I think it's a slang for "getting high on weed and cheap liquor". At least judging from
the way it's popularly used in the suburbs like A.J, Amukoko, Orile and rest.
Politics › Re: Governor Bukola Saraki Vs Governor Raji Fashola Who Wins? by baslone: 11:37am On May 08, 2009
Jarus:
Bukola and baby politics in the same sentence?
Did you know that:
-After Obasanjo himself, Bukola was the second strongest supporter(installer) of Yar'adua presidency?
-He led the delegation to Katsina to convince Yar'Adua?
-He rallied other governors(Ibori,Odili, Attah etc) to leave the scene for Yar'adua?
-He is the most powerful Governor today?
-He is the most influential PDP politician/power broker today?
-Did you follow the last PDP convention? He decided who got what. Told this to step down for that. Kwara govt house in Abuja turned into 'decision' house.
-. . .and he's perhaps the most refined PDP politician in Nigeria today.

These may not be good politics, but definitely not baby politics. You may other word.
More reason why Ex-governor Ibori a had to run to him FOR SHELTER when he was avoiding the fire of the then EFCC!!!

springtime:
where you have even non lagosians in his cabinet. Also when u compare the complexity of lagos state, you will know that a man who has effectively able to administer lagos state will be the most qualified to lead Nigeria.
I mentioned that this is the only beef they have against his person.

rman:
If you have lived in Ilorin before the 80's through 90's, you will completely agree with me that the state capital had withnessed more infastrutural development, more than any other regime in recent times. Through Fashola, Lagos has been turned into one big construction site.

Lagos is smaller with more people and huge IGR(Internally generated revenue), Kwara has fewer people with way smaller IGR. But based on what these two has acheived it is a shame that anyone will bad mouth either, because compared to anyother governor in the fedration they are the best.

The system that produced Bukola may not be perfect, but he has shown he is more in tune in what needs to be done.
You'll only realise this when you have stayed that long in Kwara. I mean what more can you
expect from a man already written off because of the sins of a father.

farochron:
Are you sure Bukola's people (PDP) will not make his tenure a hell like what they have just done to Ekiti state. It is better you have An AC Fashola and any other Governor from same AC or other party. PDP still retain that acronym Peoples Destructive Party.
Forget, this idiots will never give AC a chance unless there is a revolution.

follypimpi:
Well is Bukola Saraki still giving out Free Eba and stew to those old ladies on Friday huh? I schooled in Uni-Ilorin,05 and witnessed this. grin grin grin grin grin
Well, you probably didn't stay long enough to realize Bukola is different from Bukky. Answer to
your question- I guess Olushola will keep doing that till death. It's the way of the old school God-fathers. Ask Adedibu.

farochron:
You can only compare Oyinlola and Fashola, there and then I will tell u Bukky is better
Oyinlola ke!!! shocked

Most projects in that place are only Federal projects just like Oyo state(though Oyinlola will get the job done).
But meanwhile watch out, that man is going to be the back bone of PDP some few years away from now.

Talking about accounting for a failed bank's money, y'all finding it
hard to differentiate between Bukola and Olusola. I spent my university
life in ilorin, went back there two years later and I felt like a stranger.

A lot of people don't like him because I heard it's only the state capital that has
changed that much without giving consideration to other towns(Ajase, Offa, etc).
I don't know how far this is true but in ilorin my eyes saw what I didn't see in my
whole six years in that town.

I think props should be given to the two of them. 98% of the governor's in our country
use their allocations contracting out boreholes and pasting useless 5 page adverts on
our dailies. Go to Oyo State(with their party freak, bling bling wearing governor) and Edo come back
and tell me what they have achieved in over 10 years.

Not withstanding, A lot of this nations problems are being determined by the Governor's Forum
headed by Bukky. More reason why even if Yar'adua spends 16years there, no ex-governor's(thieves)
case will ever come to an end(adjournment and others)}.

Bukky definitely has a say. Those crazy power brokers will never give AC a say.

They'll rather let Nigeria crash!!!!

I had a large collection of CD's way back in the university. I used
to buy like 3/4 copies of any particular album because my peeps were
used to borrowing and not returning or stealing them. When I was finally
leaving and I was sharing out my CD's, I realized that I had 2particular
artiste nobody even bothered to take or steal.

MASTER P and MODE9.

I still have 3copies of the mode9 till date.-tear rubber.

Personally, there is nothing interesting about him.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Man United (5) Vs Tottenham Hotspur (2) On Sat 25th April by baslone: 9:21am On Apr 26, 2009
Harry Redknapp and his assistants protested furiously that the
penalty that let Manchester United back into the game should never have been given.

The Tottenham Hotspur manager and his assistant, Joe Jordan,
were seen remonstrating with the referee Howard Webb in the
tunnel at full-time, arguing that Heurelho Gomes had reached the
ball when felling Michael Carrick from Wayne Rooney's searching
pass. "He's got a hand on the ball – it was a terrible decision," Redknapp
fumed. "It was a gift that United didn't deserve and it put them back
in the game. Without that bit of help from the ref, I don't think United
would have come back. If [Webb's] the best referee in the country, I
wouldn't like to see the worst one. Once again, we've been the victims
of a poor decision that has changed the course of a game."

Replays suggested that Webb's eyesight was anything but poor. In real time
the goalkeeper appeared to have been harshly penalised, yet slow motion showed
Carrick reaching the ball first and getting a touch to take it away from Gomes before
being brought down. All the same, Sir Alex Ferguson conceded United had been lucky.

"I think we might have been a bit fortunate with the penalty, but football
is funny that way," he said. "We got a break today, but at Wembley last week
we were denied a penalty. We had been too casual in the first half. We played
into Spurs' hands and deserved to be behind, but once we got the first goal we
were electric. Carlos Tevez was responsible for the extra energy in the second
half, but Wayne Rooney was fantastic. The energy and drive the boy's got is amazing."
