After this, people would come talking crap that the protests are peaceful. Attacking the army is declaring war, but hey! Let the stup!dity continue! Stup!dity is the new democratic right. |
Pukkah:It doesn't matter that much in the context of what I said. @topic Lagosians that are stone-headed enough to gather in places like Ojota are playing with their lives; people keep talking crap about "peaceful protests" when govt websites are being hacked (including that of the Nigerian Army). Hacking govt websites is the same as declaring war, and when you add that to some of the treasonable actions that NLC is strongly dissociating themselves from, you have a tinderbox. A total state of emergency might yet be declared in Lagos. |
You people talk too much. you wanna see A and call it B, just for something to talk about. Even NLC made it quite clear that they called off their strike due to security issues, they did not stop there but have been making it abundantly clear that they are not part of any protests for regime change. Anybody who is arguing that the Lagos riots and protests were not sinister is a liar. I fail to see tanks in Kaduna, Kano, Ilorin, Ibadan and other places where there were protests. There is solid reason for soldiers in Lagos, and good reason for Fashola's summoning to Aso Rock as well; it is noteworthy that no other governor has been summoned in that way. Pay the price for what you bought and lets move on. |
Lets hope Bakare's arse is fried real good. He deserves a life sentence. |
The Labour Movement once again reiterateWeak like a dead battery. |
It will eventually get to 141, and thats fine. All we want is good governance and money for development going where it should, not into the pockets of a few phucked up cabal thieves. |
He should be jailed for life. |
Who? Dangote? Please provide a link to this info. |
alj harem:What jobs do you think your LG chairman and state governor should be doing? Watching TV? There is no reason why the 36 states should be dependent on the FG in a federal system. This is why I called you a parasite earlier, you are happy with the status quo of dependency. |
engineerd:I don't recall mentioning ethnicity on this thread. |
ebonino:If I were you, I would leave the area. |
engineerd:Dude, moving govt is almoslt like moving tectonic plates, especially in a country as complex as ours. EFCC has already been ordered to investigate the fuel subsidy fraudsters. |
alj harem:This is the typical response of a parasite. You want the best things in life without a drop of sweat, you are happy for mega corruption to continue, so long as your N65 wages for slavery is maintained. Even when you want to buy a car, you accept the pain, deprive yourself, save up and finally buy it. Your type is not needed in a Nigeria thats in a hurry to develop. |
engineerd:How many Presidents before him "admitted" there was a cabal? Most Nigerians I know would have quietly sat at the table with their evil straws to suck us dry. If as you say, you knew about the cabals and you also aknowledge the fact that GEJ "admitted" to their existence, why then are you fighting him? It doesn't make sense to any unbiased observer. many would conclude that there must be a hidden motive. |
engineerd:If GEJ had not told you about the cabals, would you have known about them? It seems like whatever the man does, people are ready to hang him for some ulterior motive or the other. I don't think you can even begin to fathom the courage it has taken to pull the rug from underneath the cabal. Its hard to understand how people can fight somebody that is helping them. |
^ Because he built a private refinery in Sierria Leone with Nigeria's money or what? Ignorance is a disease. ![]() igbonla:Exactly! The way people have acted, it was like some of them were riding popular protest to violently overthrow the govt, and now that govt has reacted like they would to a coup attempt, they are shedding crocodile tears. We all know that Nigeria has very deep problems, but problems cannot be solved by formenting anarchy; especially when a govt comes out with a policy that is aimed squarely at endinding stratospheric levels of corruption. When we are ready to demonstrate for true federalism, against the NASS members ridiculous wages etc, then someone ring my doorbell. |
oyb:Ojota is coming. |
The taste of failure is sour. ![]() |
gaddafe:NLC is part of the game the govt trying to get rid off. Who do you think sabotages the refineries? Its not evil spirits, its workers who have been paid from on high and are part of an evil web. It is best to look toward people like Keyamo, Agbakoba, Hajia Najisatu Mohammad, col Umar etc to ensure delivery of the palliatives. Real people of proven integrity. |
stagger:Labour does not have that sort of integrity, they are part of the system and some of its sections are an integral part of the subsidy cabal. Your suggestion calls for a body run by people like Keyamo, Agbakoba, Hajia Najatu Muhammed etc (I'd love to add Fashola, but he's a governor). I hope that group of people can come together under a single fearless body that can lead demonstrations and represent the interests of the common man in a transparent, no nonsense, intelligent way. |
Imagine carrying out a "revolution" over the cost of fuel when there are far more weighty issues concerning our national structure? It was always going to hit the rocks at some point, and its hit the rocks very badly indeed. Any movement that is not backed by an enduring philosophy is bound to fail. What is the philosophy of #Occupy? Is it N65 per litre fuel? Is that what is hoped will develop the country and cater for generations yet unborn? Bloody laughable! Nigeria cannot be directed by those who have only just gleefully welcomed the presence of their first couple of pubic hairs. You do not have all power and understanding, cos you have twitter and facebook accounts. You've got to have a grounding in how the World meshes together first; in fact, all that #Occupy has achieved with their infuriating ignorance/dishonesty is moving the nation to the brink of fullscale ethnic warfare. |
