@ Yemmyse & Damola, Damola: I can feel the spirit of Aluta Continua inside of you. I must tell you, what you see while in school isnt what you will see when u're out of it. What you experience while still in your father's house isnt what you experience when you're on your own. You really need to grow. Time will do this for you. So, go face your studies and ponder on what you will do when u become Governor or president to make Nigeria a better place. Pending that time, keep away from such tasking arguments!! , And dont call someone your father's age names. Yemmyse: You have really impressed me in that, while all of this arguments have been going on, you have kept your cool and refrained from throwing abuses back at damola. It shows you level of maturity and resilience. I am really impressed at your disposition thus far. Keep it up! |
Locking up shops isnt the solution. Anytime any part of the human body is going through PAIN, the other parts of the body are also affected to some degree. So closing the Whole thing is the right thing to do. Those who have paid will know how to worry those who havent, such that this kind of situation wont be repeated next time. The Government we have in Lagos today is one that has actually taken time to look at all avenues to resolving issues both amicably and with diplomacy or controversy. I still believe, our experience with military rule has so made us stiffnecked that except WE ARE DRVIVEN, WE DONT MOVE. Senario: The other day, I was going to my otta residence with the usual traffic at ojuo-ore with plenty lanes of vehicles, 'A traffic jam'. I was in this traffic for the next 30mins, because no-one was ready to wield to the other ( I too sabi syndrome). Of a sudden, this recruit/soldier just came from nowhere brandishing his gun and breaking side mirrors of vehicles that created the extra lane. In 1minute, everybody formed one single lane and traffic FLOWED. wE ARE IN A DEMOCRACY, TRUE!!, BUT WHY ARE WE OURSELVES ACTING AS IF WE ARE STILL IN THE MILITARY, WHERE WE HAVE TO BE FORCED TO DO THINGS, |

Please believe. AIDS IS REAL, AM DEAD SERIOUS, Efforts should be on deck to see to the total eradication of the menance, |
@ TEX-ASS-PETE You are the real BONEHEAD here. Look at your life and tell me what claims YOU have. It is better to be a spoke in a rolling Wheel than a be HUGE Wheel not rolling at all. If you dont believe in good things, at least dont discourage others. All I have said is that, if it were in an advanced country, government will at least give a listening ear, not ban him. If ur sorry-ass must know, the man's drugs were banned. So, how would he have gone to your villa, where there's a scourge of the dreaded disease to treat them. I have no affiliations with DR. Abalaka, but I appreciate an effort when I see one. Please, I am not here for flames, I just hate it when I see some little boy just of university with loose morale. It is because of your likes government is afraid to sign the FOI bill. It isnt signed yet and you're running your mouth (or your thots) like tap water already, what happens when it is signed?? My thanks to everone on this thread especially guys like HANNYDARL AND IURPE, i really feel your comments. |

PAPABom, The Gentleman's career was muted by Goverment that should have encouraged him. Abalaka is still alive and hearty, they have only succeeded in killing his dreams of been the discoverer of the vaccine to cure AIDS. The logic or scheme government plans to achieve, i am yet to grasp. Let us know what happened to all the challenges Abalaka gave them to allow him prove himself, |
Please check this link too. We have problems in this country, seriously. , And am disheartened, http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/features/living/2006/sept/02/living-02-09-2006-004.htm |
For some months now, it has been uneasy times for Dr. Jeremiah Abalaka who claimed to have discovered a cure for the dreaded disease, the Human Immuno Deficiency Sydrome. HIV/AIDS. Hitherto, HIV has defied physicians, scientists and researchers all over the world. The best medicine so far is the one discovered by American researchers which only tend to prolong the life of a carrier even though it does not remove the inevitability of premature death of the patient. Nigerians, nay the whole world, were caught unawares with the announcement by Dr Abalaka that he has found a cure to the dreaded disease. At first, many if not all including yours sincerely, had dismissed his claim with a wave of the hand. After all several persons including unorthodox doctors had made such claims. However, our minds started changing when Dr. Abalaka appeared on NTA Network Programme as well as the widely aired Radio Link of the Federal Radio Co-operation of Nigeria. He told all who cared to listen that he infact has found cure for HIV/AIDS and that he had treated over sixty Nigerians with the Immune Deficiency Sydrome and that they have recovered completely. As if this was not enough, he challenged the Federal Ministry of Health to send proven cases of persons suffering from the disease as a test of the veracity of his claims. In an effort to silence any doubting Thomases, he also stated that he was prepared to inject himself with life HIV Virus and at the same time treat himself with his vaccine. Some of us felt that he was pushing the matter too far but at least he wanted to stress a point. Ever since he made those claims, the Federal Ministry of Health has not responded to any of his demands. Instead the Minister of Health, Dr. Tim Menakaya was credited with the statement that Dr. Abalaka was fake. To buttress his point, a certain patient was paraded on Television who claimed to have gone to Abalaka without a cure. Dr. Abalaka denies all these. According to him, the said HIV/AIDS patient was fraudulently procured. He insists that the man was a ghost patient. For instance he challenged the said patient to produce his hospital card or quote his folder number to show that he was actually his (Abalakas) patient. His further demand that ten persons of proven HIV cases be sent to him for treatment has not been heeded by the Health Ministry officials. All these are against the backdrop of authoritative voices that the man