The Nigerian reality ensures that good men are buried. As Bob Marley say's "every time time I plant the seed, he says kill them before they grow".
PDP is satans spurn, if Fashola defects, it will only be because he was always Tinubu bearing another name; if however, he stands and fights, a god would be born.
It is time for Lagosians and Fashola to prove the fibre they are made of.

So that the cabal can get by the gun, what Aondoakaa has been unable to achieve by thuggery? huh
Better for the South and Middle Belt to form strategies to battle the sharia states (which are also the home states of the cabal).

Do you agree with me that if your likes and MEND demand accountability from these thieving governors and employ some of your criminal techniques such as kidnaping and blowing up some of the governors' assets, your people in the Niger Delta would be better off? A simple yes or no would suffice.

Your smiley and hausa/fulani comment on the last post is silly. olodo tribalist wannabe.
Another very simple sentence will negate all your non-points above; "The FG owns all oil bearing ND land"

So it seems many "well educated" people are now supporting militancy in the Niger Delta as the best way to tackle Nigeria's problems.
Interesting, I'll keep myself updated on this one
Lets pray that the militancy in the Niger Delta does not develop into a full blooded army. . . The way Nigeria is going, that might happen some day, there is more than enough spilt blood and money to fund such far end action.

The FG does not own the land in your village, because they want the milk from your cattle, do they?
The FG does not pollute your air and soil with impunity, do they?
The FG's soldiers do not ra'pe your daughters, sisters, mothers and grandmothers who have simply gone out to fetch water that the FG would not provide, do they?
The FG is not hanging your peaceful leaders like they did Ken Saro Wiwa and 8 others, they aren't burning your village to ashes like they did Odi, are they?
Your village folk have not have their life expectancy shortened by 20 years, have they?
Of course, acid rain never falls in your village, neither does your drinking water have a sleak on it and taste of crude, does it?

Some Nigerians are heartless, thats why we say wicked things.

Foreign Affairs › South African Minister's Wife On Cocaine Charges by Beaf(op): 3:33am On Jan 31, 2010
South African minister's wife on cocaine charges
The wife of South Africa's intelligence minister has appeared in court accused of recruiting female 'mules' to smuggle cocaine into the country.

By Jane Flanagan in Cape Town
Published: 3:25PM GMT 30 Jan 2010
Sheryl Cwele: South African minister's wife on cocaine charges

Sheryl Cwele, herself a high ranking local government official, will remain in custody until a bail application in several weeks time.

The 50-year-old faces charges alongside a Nigerian man relating to procuring two women to smuggle drugs from Turkey and South America.

One of the women, who claims she was directly recruited by Cwele, will appear as the state's main witness, prosecutors said.

The opposition Democratic Alliance has demanded that the arrested woman's husband, State Security Minister Siyabonga Cwele, be brought before Parliament and consider his position, claiming that Cwele may have used her husband's contacts to gather intelligence to cover up her activities.

Mr Cwele has denied all knowledge of any alleged drug trafficking.

Cwele's arrest comes months after an investigation by a local newspaper which linked her to the jailing in Brazil of a single mother who was found with 22lbs (9.2kg) of cocaine in her luggage, worth approximately £300,000.

Pietermaritzburg High Court heard that Cwele, who was arrested at her municipal office on Friday, faces three charges alongside Nigerian Frank Nabolis - one count of dealing in dangerous dependency-producing drugs and two counts of incitement to dealing in dangerous dependency- producing drugs, dating back to May and June 2008.

The charges relate to procuring Charmaine Moss to collect drugs in Turkey and another, Tessa Beetge, to smuggle 9kg of cocaine from South America.

Prosecutors said they would oppose an application for bail.

In a statement, the Democratic Alliance, said: "This is disturbing news and raises a number of serious questions regarding the minister.

"We believe that he must demonstrate to the South African public that he is in no way compromised by this matter; if he fails to do so, he ought to stand down from his position right away."

I hope those boys stick with the plan this time around. How can you sell the soul of your people for 65k a month ?
You are making the general mistake most Nigerians make concerning armed groups in the Niger Delta. Not all of them are under the MEND umbrella, in fact, MEND never accepted the so called amnesty (bribery programme); which is why they talk about withdrawing their unilateral ceasefire.
Any MEND commanders that accepted the "amnesty", did so in their personal standing only; also, MEND made it clear that any of it's commanders accepting the govt "amnesty" had permanently stepped aside and been replaced by fresh and unknown blood.

Most of those you see parading as "militants", are just opportunists, agbero's and criminals of various degrees who are after an easy buck (can they be blamed? grin). They are not MEND members, have never been and will never have the required selfless qualities of true freedom fighters.

It is well known that, rather than accept the amnesty farce, MEND stuck to its guns, formed her Aaron team (including Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka amongst other stellar Nigerians) in order to discuss core oppressive structural issues that lie at the heart Nigeria's federal makeup and constitution. MEND's unilateral ceasefire was a goodwill offer in the hope that the FG would use the "amnesty" as a stepping stone toward core discussions.