bayooooooo:Did you create the soil those things grow in? Is the soil a result of the sweat of the people of your region or is it a naturally occuring blessing like oil? I hope the answers to the questions above act as straighteners. Your argument is absolutely illogical. |
alj harem:You are a dunce beyond ordinary proportions. I and other wise people warned you and your pack of #Occupy fools that your direction was a direct threat to SE/SS people, but you pressed on; even taking pictures of your miserable friends as proof of demonstrations in places where there were none. I have always said it that ND people will act before they speak, you have seen it today; and that is why your ethnically bigotted ciivilian coup attempt has ended up in your face. You've been told to shut and sit down, and you will. Keep on flying around like a mental disease, I'm sure any dissidents who were involved deeply enough will soon learn a thing or two. |
^ You really sound incoherent. . . .By the way, "every knee shall bow." |
^ You sound incoherent and full of wind. Wiser people who are not blinded by ethnic bigotry would observe that skilled operators have moved the country forward by quantum leaps since January 1st. I wouldn't let you in on what traps have been set and sprung and what beasts have been ensnared. Observe, learn and be awe struck; the only downside is that it will take you some time, cos you are as slow as the coming of Judgement Day. |
koruji:Did you know about the cabal before GEJ's govt mentioned it? It is id!otic statements like your posts above that make people rightly conclude that many of you are driven by ethnic bigotry. Its like talking simply because there is a mouth on your face. |
This will hopefully crack criminals like Tinubu. Now the peoples anger can be channelled in meaningful ways that are positive to the growth of the country. |
FG orders EFCC to probe subsidy payments on fuel Monday, 16 January 2012 00:00 HORATIUS EGUA & JOSHUA BASSEY The Federal Government has ordered a probe into the payment of subsidy monies on petrol and kerosene. Consequently, Dieziani Allison-Madueke, minister of petroleum resources on January 13, 2012 formally wrote Ibrahim Lamorde, acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the payments, for better accountability and transparency. Allison-Madueke, in a statement made available to State House correspondents, said the probe was approved by President Goodluck Jonathan to meet the demands of the Nigerian people. She added: “With presidential approval, I have written to invite the EFCC to immediately review all payments made in respect of subsidies on PMS and kerosene, and take all necessary steps to prosecute any incidence of malfeasance, fraud, over-inviocing and related illegalities, in an open and transparent manner”. She further said: “I have set up a unit within my office to be headed by an independent auditor, to review the KPMG and other audit reports on the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and other parastatals and immediately begin implementation of their findings, ensuring at all times, full probity and value for money”. Also, the minister said: “I am en-panelling another unit in my office to begin a comprehensive review of the management controls within all parastatals in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, including but not limited to NNPC, PPPRA, and DPR”. “Accordingly, I expect a report in 30 days, to enable us take further action in reforming management, personnel and other practices and procedures in parastatals within the ministry. It should be noted however that this process has already begun in PPPRA and DPR, where management changes and reform are beginning to yield desirable results”. She assured Nigerians of government’s commitment in ensuring “full probity and accountability in the oil and gas industry” stressing that haven “spent the last 18 months painstakingly reviewing its operations and designing a vision for the future, it is now time to deliver”. The minister also stressed her determination to work with the leadership of the National Assembly to ensure “the quick passage of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) so that we can anchor the comprehensive reform of the oil industry”. http://www.businessdayonline.com/NG/index.php/news/76-hot-topic/31907-fg-orders-efcc-to-probe-subsidy-payments-on-fuel |
I will advise the good people to avoid Ojota. NLC suspended their strike because of serious concerns bordering on treason. Be wise. |
Everyone knows that Dokubo Asari is an influential ACN chieftain. He is most known for have imported boyz into the Ekiti fracas and chased those from other parties away. An ACN strong man indeed! Fast forward to 2011, he and his boyz first of all #occupied Port harcourt in defiance of the ACN sponsored hell fest in Lagos and in support of GEJ's highly progressive subsidy removal policy. Then on learning of the treasonable actions being plotted in ACN's fascist, bigotry coated war rooms, his boyz moved into place and #Occupied oil wells in their villages in what was a purely peaceful protest. But never in the history of Nigeria has such a peaceful protest carried such a bonechilling message, and ACN's lil nuts immediately shrivelled and fell off. The import of his protest action was not lost on his ACN bosses and their #Occupy plans for Ojota immediately fizzled out in a puff of weak smoke. A real jab in the eye! Damn! Now, will ACN have the liver to expel Asari, or is he much bigger than the party? |
I want to #Occupy Nigeria later on today. Ojota rally forever! Is anybody coming? ![]() |
I believe GEJ should consolidate things by arranging for a Middle Belt, SE and SS alliance that would see an Igbo man as the next President; except he runs again. In any event, it should always be Middle Belt, SE and SS in tight alliance forever. |
