avicky: Haba! Na only u like better thing?Iroko is a strong man indeed and a real performer. I think he might join PDP, though. @topic If politics in Nigeria was clean, Edo would most likely go to ANPP in the next elections. I really admire intelligence and delivery. Oshiomole has done well so far as a governor, he should learn to cut off the theatrics, though (fake assassinations etc). I wish my Edo bruvs and sis's the very best. |
This is the real subsidy fraud report, not the fuckry Farouk and his clowns paraded to us (only for dollars to be stuffed in caps). It has many names the Farouk report omitted. |
Gbawe: Look, spare us your 'story telling' and revisionism. You are only fooling simpletons who cannot think for themselves. It will only end in tears for your messiah who happens to be Shagari on steroids.Gbawe the paid agent and boko haram apologist. We already know what you think strength is, and it turns out to be disgusting adoration of boko harams evil tactics and adulation for those ethnic groups you call the "owners of Nigeria": Gbawe:https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-837167.0.html#msg9883217 Shame on you! ![]() |
VoodooDoll: Oil revenue is a source of fx and is what the lazy govt and its Psycophants are dependent on.There is no point insulting people, because the truth is too bitter for you to swallow. Leave that for motor park touts and area boys. When the rebasing of the economy has been done (which you seem to think will make farmers richer), then you might have the opportunity of ecstatic farmers sharing their bountiful largess with you. I imagine it will be a great day indeed! Lol! |
^ If you don't know what I mean by growth engine, it would make sense to ask rather than talking blind. No? Economics and development are not areas that can be driven by gut feeling or emotion. |
hercules07: @GbaweOf course, you have experience as El Rufais's paid agent. Tell us more about how you bribe taking sleaze gays operate. Lol! ![]()

Katsumoto: The money from Agriculture is in the pockets of the millions of small scale farmers. It is a lot of money but when you consider the millions that are dependent on its revenue, it falls short. Having said that, this debate is about GDP and not about standard of living or government budgeting.Ya! Those small scale farmers can barely feed themselves, most cannot even afford to send their kids to school. Take away oil and they wouldn't have any roads to ferry their produce to market on etc. Life would quickly attain a stone age aura. |
Katsumoto: At the risk of sounding redundant, government spending is one of the components used in calculating GDP, if using the expenditure method. It is not the only method. It accounts for 95% of our growth engine. Nigerians produce absolutely nothing. Katsumoto: That is an extreme case but I guess a more realistic country example would be Kenya. There are many African countries without Oil and many of them are doing better than Somalia. Somalia's problem is more political than economic. With Nigeria, having arguably the most resourceful and intelligent, I am sure it WILL not turn to Somalia. It will only turn to Somalia, if it experiences a cataclysmic political explosion.Kenya has a much more diversified economy than Nigeria. Financial services and telecomms provide 62% of their GDP and their well on their way up the developmental ladder, pioneering several high tech solutions (eg mobile commerce). Nigeria on the other hand gets 40% of GDP from oil, 80% of Government earnings (from which LG's, states, ministries etc are paid - salaries and allocations) and 95% of foreign exchange comes from oil. It is a sorry economy indeed; a very primitive state of affairs. If oil dries up tomorrow, there will be immediate cannibalism, war, armed robbery like never before seen, local warlords will take over; in fact Somalia would seem like Eldorado. The only solution is to argue and demonstrate vigorously for true federalism and the severing of the Abuja umbilical cord. That alone is what can stop us going the Somalia route. We only have about 10 years left to get that done. If we fail? Mayhem and hell. ![]() |
Rewind... Beaf: Gbawe! Gbawe! Our old daddy who doesn't know his age and feels no shame! |
lateef4me: Let's even imagine Senate impeaches Jonathan and Sambo takes over, how is he any different from GEJ ? Sometimes I think the hatred of GEJ has to do with his tribe ......Truth 101. Ask Gbawe, the ethnic bigot what his real problem is. ![]() |
Katsumoto: Nigerians have a strong sense of survival; many are surviving on the barest minimum. Oil mostly funds the ostentatious lifestyles of the rich and the wannabees. If oil disappears, ostentatious lifestyles will mostly disappear but Nigerians will continue to survive. They survived without it for centuries and will survive after its gone. The people that should be worried about oil are those who have numerous girlfriends, houses, cars, foreign bank accounts, etc.If oil disappears, Nigeria will simply crumble into the new Somalia. Yes, people survived for centuries before oil, many by chasing wild animals on foot, fighting with tigers and climbing trees to harvest palmnuts etc. Those were the days when you simply threw away your twins (instead of bothering with extra mouths) and trekked from Lagos to Sokoto to sell crocodiles and salt (as a wealthy business person). It surely was great time with a life expectancy of maybe 25 years. Nigeria has not grown technologically since those days and oil is our life support system. Take it away, and its back to Tarzan time. ![]() |
Plz, delete the garbage on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/982526/why-senate-should-impeach-gej/3#11341511
Let it remain right there, coward. Or should I say, Tinubu/Aregbesola's paid agent? |
