@bami. Man, there are good pastors and there are bad pastors. But never forget that they are the same as me and you - they are men. Never be afraid to stand up for what you believe in. |
people responded sayin all sorts of tins about what they heared or read in storybooks, but yet refuse to produce sources.LOL. Isn't that what you've done bro? Read the word Lucifer once in a book and thought "Oh shit. Dats gotta be true den!!!". OK. Here's a list of links to sites on the internet that will prove to you that we were telling the truth and you're believing in a mere misinterpretation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucifer http://www.demonbuster.com/lucifer.html http://www.apostolic.net/biblicalstudies/isaiah1412.htm http://www.lds-mormon.com/lucifer.shtml http://jesuschristsonofgodsavior..com/2008/01/satan-is-not-actually-lucifer.html http://www.s8int.com/lucifer.html I could give you a thousand more links but you may as well Google yourself. |
In one Yahoozee I stand. But what is actually wrong with fleecing foreigners who fleeeced our ancestors? So if someone stole a goat from your grandfather, it is OK for you to steal from his grandchildren fifty years later? And what if the goat you steal doesn't belong to his grand children but to his next door-neighbour? Justifying 419 as revenge for colonialism is pathetic. People like you are all that is wrong with Nigeria today. |
You asked if anything good has come out of the UK. I showed you that there obviously has when you take a look. It was asked if there were any huge UK companies. BP is the 4th largest company in the world. What does 1st to 3rd have to do with anything? Being 4th means that BP is a tiny company? What has England not qualifying for a soccer tournament got to do with anything? Please. Try to at least make some sense. |
In a country where so many are starving, he is an asshole for giving it to her and she is an asshole for taking it. |
The concensus amongst theologians is that the Hebrews had "olive" skin tone. They were neither black nor white. To the poster who says that there was no inter-marriage because it was forbidden - You are wrong. There are many instances in the Bible where the early Hebrews (by the command of their god) pillaged and destroyed cities, murdered all the men and took the women away to be their wives. Over a few generations, this would also have affected skin tone. The Hebrews were not a race. They were a religion. |
The internet. Also be aware that it is estimated that the UK has produced about half of all modern inventions. Penicillin, television, jet engines, computers, trains, stainless steel, cement, soccer, the list is endless. BP (British Petroleum) is in fact the 4th largest company in the world!!! |
Okay, who picks the candidate that run for presidential election within the parties in the US? I await your answer. The candidates put their names forward and are then voted for by the public. And if a candidate does not want to stand as either a Republican or a Democrat, he can stand as an Independent. How does that compare with Iran where the clerics say who can run? Richy. Have a think before you start writing. You're making statements yet showing you know absolutely nothing about the subject. |
Iran is the largest democracy in the Middle East? Man, don't make me laugh so hard. Just because they get to vote doesn't mean they're a democracy. The clerics hand-pick the candidates and you can't vote for anyone not already pre-approved by them. So yeahm you can vote, but you have to vote for our man. There's about as much democracy in Iran as in Saudi Arabia. |
Alexman. Personally, I don't put much stock in bio-fuels or oil. The West is dabbling in bio-fuels and finding them neither resourceful/environmentally friendly or particularly cheap. And the problem with oil is that it is limited. Nuclear energy is tried and tested and countries like the UK are actually building new stations and saying that it is the power of the future when only a few years ago their opinions were different. Respectfully, you're running before walking with your questions. No doubt they are all issues that cannot be dealt with by Nigeria in the present time. But it will be at least a decade before those issues will need to be addressed. By then, the know-how and technology will have moved on and hopefully there will be satisfactory answers. |
Why is it futile? I'm writing in English aren't I? I haven't argued using any contradictions. I haven't edited any of my words. They're there for all to see. Tell me. What is your problem with the deal? Is it purely because it's coming from Iran and that Iran is a pariah to the US? It's already been shown that many, many nations do business with Iran. Are you saying that because the US has black-listed Iran, Nigeria shouldn't deal with it? Are you saying that Nigeria should bow and scrape away just because the US doesn't like Iran? I've read many of your posts where you state that Nigeria should stand on it's own two feet, yet when a chance comes, you're saying that advocates of a deal are "anti-West". Make your mind up my friend. You can't have it both ways. ![]() |
