Beaf:Abagworo, come and defend your lying words na! Is this how you run away after telling lies? |

Abagworo:You are lying. I challenge you to provide the exact places where I made the claims that are bolded (the second should be on this page). If you can't do that, then you are a cheap lier. John Togo is a known armed robber. |
^ You are forgetting that N Korea has psychotic leaders with nuclear toys. No country, no matter how bright arsed its army and president are, will dare attack N Korea, lest select portions of Asia become nuclear wastelands. The best that can happen is for S Korea to begin test firing nuclear weapons and some pretty serious missiles. S Korea builds some of its own nuclear reactors and is not far from a weapon if it wants one. |
^ Fool. @topic John Togo will soon be caught, he and his fake MEND are deeply unpopular in the ND. Nobody recognises him as fighting for anything, unlike in the past when communities actively protected MEND members. John Togo is a notorious armed robber who will soon either be in jail or a shallow grave. |
Did I hear someone say that both Atiku and his wife are wanted for money laundering in the US? ![]() Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who wants a wanted president? |
Speaking to journalists at the camp in Obubra as Batch 9 of the ex-militants resumed training, the ex-militants said top politicians in the Niger Delta region are responsible for the spate of violence to achieve their selfish goals.I hope the ex-militants are reporting those politicians to the security agencies. It seems inconceivable that they didn't give names to the press, what is likely is that the pressmen are too scared to publish names. In the past, Tribune has published IBB and Buhari, so they've set themselves apart in that regard. |
Politicians Behind Recent Violence Ernest Chinwo 21 November 2010 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Calabar — Ex-militants undergoing non-violence transformational training at the Obubra Post Amnesty Camp in Cross River State have disassociated themselves from recent spate of attacks in the Niger Delta by MEND and few other groups. Speaking to journalists at the camp in Obubra as Batch 9 of the ex-militants resumed training, the ex-militants said top politicians in the Niger Delta region are responsible for the spate of violence to achieve their selfish goals. According to the ex-militants, "What is going on is criminality and top politicians and political office holders are behind it because they have been talking to some of us. "Before we arrived here early last week to start this training, the government of Bayelsa State through some agents approached some boys selling the idea of recruiting us to fight for them in the coming 2011 election. But since we embraced amnesty we cannot go back to be hunted like animals by soldiers" George Silva, an ex-militant from Ogunboss Camp, Bayelsa State said he has leant to make peace in his community and to have respect for constituted authority. According to him, "It is not everybody that is saying, I am a militant that is a militant. Militancy is not criminality. Some people are criminals and tagging themselves militants. I cannot see any reason why you say you are fighting for a cause and at the same time, they say you should drop arms and get what you want and you say no; and you keep on doing those things you are not supposed to do. What are you fighting for? What is the freedom about? Those are criminals". "Anybody that would allow himself be used by a politician for anything to cause trouble here or outside, I see that person as a foolish person. You have been rehabilitated. You have what it takes. If a politician can wear a Marks and Spencers shirt, you too with the help of this thing can wear it so what is the use of a politician asking you to use your shirt to fight. Why not him using his own. So I don't see any means that someone will use to convince you to go and fight for him when you also have money. We are also big men by the grace of God". He said some politicians are bent on seeing that the Post-Amnesty programme does not succeed so that they would have people they would use to advance their selfish interests. Another ex-militant, Tony Patrick from Boyloaf group in Delta State, who said he was a storekeeper of arms, also said "I love the programme. I have learnt a lot. I will tell any politician who comes to me now to go away. I am free. My advice is that according to what information given to us is that if you go back to your bad acts, you will be killed. That is the law. So advise other boys to stay calm and achieve what they came for. "No boy that has passed through here will go out and do anything bad. I cannot go back to my old life. I can never be violent anymore. Let the politicians go and use their children. We are not doing anything for them again. Everything is going smoothly inside the camp here". 24-years old Innocent Ayakwo Okoro from River State said he was combatant soldier in the Camp but that since the amnesty programme, "I have had free movement in town. I can express my freedom of expression and my rights and I commend the programme so much. "As I leave here, I am going to teach other people what I have e learnt from here which is non-violence. With what I have learnt here, there would be no violence. Through this process that the Federal Government has started with the youth of the Niger Delta, I think there would be no violence anymore in Nigeria, not even Niger Delta. Because when at least 1000 people pass through this training, at least one person can reach out to 1000 and the chain effect goes on like that then the rate of crime would be less in this country not only in the Niger Delta". http://allafrica.com/stories/201011220004.html |
