chipmunkey: 400K at that time is almost equivallent to 40 million Naira today. So tell me who would`t be succesSful as an enterpreneur with that kind resources.I beg to differ sir. =N=400,000 in the late 70's was probably about the same amount in pounds. Factor in inflation, then you're probably talking about at least £800,000 in todays money which is almost a quarter billion Naira. Having said that, people have been known to blow that amount, and more, on disastrously foolish business ventures and even end up owing more. So you still gotsa give him kudos for his acumen. |
Abeg, where the application form7 I wan follow do that boy-boy work wey them dey wear Rolex, drive Bentley and fire plenti plenti Pu**y. Boy-boy my foot!! |
Why are you guys desperately trying to fan the dying embers of this Dbanj / Don jazzy issue? What kind of stupidity is this. This is August, for chrissakes, and you are still talking about this tripe? Things have moved on and these guys are already on to the next thing! I can bet my last dollar that THIS LETTER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DBANJ OR DON JAZZY. Desperate gossip peddlers ![]() |

I hope your head carries on shaking and refuses to stop! This is N A I R A L A N D not D O L L A R or P O U N D L A N D!! |
I was 15 and she was a baaaaadtt arse hooker ![]() |
jevic: I think it's time he went and see a shrink. His behaviour is becoming so nasty on a daily basis. Damn him.Abeg leave the boy jare! When I was his age I didn't have half the money he had but I did worse. Most of it is drug & alcohol fueled. We all grow out of it eventually. ![]() |
keemsleek: @ basher u want to knw y am not selling pure water after I graduatedGood for you! You do what you have to do because you have to. Other people will do the same (even if it means driving a truck as a degree holder), so leave them to it. Everyman to his own. If my relative has been looking for a job for 5years without any success and he decides to apply to be a truck driver, then good luck to him!! I do what I have to do where I do it. |
Jenams: pride or ₪O pride! Africa mentality or not! Show ♍ε wit proof, where in †ЂΞ world degrees r awarded in truck driving! Dnt reason wit Ūя̅ smelly anus braSmelly anus? You must have had your nose very close to my hairy black azz in order to judge if it were smelly or not? What a weird life to live, going around sticking you nose up the azzes of men! Does it turn you on or what?? Yuck!! You show me where Dangote asked for "degrees in truck driving"? If you can't read and digest a simple write up then what chance do you stand in this life? Ooops, I forgot you were the guy who has made up his mind to die in poverty. This is an extract from Dangote's website - "The scheme which will revolutionalize the road transport sub-sector of the economy is designed to improve the professionalism in the transport division of Dangote Industries Limited by engaging graduates and other educated Nigerians as drivers after months of training." I'll give you a couple of days to digest that little extract to see if you understand. Or do you need a week? |
Jenams: There r sometins a man shud nt allow in his life cos of his present situation. Bn poor or in lack will nt make ♍ε use my bsc τ̅o drive a truck! it is beta τ̅o die in poverty if our govt shud support dis! wtf!It is type of reasoning that keeps Africa lagging behind other continents. This our pride & fixation on prestige & titles is killing is. Most of these degrees being studied in Nigeria are worthless or questionable at best. So you'll rather these graduates run around robbing, duping & kidnapping instead of doing a honest job driving a truck? |
keemsleek: I really dnt like putting up any replies or reply on NL becos dYou should have listened to your heart and not posted a comment because your childlike reasoning (not to talk about your ridiculous text-speak) is bound to draw insult. Are you saying that having a degree precludes you from doing a dangerous night job? What about all those degree holders working daily on those flying coffins we call airlines? Is it because the airline job titles sound prestigious & glamorous? Or maybe Dangote should change the name to "Senior Mobility Facilitator" instead of truck driver? You asked why he doesn't ask his kids to drive trucks? The same reason why you are not selling pure water in between traffic. |
Guys, Dangote is probably asking for bsc/hnd/ond holders because he is looking for people of a certain calibre. If you believe that the job is beneath you then don't apply & don't preach about it being career suicide for degree holders; every person has a different destiny & being a truck driver or road sweeper wouldn't change it. Didn't that chrome oil guy drive for julius Berger back in the day? |
rol/ed:What's the point typing "BUH" instead of "BUT"?? They are both 3 characters long so you can't say you are using "BUH" to save time or space!! Please stop that already. Is very baaad inglish & I ave tire of pipul doin dis ![]() |
The more poisonous the comments; methinks the uglier & raggedy azz(ier) the commenter. |
