Desola: Nonsense!!!This something else I can't understand. There are over 200 tribes in Nigeria with 10s of millions of people, and yet when anyone dares question anything yoruba, you go ranting igbo this igbo that. Do u delusionally believe that everyone in Nigeria loves yorubas except igbos? |
Eko Ile: Keep quiet you damn lair. You can edit your story and add a difference source after the fact as much as you want, but the rubbish story still says the will san francisco, you failed to edit that part. Are you for real?? So all Yoruba people are born smart?! Boy are you living in denial. |
otumfour:Thanks bro. Abeg no cuss Naija people 2 much. We love some of ur music & we dey rock am wella for club/party. Abi nor b u guys give us azonto again? |
Ricky_Ross: PLS NOTE THAT I DIDNT WRITE THAT, IT WAS CULLED FROM A GHANA WEBSITE AND I POSTED THE SOURCE LINK FOR EVERYONE TO SEE...My bad |
Ricky_Ross: How does Nigerian music become very popular in Ghana? http://ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/artikel.php?ID=257945&comment=0#comHaving more Nigerians in Ghana than you have Ghanaians in Nigeria must be a big factor. Having said that, I don't think Nigerian music dominates to the extent u have described. |
onatisi: they are musicians here in ghana and in all fairness their latest effort is really really good nd making waves.Thanx 4 d links. What other Ghanaian bangers are maling waves in Ghana right now? |
Input: My question here is that like 10 or 15years ago would the girl even allow the guy come any close to her?She wouldn't have let him get any close to her because, 10 or 15yrs ago, the guy would have probably been bouncing around in a durag and dungarees with one leg folded up. Besides, the r Kelly lyrics toasting would have been a big no no! |
dayokanu: Na women dey shift the goalpost as they wishBut they are correct because most 19-20yr old boys are very immature and cannot be relied on to take on serious responsibilities or respond to things in a mature way(too much testosterone). A 19 year old girl, even 17, will run circles around him emotionally. We are not talking about bravado or swag here. |
martyns303: 10yrs is like a generation gap, while a 35yr old man is thinking about growing in his career, a 25yr old girl is likely thinking about clubing, there wont be effective communication as their ideas and perception are different and the worst thing a man can do is be in a union with someone who do not share is objectives.Generally, females are more emotionally mature than men. You've actually got it the wrong way round. A 35yr old guy will probably will still be going clubbing and hanging out with his guys, while a 25yr old woman will probably be busy looking after home & kids or seriously looking to get married. |
nedu2000: This ''big belly" thing is a serious issue o,is it perculiar 2 nigerian women only?Abeg go sleep Jor! How big belly dey affect the down below, wickedest wine or foot on top shoulder? Nor be by flat belly or small waist o! Na that one I go chop? |
tpapi: If dos playing d instruments are actually members of the church den I think is crazy to pay demWhy shouldn't they get paid? Doesn't the pastor or general overseer get paid? Wouldn't it be more humane & charitable to pay these struggling people a salary so they can survive instead of lavishing the pastor with private jets, posh cars and other luxuries beyond the wildest dreams of the ordinary church member? |
Ehn?!!! So dem be tif? I nefa hear d song b4 o! But nor worry. Wein I go club next time, I go carri koboko follow bodi. Woe betide anybodi wein I catch dey dance d song. O Jesu! I go sotay koboko dia bodi eh! Mtchew! Nor carri mi play o! Na the Basher dey yarn so. ...Abi e get any oda ting wein u wan make i do, after all ur 'ard work analysing, deciphering and criticising the "alingo"? |
Archmed: while u stay there ranting, she's overseas enjoying life wit her luvly kids and husband..making money.Bet u dnt even have a job yet,and even if u do,and u're livin big,who da f**k are u to judge her?Which husband? Abeg make I hear word! Which country, city & area she dey? Those pics she put up (+ d 5yr old prada shades) are not doing her image any justice if she's trying to show that she's enjoying & making money. Her only claim to anything is that 2face nacked her and she had kids for him. If there was anything worth saying about her, it would have been said! And yes, any person that allows pictures of herself & kids to be put in the public domain should be prepared to face frank & harsh judgement! Is the purpose of this crass publicity exercise with the pictures not because she wants to put herself on the market again? |
Frank-C:I know rivers state very well & it is much larger than lagis state. Why spend all this money on ph when u still don"t have roads linking the islands to ph? What about the ring road project which would have made a more meaningful and visible impact? |
How woman Wein love to worship God just drop two pickin out of wedlock, just like that? Na so e easy to dey just born-born anyhow? There is nothing nice about that o! It smacks of extremely loose morals coupled with desperation! |
PapaBrowne: About Nigeria not being on the list, it is not so much the failure of Government as it is the failure of the people.Nor mind d yeye 9ja people! Instead of them to be innovative, Dem go dey use their tashere money dey import range rover and bombardier jet. Mumu people nor no say all their crass flexing Na heavy hammering for all these other countries! |