Tell them . . .  they thinks FG is the cause of all the problems,  HOW do you guys expect FG to respond to the ND issues, i don't get it, this should be a war with the state government. If FG want to respond they can only increase the sharing formula which will eventually come through the state gov. This fight can only be justifiable if the state's allocations are wisely spent. Easy to forget the sharing formula that favours the Oil producing states, so what have the so-called leaders done with it? Ibori, Lucky and CO are local celebrities in the Niger Delta region AND yes we have bunch of jobless fools calling FG to tend to their needs. Why can't you ask your state government, this is ridiculous the ND still have the biggest political criminals from the get-go of democracy, highest election fraud . . . and now kidnapping.

@ Beaf
You are deluded with the myth of Northerners dominance, the earlier you free yourself the better for you because Nigeria is going no where. If we have 36 Babatunde Raji Fashola representing all states, you wouldn't need the FG to treat you like a prince. . well i don't think you know the role of FG in the first place.

You have state and Local government for God's sake . .  you can't start the war from the root you want the FG providing you with fish for your soup.

Posted by Edecio Martinez
(CBS)
NEW YORK (CBS) The San Francisco Chronicle calls it the "Walmart of weed."

iGrow, a 15,000-square-foot warehouse near the Oakland Airport, is scheduled to open Thursday. It is a one-stop shop for medicinal marijuana, the paper reports.

The store has a doctor on site to help customers obtain a cannabis card and sells all the necessary equipment for indoor, hydroponic cultivation - from pumps, nutrients and tubing to lights and fans, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

It is believed to be the largest medicinal marijuana dispenser in California.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Should medicinal marijuana stores be outlawed or do you hope a "Walmart of weed" opens near you?

There is stup!d physics and then there is even more stup!d physics.
The earthquake in Haiti measured 7.3 and levelled the whole island. How much energy do you think was required to do that? It would have taken a nuclear weapon to create a similar level of destruction. How does any rational mind conclude that shining radio waves into the ionosphere can cause an earthquake, in fact it is very far fetched to imagine that the power of a nuclear device can be shone into the sky and somehow go unnoticed by satellite systems, mobile networks, weather prediction systems, advanced militaries etc? Abeg free me!

Beaf forget that talk, this group of folks will not hesitate to remind you how their war with Nigeria is different with the one you had.

So I think any sensible person from the SouthEast understand the need to continue to play a spectator while going about our normal business.
Trust me when I say this, the SouthEast is neither interested nor willing to team up with anybody to engage in any war. Nigeria is such a great place the way it is today, let us all live with it and enjoy it.
War should not be the first consideration. We need to form deep political alliances.

EzeUche:
Of course I know that not all Niger Deltans are Ijaw. Frankly, I consider my state, Abia State as part of the Niger Delta as well as Imo State. You also have Urhobos, Itsikeri, Ogoni, Ibibio and a host of other groups that I do not know their name.

I still do not think the Ijaw can be trusted unless the entire Ijaw Nation ask for Igbo backing. Because, without the Ndi Igbo, there struggle will be crushed. The Ijaw know that the Igbos would make a good ally because of our large numbers.
E.K Clark represents the Ijaws (and has very strong affiliations to other ND groups). He is the de facto leader of the ND.
I understand that Igbo's have issue's with his person post civil war, but no issue is too big to be ironed out.
There are too many inter-marriages and cultural linkages between the Igbo and Ijaw for quarrels to persist indefinitely. You never know, things might be worked out, there are more opportunities in alliances. What needs to be set out are clear red lines for all sides.

Then maybe, just maybe we may lend them our support.  undecided
Not all Niger Deltans are Ijaw. Secondly, there have been very high level meetings between South South and Ndigbo concerning Southern politics in Nigeria. That support is not as far off as you think and will be much appreciated.

We need each other.

By this crude definition, the government will consider Kaduna state and other Northern states where pipelines pass through to the refinery in Kaduna, oil producing states. What gives this government the right to share the resources of the Niger Delta between its cronies in ceding this suggested 19 percent? The Nigerian government claims ownership of the Niger Delta where it dares not do so in the North. The land in the North belongs to Northerners while the Niger Delta belongs to the North as well. Communities in the Niger Delta without installations suffer the effects of gas flaring, spillages amongst others so why does the Nigerian government not consider these communities in all its planning?
Of course, some "Nigerians" are more Nigerian than others.
Thank God for MEND.

Giving reasons for the recommendation, Tukur said: "They (Plateau indigenes) are not willing to live in peace with other Nigerians. They don’t even recognise the constitution of Nigeria, which in Sections 41 and 43 says that Nigerians have the right to live in any part of the country and can own property anywhere they choose to live.”

Happened yesterday (29 Jan 2010), I'm a few hours late. grin

The Sukhoi PAK FA (Russian: Перспективный Авиационный Комплекс Фронтовой Авиации, Perspektivnyi Aviatsionnyi Kompleks Frontovoi Aviatsy, literally "Prospective (Promising) Aircraft Complex (System) of Front line Aviation", NATO reporting name: Firefox[citation needed]) is a fighter aircraft being developed by Sukhoi OKB for the Russian Air Force.

The current prototype is Sukhoi's T-50[10] and the PAK FA when fully developed is intended to replace the MiG-29 Fulcrum and Su-27 Flanker in the Russian inventory and serve as the basis of the Sukhoi/HAL FGFA project being developed with India.[11][12] A fifth generation jet fighter, it is designed to directly compete with the American F-22 Raptor and American/British F-35 Lightning II. The T-50 performed its first flight January 29, 2010.[13][3].
