@honeric01
The pack of fools that feels I'm too intelligent for them to cope with is growing. Lolzzz!
Every thread becomes an avenue for them to freely express their mental impairments by going personal.

What a bunch of losers!
All hail fools! grin grin grin

Simple as ABC. cool

uzomagic: Melaye's rant is totally understood. Coming from somebody who lost in his bid to be a part of the government. But looking at the substance of his assertion, it is obvious that the agony of his separation from the corridors of power have left him a bitter, deranged and confused man. While I concede that criticising the current administration has become the favorite pastime losers who cannot get power thru the ballot but suggesting the President's impeachment amounts to a new level of absurdity.
It gets him on the front pages and on TV. As GEJ says, badmouthing govt is big business.
There would be absolutely nothing wrong with badmouthing, if the person doing actually proffered superior solutions (or just any solution at all), sadly the badmouthers are simply rabble rousing loudmouths 99.99% of the time.
All they want is a piece of the pie. Dino Melaye's crazed rant is a sure sign that the man is broke and in need of a handout from whoever or wherever.

I'm sure all you fools simply retort "paid agents," because you are neither intelligent enough, nor have the morals to contribute to any topic without being logically discombobulated.
You come across as unwashed animals, NURTW types who assault our refined intellects with your crass stup!dity and contort Nairaland into a fools paradise.

Contribute with intelligence or shut the phuck up. angry

This is the same Dino Melaye dancing outside at the news of Farouks problems.
Now he is involved in twisting the truth too. What a clown!

This is just another silly shot at cheap publicity. Was it not the same Dino Melaye who danced in public at the news of Farouks misfortunes?
Why then is he suddenly changing tune?

Personally, I'm sick and tired of the shipwreck called the House of Rep and all its inhabitants, from Farouk to Dino Melaye. They are all criminals with consciences for sale to the highest bidder.

Please, can you clowns stop reducing this forum to a place where you constantly express foolisness? There is a topic to attend to, deal with it, and simply leave me out of your NURTW style crap; I'm above you and above such. Thank you.

VolvoS60: ^^^If I didn't know you better, Beaf, I would have taken the bait. but i'm not biting. grin
Cut out the patronising attitude.
You don't know me, just as I don't know you, bruv.

VolvoS60: Pronouns are often used when referring to nations. The Russians often refer to "Mother Russia". Nigerians and Germans refer to "the fatherland". Is that sexist?

The personal pronoun "she" is also used to refer to inanimate objects (products of superior craftsmanship) like yachts, ships, automobiles etc. Is that sexist too?

Beaf, your "gender neutrality" arguement is a sideshow, a distraction. The real issue here is whether your principal can take the "credit" for "recommending" the appointment of Justice Aloma Mukhtar as CJN. And from the look of things, he cannot.
If you do not see gender neutrality as a fundamental issue, then you are missing a really massive viewpoint. Our society is primitive, that is why we can accept such.
Again, the primitive nature of our society is due to the lack of thoroughness in even the smallest things; I cannot imagine any other country, but Nigeria having a constitution that refers to the occupant of a post as "he," instead a gender neutral term. The only countries where such might be acceptable are truly primitive places; the likes of Saudi Arabia where women are not allowed to drive or vote; Swaziland, where all brea'sts belong to King Mswati etc.
A constitution is a country's blueprint, its DNA.

As for whether GEJ can take the credit for putting a woman forward, there is little anybody can do about it. All counter arguments have been k-legged, wobbly, easily killed, buried, torpedoed, marooned and destroyed; empty sentiment is no alternative. Its been done, dusted and marked as a historical moment invoked by GEJ. cool

VolvoS60: ^^^Beaf,

Come on!

You are having a laugh. I can see you want to argue today. . .

It is one thing to argue about the very serious problems we have with the Nigerian constitution (at least I agree with you on this point - that document bequeathed by a clique of usurping brasshats is deeply flawed). It is another thing to argue about the failure to use 'gender neutral' pronouns in the same document. I assure you that the second argument diminishes the first.
Guy, when people fail the most obvious tests, what do you think will happen with more technical areas? It is a highly significant error for a law document not to be gender neutral, in fact, it casts the entire Nigerian system as primitive and intellectually woebegun (any surprises when you look at our society and state of development embarassed). It is a very serious and shameful issue (deliberate or not).

Those buffoons that huddled together to generate such crap evidently never had women in their minds as equal to men, talkless of possessing the slightest modicum of sophistication and sense of propriety. That hints at a massive raft of other issues; some of which we are witnessing, while others are laying in wait like primed bombs.

That constituition is the root of all our problems, it is at the root of the chaos that riddles our society. You cannot build a solid structure on a foundation of sand. In many other ways than being sexist, our constitution is simply a stup!d collection of words that are accelerating our decent into the abyss.

Mofo, the topic is about the CBN amd NNPC running secret accounts from 2002(and likely, before), if all you can see are some id!otic phantom angles, then you've got real and bloody deep problems.
Why do we have to deal with so many fools on NL for goodness sake?! Its become like a plague now!

My sister, you are too young to have a hating heart. Give praise where it is due (hail GEJ, ma), and come across in arguments like someone who is high minded; afterall, law (which you claim to be studying) is for high minds.

VolvoS60: Beaf,

undecided

You can't be serious about the constitution excluding women from being appointed as CJN, simply because of the word 'he' used in the relevant section.
The use of the word, "he" in the constitution is patently sexist and an insult to all women and girls.
It only goes to show that the constitution was produced by unwashed Neanderthals and belly crawlers. As the standard for a country, our constitution falls well short, that word "he," in a document that should be gender nuetral, only points to much deeper issues elsewhere (and they are legion).
We are better off ripping the phucking thing to pieces and burning every last piece; it isn't even fit enough to wrap suya with.

doublecross: what the hell do you take europe to be? heaven? o hell no. look at this guy, be frank with yourself....does he look 21?
He might not look 21, but that is his age. It is impossible to do that fake age rubbish in Europe, you cannot even do it in most parts of Africa.
I don't blame you for misunderstanding, though, cos Nigeria is an unbelievably lawless place. You have to spend a few years outside the country to appreciate what I'm saying.

“The report of the committee which is a fact finding committee will be studied and given to relevant agencies of government but it will not prosecute or take legal action against the person or persons indicted by the report,”
Bro, it should be quite clear to you that "it" highlighted above is ambiguous, since the quote was taken out of context. The highlighted "it" certainly does not refer to the EFCC which has already been publicly mandated to prosecute all subsidy fraudsters.

Stop being mischievious.

oiseworld: winsh kind one be dis again ? Secret account for who? By who? To who?

This Gej administration has been very revealing. All these secret things have been on for so long but they are been covered up. Now that we are getting to know, people like buhari would start shouting " this govt is the most corrupt" trying to score cheap points.

More revelations pls.
My broda, na so we see am o!
Many murky dealings of the past are now being revealed. God alone knows why anybody would have been running our oil proceeds through a secret account.
What makes this matter most fearful is that both the CBN and NNPC are vigourously disowning it, there must be something really deep and dark crawling about under the covers.

Who knows how many other secret bank accounts there are littering the place? embarassed
