany...
€10,000/year is quite a high number, €5,000/year is doable....
I have saved $8,000/ year before by working minimum wage jobs but I had to inconvenience myself to save up such amount i.e. Getting a roommate, Stop Dinning out, Reduce my Clubbing Habits, learn how to shop cheap e.t.c.
It was difficult but I was able to accomplish it since I wasn’t in School So didn’t have to bother about Academics...
Also ended up doing a lot of Overtime Hours since that’s where the real money is... I dont mind doing overtime hours. My priority is making lots of money while studying for free because my belief is that education without money is nonsence |
Travel › Re: Nigerian Students In Germany..how Do You Survive?? by Basalt(m): 10:16am On Apr 28, 2019 |
7Alexandre: Very unlikely...
Unlike Nigeria, the west is structured differently. When you factor in Taxes, Rent, Feeding & other Miscellaneous expenses, you will only be left with a Meagre sum every month...
Your focused should be on graduating College & getting a Good Job, then saving €10,000/year wouldn’t be a big hurdle...
You don’t want to flunk out of school simply because you eyes are set on making money... I have an above average IQ and can work my ass off and still graduate well. When I was in school, I once left school to go and hustle and still came back 2 weeks before exam and cleared all the papers. I have never failed any exam since I was born. Even with my hustling spirit in school and social and political lifestyles and even writing exams for money for juniors, I still graduated with over 4point GPA out of possible 5 so I seriously believe school aint gonna be an issue at all in Germany even if I work very well because I usually pass exams with ease. My only worry is German language which I dont know at all but I will learn that too |

Is it possible to save like 10,000 euros every year while doing my MSc in Germany?
I really wanna save lots of money, so that even before the end of my MSc in Germany, I don get plenty money for account. I plan to overwork myself during summer holidays and save lots of money. Education ain't my main reason of planning to go to Germany, making money is my number one reason I wanna leave this shitthole. I wanna visit home after my studies smelling money money before going back to keep hustling for more |

If you have the money for education in America which is extremely high, go to USA. If you dont have enough Money, go to Germany.
Advantages of America 1. In America you will earn lots of money. The salaries are almost double that of Germany 2. On that salary, you pay lesser tax unlike in Germany where tax is very high 3.Cars and fuel are by far cheaper in America 4. You are not restricted by language barrier 5. You face lesser racism
Disadvantages of America 1. Gun problem. you can be shot dead because of many people having access to guns 2. Rents and cost of living is higher than Germany. 3. Extremely high cost of education
Advantages of Germany 1. Better healthare 2. more developed in many places 3. more jobs available (If you can speak Deutsh) 4. safer to live in 5. better and cheaper especially for a married person 6. Low/No tuition
Disadvantages of living in Germany 1. Very high tax 2. Much lower salary when compared to USA{You earn almost half of Americans and pay higher tax than Americans} 3. language barrier
In summary, if you wanna earn lots of money after graduating and you dont wanna stress yourself learning ich bin, danke, Guten Tag etc, then go to USA but if you want somewhere safer and where you wont pay high tuition then go to Germany |

Have you checked the ranking of this school in the world? Guy this school is not even among the first 2000 best universities in the world, better check well o o o. Why not apply to Karlsruhe Institute of Technology which is ranked 135 in the entire world and by far better and more prestigious than of karlsruhe university of applied science that is ranked over 2500 in the world. |

If we read through previous pages and use Google in most cases, some questions won't be appearing here repeatedly because you can easily get them from previous pages |