^ That will never happen. We lived through the cold war which was a tense nuclear standoff that lasted decades. All nuclear weapons do is assure that holding countries never get attacked. Even with the exceptional boneheadness of the North Koreans, if South Korea had the bomb, they never test their patience so visibly. This is a "we've got it and you don't scenario!" |
degzy:. . .And their teachers were too daft to tell them that when you step up voltage, current drops; so, no energy is created (in line with the laws of nature). The foolish teachers probably think that increasing voltage means increasing energy. |

. . .Lets guess; North Korea will again deny this attack like they denied sinking the South Korean submarine earlier this year. Its the land of crazies! They even have a person as president. https://www.monthlyjoongang.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/North-Korean-leader-Kim-Jong-Il1.jpg |
Instant view - North Korea artillery hits South Korea island SEOUL | Tue Nov 23, 2010 8:09am GMT SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea on Tuesday fired dozens of artillery shells at a South Korean island, setting buildings on fire and prompting a return of fire by the South, Seoul's military and media reports said. Following are initial reactions from North Korean experts and market analysts. MARK PERVAN, SENIOR COMMODITIES ANALYST AT ANZ IN MELBOURNE "This is a trigger for the 'risk off' button. You'll certainly see selling in risk-based markets like equities and commodities until we get a better read on events. "There should be reasonable support for gold although we often see a firmer dollar as the initial reaction to risk and lower gold prices, but industrial metals might get hit. Oil too." HWANG KEUM-DAN, MARKET ANALYST, SAMSUNG SECURITIES "The stock market will inevitably open lower as today's act of aggression is unlike others that have taken towards South Korea. The fact that a residential area was fired upon, potentially injuring civilians, is alarming. "However, I do not necessarily think this will prompt a lasting market decline. The market will do poorly in the short-term, given the gravity of this issue -- this is worse than missile firing but less serious than nuclear testing. The main KOSPI index's 60-day moving average, around 1,870, will probably be maintained." PARK YOUNG-HO, DR, KOREA INSTITUTE FOR NATIONAL UNIFICATION "Although I can't be certain of the rationale behind North Korea's attacks yet, I see it as North Korea's intention to turn this region into a conflict zone so that it can bring the concerned parties to the discussion table. "By showing that it has nuclear capacity and by firing artillery shells today, I think it is trying to make a point that it is militarily capable and thus should not be lightly regarded. Ultimately, I think it is strategically seeking to tilt talks concerning the contested Northern Limit Line and the peace treaty towards its advantage." ZHU FENG, PROFESSOR, PEKING UNIVERSITY "It's unbelievable. Today's news proves that North Korea, under unprovoked conditions, shot these South Korean island. "It's reckless provocation. They want to make a big bang and force the negotiations back into their favour. It's the oldest trick. "From the Chinese perspective, they'll be aware of how this North Korean escalation will go. If it's North Korea's responsibility, Beijing will condemn the act, as one that is against peace and stability." ^ With due respect sir, that is a load of tosh. Are you the journalist that wrote the article in question? ![]() |
Jason and Harem simply don't know what is going on. Imagine suggesting that we vote for people (some of whom aren't even presidential candidates) or whose parties can't even carry their LG's! |
ChinenyeN: Abagworo:Both you guys are mixing up the meaning of endorsement. It is very simply giving public approval or recommendation; in other words, it is simply the act of offering advice on a candidate or party. |
Abagworo:What part of their constitution says they cannot endorse candidates, whether IBB or GEJ? If there is no such entry, then you guys are simply expiring steam and there are no grounds to argue that Ohaneze has done anything wrong. Does any part of the Ohaneze constitution say that they act as an Igbo lobby? If so, we might need to clear ourselves on what exactly lobbyists do. Does any part of the Ohaneze constitution make it a body that offers the best advice to those who voluntarily sit underneath its umbrella? If so, let those who accept Onaneze's advice go undisturbed. |
Aside from the carton of bullets and pistol, the importers have no case to answer. |
hackney:Magnetic flux is as a result of motion. No? Flux doesn't exist on its own (that would be a miracle of sorts). It might be motion of the magnets themselves or from motion of electrons. daroz:All dat one na shakara!! ![]() Nobody will leave PDP for any non-starting party. Who be fool? In the Nigerian context, as long as the President remains in PDP, almost every politician would gravitate toward PDP. Such is the might of Nigeria's incredibly powerful Presidency. So Bukola can now go back to the name his was born with? No more "Abubakar!!!!" ![]() Damn funny! |
. . .Therefore, Ciroma's arrangements are illegal and will be thrown out. |