Dr. Abalaka does infact have a cure for HIV/AIDS. For instance, one Dr. M. O. D Abonyi, the Medical Director of Express Hospital in Kubwa, Abuja stated recently in a National Daily that his patient tested negative after receiving Dr. Abalakas treatment. Equally of note is the admission by the Chief of Army Staff in another Newspaper that over thirty ECOMOG Soldiers who were HIV positive had been cured after receiving Dr. Abalakas Vaccine. It is as a result of the foregoing that the Nigeria Medical and Dental Council has invited Dr. Abalaka for investigation for professional misconduct. According to the council, Dr. Abalaka has breached their code of conduct in announcing that he has found a cure for HIV/AIDs through the media and thus constituting an advertisement. Technically, it is probable that Dr. Abalaka might have published his scientific finding through the Media. It is worthy of note that this is a disease that has defied solution worldwide. If it is actually true that Dr. Abalaka has found cure to HIV/AIDs, and there is nothing to the contrary, then the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council ought to really celebrate instead of trying to investigate him. Since there is no known cure in any other part of the world, Nigeria will no doubt be a Mecca of sorts for this disease that is threatening to annihilate humanity. Understandably, Dr. Abalaka has gone to court to stop his being investigated. Though wrong motives might be read in his going to court, but it must be seen in the light of a man fighting for his survival. He does not want his scientific breakthrough to be killed at the altar of protocol. Dr. Abalaka sees some of his colleagues as being jealous of his discovery. This should not be the case. The Nigerian Medical Profession should co-operate with Dr. Abalaka in sustaining his discovery. Moreover, it is to the credit of Nigeria in general and Nigerian Doctors in particular that one of their kind has found a cure to a disease that has defied solution all over the world. It is also submitted that the Federal Ministry of Health instead of treating Abalaka like a leper should really encourage him as they are all partners in progress. Instead of useful energy being wasted in the courts, the man should be encouraged to concentrate on his research findings. Dr. Abalaka might end up as the much-awaited messiah of HIV/AIDS. Who knows? It is even more curious that two weeks ago the Federal Government announced a blanket ban of all vaccine claiming to be cure for HIV including that of Dr. Abalaka. According to government statement, all those vaccines must wait until they are scientifically proved to be potent. But the question is how will their efficacy ever be established when government is treating these so-called claimants like lepers. Interestingly, Abalakas patients have demonstrated against government decision. Dr. Abalaka himself has gone back to the court to obtain an injunction against his purported ban. There is also a line of thinking that government decision was hasty. It is argued that government could have separated the wheat from the chaff. By so doing Government would have ensured that genuine effort is encouraged. This to me is still the best option available. Mr. Ortuanya, is an Abuja based Legal Practitioner. |
Can I have the configuration of your systems and know if you want to sell as a whole piece or can consider selling the various part separately. I like to get the photos too. I am interested in the VSAT Equipment if there is and the systems. thanks reach me on ayocatty@yahoo.com |
I remember, There was this Doctor ABALAKA way back who claimed he had the cures to AIDS. The man was plowed down by the then Minister for health and the fed ministry of health. I know well that if this man had made the discovery abroad, his thesis would have recieved acclaim and respect. I remember when a Nigerian medical practitioner made advancement in the cure of the sickle cell anaemia while abroad, the white guys kept following about. They even followed him to Nigeria to bury his parent. I also remember MKO hosting him and IBB sending emmissaries. The same value was given to Emeagwali Phillips when he made his discoveries. But when you see a HOME-BASED Nigerian like ABALAKA making claims, we throw them out into the dustbin like a piece of rubbish (Super-TED). My submission is that the solution to AIDS is with us even before now but we dont see it. |
Nice one there, At least with a blog and regular content, you should be getting residual income using the various Ad Networks like Adsense, Bidvertiser and Kontera. There are actually two methods to online money making, you could use other sites, acting as their representives, its called 'Affiliates',. In a sense, Google adsense and other ad networks are all affiliate programs because you are working for them to get paid. The other method will be for you to sell your business online yourself. In the poster's case, he's involved on the latter. The good thing is you can employ both methods to your advantage. |
Chairman, thanks for the Info. what am asking for is the cost for certification at a prometric center here in Naija, cost for training, and the closest VUE center to take the CERT. Thanks all the Same. Poster, I am waiting for your response, with the Job I will get for 70k USD here in Naija too. |
Nice one, Please get back to me on this. You can PM me. |
Why dont you just tell us where to get the Certification and the cost. Its a lot more better than asking people to get to call to know of who have the certification. This is a public forum and you can sell your wares for free or at a cost. Domt keep us hanging. I want to Certify too. |
I think you need to provide us a link to some of your works. This will let us know , you know what you're talking about. If I know your level of expertise, maybe I can come under your tutelage, otherwise, you have to come learn from me. Whats the cost of this Solution??. |
This browser thing. why isnt there a common platform or regulation to ensure that the sites all look the same. If you use a crazy browser on my site it works fine, the problem I keep having is with mozilla. I am begining to fall inlove with CB. |
worst thread I've seen in ages, |