Goztino: HOW DO ONE SUCCEED IN GERMANY?
Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen. I don come again o o o with my curious question. From series of research I conducted, I found out that for one to get a job after his or her studies, he or she needs to
1. Know Deutsh to atleast B2 level 2. Get a good grade 3. Study the right needed course 4. Possess relevant skills and understanding in the course of study 5. Has relevant work experience which can be acquired via Hiwi and Internship during the course of study.
NOW MY QUESTIONS
1. Does Msc program in normal universities allow one to do internship in the industries even when he is not in University of Applied sciences (which focuses more in practical work?) 2. When is the appropriate time to register for German language course in other not to affect your studies and your part-time earnings 3. Is having a good grade in German universities as tough as having a good grade in Nigerian Universities? (I really studied hard in my BSc in Geology and managed to get the little stuff I got in Nigerian scale)
Please I am expecting answers because I wanna plan ahead I can't answer the bolded question, I mean the number one question about university doing internship Then for question number 2 The appropriate time to register for German language lesson is now. Make sure you reach at least level A2 in Deutsch before stepping your foot in Germany, it will make your life easier and you settle faster. There are many language schools in Nigeria where you can learn German. You can even learn on YouTube via Jenny's channel. You ve got to be hard working in learning Deutsch because your success in Germany mainly depends on it. Number 3 question If you focus well, it's easier to make good grades in Germany than in Nigeria. To pass in Nigeria, you need to memorise a lesson note or handout if possible cram it and pour it out on the exam day, in Germany you must fully understand the lecture before you pass. |

Hello everyone. I am afraid by the experience of some summer visa applicants here who are still expecting their AM when most of their enrolment deadlines have passed.
What went wrong and how can we (the winter applicants) avoid such scenario because I really don't wanna be stranded.
1. Is it that they didnt book appointment on time? 2. Is it that they didnt fund their block account? 3. Is it that they werent given admission on time?
What actually makes some people get AM before Enrolment while others get after enrolment? |

Magma012: Please house just received this... How are my chances of getting admitted
Dear ........
This year again we had many more applications than available places in the "Applied & Environmental Geoscience" Master program.
We are writing to inform you that you have been given a place on the WAITING LIST for the program starting in October 2019. But to be honest we should mention that, with respect to your position on the waiting list, chances for you to get a place are small.
In order to keep the processing time for waiting list candidates at a minimum, we need to know whether you would accept a place in case selected. Please confirm this with a short reply to aeg.msc@ifg.uni-tuebingen.de until April 30.
If you have any questions let us know.
Best regards, Monika Hope your motivation Letter is inspirational ? Just believe on God, whats your GP like ? |

BENTOSYN: In your portal, under “submission of application “, then “status” ...is “received electronically” ticked? If so is “The application documents have been checked and they are complete“ ticked? If your application has been received and checked for completeness and the “formal requirements” part isn’t ticked then you probably have not met the formal entry requirements...by the way did you send in “course description”? Proof of English and your CGPA are other likely reasons, although CGPA falls under “academic requirements” which will be checked by the admission board.
In all, you ve gotta keep your head up...in my experience, that’s the best approach in this kinda situation...it’s also important that you increase your chances by applying to other schools..cheers What again falls under academic requirements? |

If you know people wey apply to geoscience in Aachen , how will it change anything? 2. Its obvious you want someone who will give you hope but let me remind you that God is the only person to turn to when all hope is lost. 3. If you like worry yourself from now till end of April or even if Barak Obama pm you to give you hope , it won't change the faculty decision of Aachen this month. You can only wait for their decision. If I were you, I will apply to more universities to stand a better chance of admission not getting worried over Aachen decision which you have no power to change or even influence |

hadassaheke: I don't entirely agree with you sir. 1. Knowledge of the language is highly important except you're in the IT field then it won't really be a problem. In fact, knowledge of the language should be a top priority alongside one's academics. 2. Not just STEM courses, people studying management and international business are highly sought after, heck even people studying teaching and learning are highly sought after too. 3. Getting a white lady pregnant and getting your paper subsequently looks and sound easy, but the reality is a different ball game entirely. 4. Graduating on time and getting a PR isn't as easy and straight forward as it sounds, but it is doable. It also requires hard work. Know what you want, work towards it and the sky will be your starting point.
Like someone mentioned earlier on, whatever it is you're studying, be good at it. And please don't apply for a course for applying sake, be sure that it is what you want and always check each curriculum inorder to be on the safe side. Studying here isn't easy as one would think. Ofcus even a slowpoke knows that you need Deutsch to go far in Germany. I mustn't include that because I assume everyone already knows that |