From experience (clears throat) - SHE'S NOT OVER HER EX YET AND IS PROBABLY STILL IN CONTACT WITH HIM. It doesn't necessarily mean she's sleeping with him or that she doesn't love you. It's just that some people are genetically programmed to not letting go easily and there might be something, probably emotional, that he's providing for her. Pick a right time and create the right environment so that she can have the confidence to discuss this issue (without you flying off the handle in some macho way) so that you guys can thrash this thing out once and for all. It may be nothing or there could be a whole lot happening that you don't know about. Either way, once you've settled and have agreed to no more pictures etc, just put the whole thing behind. If anything similar happens again, you can then do as you wish. |
You guys are having a laugh!! Of course you know where to stick your Mickey mouse "degrees" which, 9 times out of 10, you have to come abroad to get a masters degree from a second rate uni to support it with before you can land a really decent job. In that case you better apply for the HGV training with Dangote, because if it’s done to international standards, it will be a transferable skill that you can use to hustle part-time when you come to do your masters degree abroad. HGV drivers in UK get around £1000 a week or more. I believe Dangote has good intentions (if such a programme actually exists) because he's under no obligation to spend all that money training drivers when he can get drivers cheaply off the street; it certainly will be an industry-changing game-raiser. So, instead of sitting down & waiting for that "oyel" job that may never materialize, you are better off going into the HGV training programme at least to see how a proper transport company is run. Who knows, it might be you advertising for HGV drivers in the future. ![]() |
shymmex: She's cute!!The same time nigerians started bearing names like Savage & Fernandez. ![]() |
kokoA: and another committee that will review the work of that comittee and report to a comittee of governors drawn from the affected statesAnd another committee to appraise the result that the review committee did on the initial committee. |
I'm shocked at the almost sympathetic posts I’m reading here! Posts like - "Na wa o! Poverty ehn...i cant blame them, they breed like pigs around that area" & "Poverty is a big disease indeed. But, what will N5,000 do for them?". If it were happening somewhere in the south east of south west, what we would have been reading here would have been - "yoruba/igbo people are very greedy and would do anything for money"; "yoruba/igbo people are very evil"; "worst tribe in the world" etc.. |
FSU: Spyder880,That name "Small London" is outdated. It was called that in the 60's & 70's (probably 80's), events have since overtaken things. Its similar to the "Garden City" tag of PortHarcourt. Nobody is making that claim now = case closed = END THIS THREAD!! |
seedord247: If you cant use your 36 then imma advice you to loan one.You are talking rubbish and you know it! You tell me the rate of fellas dropping out of high school to engage in kidnapping? Are they any more than the number of agberos and touts in the southwest? You tell me the rate of b*tches being exported to europe fromt the east? Anymore than the indegenes Benin, Ibadan or Lagos? Let's be honest here. You tell me who worship devil pass for Nigeria? Where be the headquarters of weed for Nigeria? |
CeaserB: I'm not being tribalistic, but only Yoruba Fans can do this.YOU ARE BEING TRIBALISTIC! ![]() |
Abeg leave that man wey you dey chook alone o, because wifey don vex. Abi, when we see bandage for your head you go talk say na fans too? See PR spin. ![]() |

Na me win!! Because, when you chop my BANANA you go know say OYATO. Winner oh oh oh winner, Winner oh oh oh Winner!! |
Instead of you guys to sympathize with the unfortunate family & ponder what would lead siblings to act in such a way, you are busy stupidly peddling tribalism. How does it help matters or improve the society we live in? All this tit for tat is pointless & futile because if you look hard enough you'll find atrocities from Igbos, Yorubas & other tribes. However, we all live in the same society and should put heads together yo solve societal problems. If I were president of Nigeria, acts of tribal hate would attract a mandatory 10yr prison sentence ![]() |
It'll interesting to see what happens if that one on top the cage relieves itself while there. |
Let's go there and support this guy. |
omenziate: But on a more serious note, don't think what afam said deserves to b overflogged, it's not everyday u get to see a Forbes list billionaire at an album lunch, not even 2face ,Dbanj or Psquare can boast of such feat. But some resident tribalists are like roaches looking for places to pollute, destroy and disorganize.Well, he wasn't singing that song for nothing. He backed it up with action. Meanwhile, some people are here trying to do some warped work-no-send type of defense for Davido when there was nothing to defend in the first place. Besides that, they can't back anything they say here up and then they have the guts to assume that "all nairalanders" are watching them? Deluded or what ![]() |
Rhino.5dm:You are like a kid. Very quick to resort to very childlish insults. Pathetic ape?! Is that what you could come up with? SMH. I hope you are not married, because you must be a nightmare to live with. Everyday will be a different pointless campaign against the poor suffering woman. Yes I know, its not your fault, you had terrible time growing up ...blah blah blah!! |
Danka7777: How could I be tired of these?Bros o! The second picture na rubber o! When u hit am, e no go jiggy-late for u. No bounce, no nothing. E go just dey gbim!! ![]() |