nwanna89: Good the administration has been very revealing. However, it doesnt stop at that. They need to act more. Bring the people to justice. We get a lot of revelations, but little action....Lol! So the very people that are being saved will form the lynch mob? Remember the fuel subsidy riots? We argued stringently on NL that the rot was too deep for any alternative action, but the outright cessation of the system; that the mafia behind it is too deeply entrenched, too rich and too powerful to be taken on frontally. But Nigerians never listened and preferred to follow alj haram instead. What was the result? We got Farouk and a cap full of dollars. Nigerians still haven't learnt, they still are not fearful of the mafia that can confidently take on a billionaire like Otedola without flinching. The best way to deal with corruption in Nigeria is to block the loopholes, because Nigerians will not support your fight; infact thts when you'll hear, "oh, he wants to deal with Yoruba's," "he hates Igbo's," "he wants deal with Muslims in the country" etc. When enough loopholes have been blocked, things will naturally reach a point where justice demands itself. |
kodewrita: Considering the fact that Sanusi wasnt there in 2002, why put his picture here? You have a point, but the pic and title are from the original article that I quoted. |
J12: Oil funds the budget, oil is our life, we cannot live without oil, the suffering will be unbearable.Simple fact of life. ![]() |
noiseless: The worst shame infact should be on those screaming and shouting, that a president aided or used someone to expose another man who was trusted to expose criminals in the land. Why on eart should anyone open his/her mouth to condemn any action that led to exposing these your "lawmakers" if those political desperados are not themselves worse than MALAM FAROUK? And by the way, did GEJ force or jujued MALAM FAROUK to take the bribe? If you want to criticise anyone do so constructively and not for the sake of it, orderwise you expose yourselves as the worst MALAM FAROUKS or HELL RUFIRES of this world. I wish all of those criminals equally exposed with whatever "tactics" that was used on the DWARF CRIMINAL MALAM.They are only doing what they ar paid to do. Ask Gbawe. |
Genius100: Chief, I believe the above refers to the contributors to GROWTH in GDP. So essentially, if the GDP grew by 7%, the above is referring to the contributors for the 7% growth.Tell am, jare! Its strange the way people just throw up things they do not understand. It is better to watch and learn. |
Pataki: Please provide a post wherein he has glorified boko haram or any of the names you have aforementioned?!Lol! Let the man defend himself na! Right from the outset, you contributed exactly zero to the thread. All you have done is haul insults like a mentally malformed mongrel. Well, its what you are paid to do. I see you've offered no defence for the fact that you are a paid goon. Paid agent, you have been id'd, in case you missed it: |
shymmex: First time I had to agree with Dede1.I'm sure your village is the toilet part. |
jmaine: You support GEJ, they call you a paid agent . . .You castigate GEJ, your automatically a hero, an unbiased, objective and intelligent poster who surprisingly isn't a paid agentI believe that the id!ots that go around screaming "paid agent" are only trying to cover up their mental deficiencies. Just take a look at Superior1's profile to see how idiocy is practiced, there is not a single intelligent comment in sight (its peppered with "paid agent," "laptop" stuff). You've got to feel sorry for somebody with his intellectual predicament: https://www.nairaland.com/superior1/posts |
tunnytox: The problem is even if Jona is impeached the vultures at NASS will still be there, let's not deceive ourselves until the whole of this present political elite are wiped out Nigeria cannot move forward because they are all fighting for their interest alone. However, in a proper setting if truly Jona is not corrupt himself and if he's sincere and brave enough I believe he may have a presidential power (not sure though) to dissolve this corrupt and useless NASS and conduct a proper free and fair election to elect a new NASS.GEJ does not have such powers, otherwise he would most likely have used them long ago. |
Gbawe:Gbawe! Gbawe! Our old daddy who doesn't know his age and feels no shame! ![]() Wetin pesin no go see for NL! Of course, having been intelectually destroyed, you've now forgotten the topic and have been frantically logging in with different ID's to perfectly play the part of an id!ot. Well done, sir! You are now NL's oldest official clown! Pop sontin! All hail fools! ![]() Kpuho! My broda, come let me cook yam and beans in your empty head. At least lets make it useful. Olodo! "Sikira! Bring pepper, crayfish and di big knife jare!" Kpuho! Kpuho!! https://starcasm.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/oprah_laughing_animated_gif.gif |
Pataki: Same question I have been pondering about when it comes to President Retardeen.I can see why you are quite a fool now at 60. Especially with a progenitor like the late Alhaji Pataki Retardeen. Please accept your well deserved certificate with humility and joy: https://starcasm.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/oprah_laughing_animated_gif.gif |
Quite clearly, Robert Igbinedion is a shameless self serving crook. |
Eziachi: It seems that your pen always ran out of ink each time you are doing the criminal census before you get to the gate of Aso Rock? Where Jonathan is presiding over the most corrupt, inept, deceitful government in the history of Nigeria corrupt record breaking governments.Old man, what has this got to do with Dino Melaye? Why would you engage me, a person who is fit to be your grandchild in a war of words? Why would an old man like you repeatedly tell lies? I don't understand. Please respect your age and keep to the topic. Thank you. |