INEC cautions PDP on consensus By Festus Owete November 22, 2010 03:28AM As the month-long search for a consensus candidate among the four Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirants from the north ends today, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has warned that it will not accept any candidate that emerges through undemocratic arrangements within political parties. Regina Omo-Agege, INEC Acting Director, Political Party Monitoring and Liaison, said at the Monitoring Training Workshop for the Commission's staff in Abuja, that any consensus arrangement that fails to garner the support of all the aspirants involved would be deemed illegal and unconstitutional. A final screening of the contending northern candidates will be conducted by the Northern Political Leaders Forum (NPLF) in Abuja today and it is expected to last the whole day. The aspirants facing the Forum are former military president, Ibrahim Babangida; former vice president, Abubakar Atiku; governor of Kwara State, Bukola Saraki and a former National Security Adviser, Aliyu Gusau. "A situation where we have one hundred and only two voices agree is not consensus. It is illegal. It is undemocratic. We are not going to take that negative consensus," Ms Omo-Agege said. "If the party says consensus can be allowed, let them bring out all those contesting for the position. As long as one person is complaining, (there is) no consensus." The INEC official urged political parties to shun any arrangement that did not conform to the constitution as well as laid down democratic processes. "If the constitution says two-third majority, then you go by two-third majority. But if the word consensus is used, it has nothing to do with two-third majority. It is agreement by all," she said. The Northern Political Leaders Forum is determined that the north presents a sole candidate to face President Goodluck Jonathan and other aspirants during the primaries of the PDP, which may come up either late December or sometime in January. The Forum, chaired by a former finance minister, Adamu Ciroma recently concluded a tour of the 19 northern states during which it met with traditional rulers and leaders of faith-based organizations and eminent northerners to solicit their support for the consensus project. The committee is expected to announce the outcome of their efforts on Tuesday. Apprehensive aspirants Investigation reveals that the campaign organizations of the presidential candidates have become apprehensive ahead of the announcement of the panel's choice. Although they have been campaigning across the country and placing adverts in the mass media, the candidates and their campaign handlers are also said to have been cautious in the manner they have embarked on some of these projects. For instance, it was learnt that one of the aspirants has directed his campaign handlers to reduce the number of newspaper advertorial until the Ciroma committee announces its choice. Similarly, one of the aspirants suspended the opening of campaign offices in some states until the consensus candidate is named. This, according to sources, is to check the funds being sunk into the presidential project. The camps of Messrs Babangida and Saraki are also said to be jittery over reports that the committee has shut out the two aspirants, who are from the north central zone, thereby narrowing the search to Messrs Atiku and Gusau who are from Adamawa State in the north east, and Zamfara State in the northwest geo-political zones. Mr Ciroma has denied the report. But as a way of exhibiting its confidence that Mr Atiku will pick the consensus ticket, his campaign organization last weekend organize a two-day retreat. But the former vice president's media adviser, Garba Shehu explained that it was meant to take stock of the campaign so far. In a telephone interview at the weekend, Mr Shehu said that despite criticisms, his principal is sure to win because of his nationwide acceptance. His counterpart in the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Campaign Organisation (ABS), Garba Mohammed Deen, thinks otherwise. "We're optimistic," he said in a telephone chat. Kassim Afegbua, who speaks for the Ibrahim Babangida Campaign Organisation, also believes that the consensus ticket will go to the former military president. "We are confident that we are getting the ticket because IBB is not only a household name in the country, his legacies are found everywhere. He is not an unknown quantity," he said. Ben Obi, a former senator and director-general of the Aliyu Gusau Campaign Organisation would not speak when he was reached, but Mr Gusau has repeatedly said he will respect the decision of the committee. Long journey The search for a consensus candidate among the four presidential hopefuls to confront Mr Jonathan began on September 17 when the directors-general of their campaign organizations met in Abuja. Those who met were Raymond Dokpesi of Ibrahim Babangida Campaign Organisation; Chris Mammah of Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organisation; Ben Obi of Aliyu Gusau Campaign Organisation and Ibrahim Yakubu Lame, then of Bukola Saraki Campaign Organisation. At the end of the meeting, they issued a statement, saying that they had resolved to work together towards presenting a common candidate during the PDP primaries and in the 2011 presidential polls. They also set up an eight-member committee to deliberate and advise on the matter. http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/News/Metro/Politics/5645109-146/inec_cautions_pdp_on_consensus_.csp |