Yawa why now, ? |
The first reply is too hilarious. |
Ladies and Gentle men, Can we have a rousing Welcome and Applause ( atewo rabata) for the Newest president of the United States and indeed the entire world. Our own African Blood Brother, Barack Obama. I want us to make suggestions on how to go about making his Celebration Song, who is going to sing it, should it be an all artistes for Obama or should it be by a single artist. If there are song writers in the house abeg, lets quickly compose our song and get it out ASAP, I know alot of artistes are gonna come out but we need a special ''AFRICA FOR OBAMA'' song. |
Everyone on Nairaland, follow me in celebrating and welcoming to the stage, our brother, father, uncle and friend. President Barack Obama. Today we have seen History. I pray we Learn from this for our own country. Dont forget, History always repeats itself. Good History will always be savoured and remembered with Joy. @ Poster, I like your topic. It actually means you dream very BIG. ![]() Ricky, thanks for shedding light and encouraging the guy. I think a topic of this nature should be well flogged by the experts in the house, instead its the poster that's getting the canes. I run a linux based webserver in my office, it runs 24/7 by 365 non stop, not even NEPA can shut it down, my email server (everybodysname@mydomainname.com) runs on it too, however I am yet to run a CMS to manage content like yahoo does. With what you plan, I can assure you that it is possible. Like Rediif, you can have you own public email server solution but dont name it yahoo. Pick you own unique name. You will need databank with plenty servers and dataspace and 24/7/365 power backup and seamless internet service with backup support, you will also need programmers inhouse, you will need content managers, data entry guys and some more, you can do it if you really put your mind to it. Kudos for thinking in that line. Reach me to show you a demo of the Linux box I use here. |
My round2, Gbagada @Yawa, Mama, dont always think blowing some big grams will deter me from hitting nail on target. What I sayin is that be proactive than reactive to issues. See the way our darlin Uspry responds to issues on ground, it aint only just because she's moderator. There are a whole lot of people who get discouraged simply by being critical of them or their works. If you agree to KG methodologies, then you have to knock everyone your tackle on NL with kids gloves and 'no hard punches'. Yawa, I am serious about this. I look mainly in the Webmaster and Technology section on NL, other sections are rarely and I enjoy the things I see, and I have noticed you and your style too during these period. I really cant do anythin about it but can you please soften alittle on those of us less priviledged. |
Mention 4 major topic areas it talks about and I will authoritativley tell you whether its a good book or not. What is your experience level in fores trading and did you write the book yourself or do the review before putting it out for sale, If you want to learn more, checkout www.myinternetwealth.biz |
I cannot but give it to this damsel called Yawatide, she never gets boxed into a corner. it just dont happen. Since you have refused to show us your works, Can You ask Seun to open a special thread for you to moderate on and see how we can benefit from your wealth of expo. The thread will open us up to how to go about Web solution. What you know and how you know it is not the same as what I know or how I know it. There are a thousand ways to hang a dog, the end result is what is important. If you wont teach us your ways, then dont critisize our results. The thread will open us to other web solutions outside development and design (these two alone dont sell an online business). Yawa, Let us learn from you as we do uspry!! |

, Auntie Yawa, all these Experiences you talk about . To prove me wrong, NL really would like to see your works.Sam Milla, You are right about Yawa, she's always in the way. She attacks you hard enough (like kokonut on your head, Gboga!!) then when someone complains, she says she's not critisizing; only giving from her wealth of experience. There are a whole lot of people out there who know these things. Pls dont discourage those of us who dont know, , Really Yawa, just like Sam, I have noticed your style of criticism, you need to be more constructive and proactive when u do them, Everyone is here to learn a thing or two, not get discouraged. Or are you just trying to live up to your name, My African Facebook guy, no wahala, keepup the good work, you are better than one who has never tried, I wish you the best, more grease to your elbow. |
punchonthewebweb has been in existence far before punchng came up, I really believe, I have known punchontheweb way back as the official url for the newspaper house. Let's not debate that now. I would like the issue digressed a little to the Hackers. In my view, they have done well, infact very well. They have shown what vurnerability means. Their actions have gone to wake us all up. If as a web developer, you think you know, well now you need to know more because someone is just around the corner to mess up your work. In my view, I think we need more of things like this, it will bring out the very best in the country's IT brains. These guys have only come out to tell Nigerian developers and site owners to do more as regards their security. I am sure our banks will not compromise whatever is needed to secure their networks the more and so apllies for all other mission critical establishments. Kudos to you guys. It was because you created viruses, thats why we have antiviruses today. the more you create problems for the industry, the more the industry is able to seatup and develop stronger solutions to your problems, ![]() |
Responders, una bad, didnt even allow the poor guy to land, MP, of all topics, You really have a way with your thouhgts, or else why would link Naija Man with Terrorism, aint smart man, Reason I believe u really remain on YA OWN! ![]() |
MP, Dont mind them all, We really are on Your own, !! |
@ fellybabe, Your joke really tells how u guys mess things up for us while trying to impress you guys, Nice one dearie, |