I agree. Tottally appawling. ![]() |
@ Kobojunkie. Well, if you don't accept my word that I'm not anti-West, I guess there's no point arguing it. You believe what you want, my friend, but my statement still stands. As for not getting anything out of it? I haven't stated that. Read through my posts again. I've stated that Nigeria may not gain from Iran (either directly or indirectly). I've also stated that it may get something from the other players in the nuclear scene because of this deal. Granted, the word "may" denotes possibilities on either side. But then it isn't the same as "won't". ![]() |
So you are simply anti-WESt and desperate to link this to the WEST at all cost. No. Definitely not anti-West. Just a realist who thinks that Nigeria should go for the best deal it can get.And as I've already stated: the West was already involved the second that Iran made the offer. I should also clarify. Although Nigeria may not make anything from the Iranian side of the deal, it is possible that it will make it from the other players. |
@Kobojunkie. No contradiction. My claim is that the Iranaians are probably making the offer to rile the West. Nigeria gaining from the West would merely be something that happens on the sideline. Yes, the West will be involved whatever. This is nuclear power we're talking about here. The West sees itself as the appointed policeman regarding this energy source. Or do you honestly think that Nigeria could just go ahead and build a nuclear power station without Western help or involvement and rely solely on Iran? Honestly, I think you're reading too much into the fact that it is Iran which has made this offer - the Great Enemy of the US and Freedom. It deals internationally with many Western countries. Granted this is nuclear know-how but you can guarantee that Nigeria won't be just jumping in head first without looking at how this affects it's relations with the West. You say it's not the way to do business? Morally I might agree with you, but when have morals ever played a part in business? As for it being a "worthless deal"? As we don't even know the specifics of the offer yet, I'd say that is too early to tell. @bawomolo. I would say that the offer is serious but also made more to grab the West's attention. |
@bawomolo If it's an offer that does not cost Nigeria then it can only be a good one can it not? In all probability it will not lead to Nigeria obtaining nuclear energy from Iran. But it may kickstart Western interest in supplying know how and technological help. Again, that is not aid. It is merely the way the business world works. |
What is with this perceived need to cut off our own heads so the WEST can notice us? Are we insane? What next? Should we sign an oil deal with Zimbabwe so the WEST can give us more AID?It's not AID and it's not a desire to be noticed on Nigeria's part. It's good old fashioned business. You don't turn down a good offer if you can make something out of it. Sure, Iran is not the most popular of countries but business is business. Look at the recent UK offer for oil security. Do you think that would have come cheap? Nigeria would have paid a hefty price. Would that have been relying on Western aid? Or (as is far more likely) would it have resulted in Nigeria getting screwed? I don't believe this deal with Iran is going to weaken Nigeria's standing with the West. Unless things go crazy with the North, the West knows that Nigeria is a partner not an enemy. |
Yar'Adua would be an idiot to turn down the Iranian offer. With the energy crisis in Nigeria as it is, he now has a bargaining chip to secure help from the West on better terms for Nigeria. |
^^^ Lucifer was probably an asshole but being an asshole doesn't make you Satan!!! ![]() |
LOL @ Yisraylite. A Jew denigrating the Christian God and trying to justify his own. Yaweh, YWVH or whatever you want to call him has no more credibility than Jesus wuth the examples you give. Pointing to 20 or so examples of figures similar to Jesus is plain stupid when one can point to hundreds of gods similar to the tribal storm god "Yaweh". Historically and theologically, you're on very shaky ground, my friend. ![]() |
The reason it is making news is not religious sentiment. In fact Nigeria is not the issue here. The country Iran could be offering help to could be Chad, Cameroon or any other African nation. The offer is only made because Iran knows that it will cause friction throughout the rest of the world and shows that it cannot be told what to do. Any practical nuclear help to Nigeria will take decades to appear. Iran itself is an amateur at nuclear physics and can't really offer anything to Nigeria at the moment. This is Iran playing at politics. Nothing more. As for the US? Any anger will be directed at Iran. Not at Nigeria. |
Satan and Lucifer are not the same. Satan = The Devil - Force of Evil. Lucifer = Babylonian Prince - Man The fact that we think Lucifer is Satan is down to a misinterpretation when the Bible was translated into Latin (the Vulgate Bible) by a scholar named Jerome. The mistake was later compounded by an English poet named Milton in his book "Paradise Lost" where he constantly refers to Lucifer as the Devil. From there, the whole thing snowballed and the mistake was never rectified. The Isiaiah passage refers to a prince of Babylon whose hold over the Jews was crumbling. The Jews were enslaved by the Babylonians and the author of Isiaiah was merely stating that what goes around comes around. |