11/10 Jare! That is the African beauty ![]() |
~Bluetooth:Lol! E be like say one igbo girl wan take her obonge Pucci kill u with nyanshing for dream Wey make u shout like that! |
Arsenate: I'm going to have my children here in Naija and they'd surely have a good life. Most importantly, I'd teach them how to be proud of their identity so they don't run to another mans land and turn around and insult their home without shame. Y'all can Sceam all u like or publish whatever crap research, nothing's gonna change that.https://www.nairaland.com/1110573/soldiers-flog-abuja-university-students I'm sure you'll like this treatment on your kids? |
fili24: @ BasherThis the problem with some Nigerians, they think Lagos=Nigeria! Lagos is only one state in Nigeria for chrissakes. Besides, =N=1.2m Net pay (about £4.5k) is what some train drivers earn in the UK in a month. If your friend's mum was to be taxed correctly and had to pay correct rates and a living wage to all her domestic staff; how much would she be left with? |
Arsenate: I'm going to have my children here in Naija and they'd surely have a good life. Most importantly, I'd teach them how to be proud of their identity so they don't run to another mans land and turn around and insult their home without shame. Y'all can Sceam all u like or publish whatever crap research, nothing's gonna change that. And this is from a person whose screen name is "Arsenate"? Why not Eyimbanate or something like that? Same person will be rushing to watch champions league & EPL and spend thousands of naira on foreign jersey and wearing designer clothes from abroad. Rubbish! Make sure all those your children wear only adire o! They must also only use chewing stick and drink only pap as babies!! |
lekkie073: a lean freedom is better than a fat slavery.... nice one!Very correct. But if you were given the choice by the all mighty to choose what country you want to be born in, will you honestly say that you'll choose Nigeria? |
fili24: The best place to be born presently is either in Switzerland or the Scandinavian countriesYou hit the nail on the head there in the bolded. All you need to do is think about the "average Nigerian" and compare with the average citizen of those other countries. It's a very grim life for the average Nigerian, and I'm not talking about the 'average person living in Lagos' here. |
Arsenate: Why are our diasporan Brothers crying louder than the Home based Nigerians? Why don't y'all enjoy your slavery in whatever country u are..u guys are just one bitter bunch lmao...damnnn...slavery no good o.So you think "diasporan brothers (& sisters)" don't have a stake or say in Nigeria? I wonder why some people sit down and just type cra.p?! I don't have stats or figures to hand, but I'm sure by the time you do your research you'll find out that proceeds from diasporan "slavery" remitted back to Nigeria must rank very high in the list of foreign exchange earnings into Nigerian economy (behind crude oil). Haven't you ever asked yourself that (and this is probably a topic for another thread), apart from oil, what brings in money from abroad into the FG's coffers? I'm not talking about taxes, rates, duties etc which is earned from money which is already in the Nigerian economy that has already come from crude oil revenues. I mean, apart from oil & gas, what else does Nigeria sell to other countries that brings billions of dollars into the economy? |
salafiyy: GOD knows best where to place every individuals so, HE had choosen the best place (Nigeria) for you and I...I'm proud to be a Nigerian must especlly a MUSLIMIn that case, the almighty must really hate us by placing ibb, obj, ibori, t orji, gej, boko haram, Otokoto, aluu plank man..., the list is endless, in Nigeria. |
Ilekokonit: You need to go out more or research more and then you will find out that adultery in neither a Yoruba word nor a Yoruba phenomena. ALL TRIBES in Nigeria and ALL RACES of the world have people who commit adultery. Are you insinuating that anyone from outside the SW is from a village?? |
50calibre: All these foreign artists sef! The moment their career starts to dwindle, they begin running to Nigeria where they can feel relevant.Just enjoy it while it lasts Cuz it ain't gonna last for ever. The recession will pass (it always does), crude oil prices will fall & apala/highlife/Fuji/juju music will take over again. People then will find it hard to believe that there was once a time when international artists were pure water in Nigeria & local artists were rolling in Bentleys, Aston martins & range rovers! |
ehie: You think you are so funny, who says Akon is expired, have u heard his new song with Tony Montana "Hurt Somebody"? I guess you havent Grandpops, you are the expired cargo, dont think wearing face cap and tight t shirts makes u look young, you only look desperateChoi! That was brutal! But at least him try for the facing cap now?! What about the jeams & jeams? |
Delta igbo, anambra igbo, IMO igbo; all igbo Na igbo! If the name is igbo, looks igbo, speaks & understands igbo; then you are IGBO! I can imagine some people screaming "I'm midwest IGBO" or "Ibo not Igbo" while Murtala Mohammed went on his killing spree during the civil war(no offence meant). Did he listen? |