Slavery is fine as long as it's black doing it to black. Or black doing it to white. Did you know that there were black slavemasters in ancient times? The UK was run by black African Romans who enslaved the British population in their own country. One could even say that what goes around comes around. Of course, in the rush to condemn Whitey, Africans overlook their own failings. Failings that are still going on to this day. At least Whitey doesn't keep slaves any more. The same can't be said of Africans. Remember the Africans who were enslaved and bow your head for them. But feel hate about it and yearn for a needless revenge and you're a slave yourself. MandingoII. Your problem is that you live in the past. There aren't 39 million "Africans" in the US. There are 39 million black "Americans". It's a huge distinction. They are no more African than you are Polish. |
Outlaw. If brains were dynamite you wouldn't have enough to blow your dumb wig off. Fact: Obama is where he is now because of white people. Fact: If Obama makes president it will be because of white people. Fact: Obama can be nothing and would have been nothing without the support of white people. Your racism shows you to be the ignorant fool that you are. You tell others that they are a disgrace to blacks, yet if others were like you, your behaviour would make the black man look like a monkey swinging in a tree, flinging shit with his hands at passers-by. Grow up and get real. |
They are not digital like you and I know it. Chinese net users are banned by their government from many sites. Internet use is also strictly monitored. The title of the article is misleading. You can't have self expression if you can only see half the story. And you can't have self expression if the secret police are going to come and knock on your door if you write the wrong thing. As for their education being amongst the best in the world? Maybe it's true that those who get an education are high in the world rankings. But what about the many millions who don't receive an education at all? The US has a literacy ranking of 12. China is way down the list of literacy rates at number 81. http://hdrstats.undp.org/indicators/3.html Still not as bad as Nigeria though. |
She is in jail. She was jailed for abondoning her children. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,326758,00.html And here is her photo: https://www.weneedtostop.com/Shannell%20Mosley.jpg |
Islam is no more a religion of peace than Judaism. For perhaps 15 years at the most when Mohammed was in Mecca it could be described as non-confrontational, but once he fled to Medina it became a tribal religion with a jealous, violent god. Reading the Q'ran is all well and good but without the history of how it was written, the book is worthless - the follower is just following words on a page blindly. The Bible is no different - if you don't know how, why, who by and where it was written, the words inside are also mostly meaningless. Don't kid yourselves with these claims that Islam is peaceful. It's one of the biggest fallacies in the world, created by apologists with blind, liberal agendas. I've lost count how many times a Muslim or a Jew has killed in the name of his religion (in the past Christians were probably even bigger culprits). Until mankind realises that religions are not set in stone and that they must follow a forward path, protestations of innocence are fallacious. That's not to say that Islam cannot be a religion of peace in the future. But it must adapt and grow. At the moment it seems to be doing neither - at best stagnating at worst regressing. Far better to stop saying that Islam is a religion of peace and to instead show it. ![]() |
No wonder Nigeria's reputation is going down the drain internationally when it's representatives make such stupid statements. What about victims of Romance scams - because they fall in love do they deserve to go to jail? What about victims of Charity scams - because they send money to help orphans do they deserve to go to jail? What about victims of Lottery scams - because they believe they have won a lottery do they deserve to go to jail? What about Employment scams - because they believe they're earning money from a real job do they deserve to go to jail? And what about the victim of the basic money transfer scam? The vast majority of letters tell the victim that the sender is in a refugee camp, is being hunted by armed men, has had their family killed, is suffering from cancer, all sorts of tragic lies and that they need help - does the victim who falls for this deserve to go to jail? The last time I checked, being stupid and having your money stolen was not a crime. If that were the case, every Nigerian would be in jail for living in a country where they allow their politicians to steal their money on a daily basis. |
