What happens to the oil and gas agreement between Nigeria and Russia? What happens to other foreign investments?
Govt needs to resolve these things and begin to treat every single Nigerian right (North, South, East and West).
Politics › Re: MEND Attempt Aso Rock! by Beaf(op): 2:25am On Jul 18, 2009
From the same article:

'A foreign diplomat, who pleaded anonymity, told Saturday Sun: "Nigeria and its people are now the joke in diplomatic circles. She is seen as incapable of managing herself. The country is seen as a place where security is non-existent. It is doubtful if the country has the capacity to defend itself considering the ease with which the militants struck at the Atlas Cove which is very close to a military cantonment with the presence of the Navy that is supposed to protect the oil installation.”'

I hope we can sort this out sooner, rather than later.

Another twist is just coming to light

"Security around President Umar Yar’Adua had been put on alert following the arrest of two suspected militants at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa. The arrest of the suspects was treated as a top security concern. The two suspects, Efe Nsieze Anurte and Omatseye Sheriff Eboh, both from Delta State, were arrested at about 11.30 pm on June 20, as they attempted to sneak into the president’s residence. In the same vein, Yar’Adua’s proposed visit to Bayelsa State was cancelled at the last minute following unfavourable security reports. "

All of this is beginning to take on a resemblance to the daring of Great Ogboru's coup.

These boy's no de fear? Which way Nigeria? Story is still unfolding. . .

The toad does not jump in daylight for no reason. UN must age test the boys. angry

9ja's arse was opened by the strange saga of Philip Osondu.
If you remember Osundu, he was of tiny stature, boyish; although his elbows and jawline were of manly proportions.

As it happens, some time after his exploits at FIFA U-16 World Championship, he was scouted for a bright career in Europe.

Europeans being what they are and wanting the most out of their investment, immediately commenced feeding Osondu beaf and beans. . . Various proteins. They pumped the "boy" with nutrients and vitamins, tried stretch exercises. . . Everything! Still the "child" refused to grow! shocked shocked shocked

Being a bit perplexed by this, the 14 year old was handed to doctors, who were immediately alarmed that he might have bone cancer. But on closer examination, it was discovered that his bone density was wrong. Out of curiousity, they age tested him. . . Test said 42! shocked shocked shocked

Being oyimbo, they felt something had to be wrong, so they sent for his passport, thinking they could look up his medical records on computer. The passport didn't look too right and sharp eyes soon noticed the Tip-Ex. Jesu! So they scraped the Tip-Ex off only to discover that the name on the passport was originally Musa Gwadabe. Thinking there must be an error somewhere, they sent for his birth certificate. Tip-Ex! The original name on the birth certificate was Wasiu Fadipe. Beans Burn!

That was the end of Osondu.

To show how oyimbo no de take their tin play, you can search for Osondu from now till tomorrow on FIFA's website (yes FIFA), no show! http://www.fifa.com/index.html
Search google for his picture no show. The only consolation is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1987_FIFA_U-16_World_Championship#Top_Goalscorers

9ja has learnt. No smoke without fire.

Poor American pikin no de fly plane. I still prefer Stella Felix, that was a proper acheivement; or is some child going to drive a car across the US and be hailed lavishly in 9ja? I don't understand.

Good luck to the child from a priviledged home. Poor man pikin no de fly plane.
How many people back home have benefited from this family?

I prefer the story of the 9ja girl that was tops in science and was honoured with a zero-gravity flight from the kennedy space centre

RoflamO !!! @Beaf for his failed attempt to slide out of this one.

So @Beaf, you are telling me that the quote below

Came from the article you posted, which I read by the way? Roflmao!!!
Why are you so childish?

Before you posted, some had proffererd arguments, others had offered pictures. No one had hurled abuse.
Stop being stupid. You came on and without reading a thing, hurled abuse at everybody.

You were the very first to haul abuse huh. This is the quote from your first post that made me give you the deserved "sharap".
Can we please start thinking rather than continuing to fuel our delusions with sick and irrational conclusions that continue to keep us were we remain?
I have ignored this previously; but rather leave things be, you keep raising the issue like the donkey brained half wit that you are.

Now can we keep to the topic?
Culture › Re: A Need To Change The Name Nigeria To Wazobia by Beaf: 7:40pm On Jul 17, 2009
Wazobia is just another expression for oppression. There are 250+ cultures in Nigeria. . . And we're to name the country after just 3?
The suggestion is extremly stupid because it looks down on other Nigerians. This is the most annoying thing I've heard today. huh

. . .Having vented my spleen, its a good topic. grin
Nigeria needs renaming precisely for the reasons you've mentioned, but I feel we should name it after the smallest ethnic group in the country, whoever they might be.
Business › Re: G8 Worried Over Nigeria's Nuclear Programme by Beaf: 5:42pm On Jul 17, 2009
Mpele:
The G8 countries are right, a country like Nigeria can't be allowed to have a Nuclear Programme. The next minute a dictator will come from nowhere and use it on his own people. The thing is the Nuclear programme is a not a danger to Africa but to Nigeria itself. The only country capable of harming Nigeria is Nigeria itself.

South Africa have been having nuclear weapons for over 40 years now. We've never used them. Even the apartheid government did not use them. The nuclear programme will only be used if any country declare war on us and our neighbours that includes smaller ones like (Swaziland, Lesotho and Namibia)
Say what you know. South Africa gave up nuclear weapons long ago at the end of apartheid. huh
The only reason the g8 is scared of Nigeria's Nuclear programme is the almajiri's up North. G8 see's links between all moslems and alqaeda, even where these links don't exist.

No2Atheism:
The highlighted point is the same mistake that most Africans and black people tend to make when it comes to Europeans or Arabs.

- Europeans are always protecting their own interest no matter wat, hence please do not be deceived Europeans never do anything without benefitting Europe in the long or short term, even if it means it causes loss of life of Africans.
- History of the past 500 years shows that the leopard know as the europeans have not really changed their spot, they have only modernised it.
- Charles Taylor was never supported and invested in so that he could save Africa, He was supported and invested in so that he could realise the agenda of europeans in Africa.
- CIA is not a good samaritan, they were created to protect military and commercial interest of a select group of people ruling the Western World, the day Africans wake up and realise that and then stop giving them opportunities is that day we would start reducing the occurence of dictators in Africa.
- Charles Taylor just like Saddam Hussein was only supported as long as he was useful to further and propagate European interest in the countries where he was used in.
- If there is no buyer then there is no market, there was a market and Charles Taylor was used to ensure the chain of supply was maintained as far as African resources was concerned.
Exactly!
My grouse is, why someone who was in govt but now wanted for theft and on a runner?
There is a reason why they look for the worst like Mobutu Sese Seko and Idi Amin Dada (both f.ucking "Field Marshals"wink.

"The OP consists of allegations and quotations from Charles Taylor as quoted from press rooms external to NL." You could have clicked the links before posting. No? Maybe, then you would have known that I wasn't stating my opinion. I'm 100% sure we would be discussing the topic if posters would take a couple of minutes to read linked material (and comment on the topic).
You refferred to my delusions only because you had veered off on an unrelated tangent.
I hope we can now go back to discussing Charles Taylor.

There is nothing wrong if the CIA bring a person to power. Since africa need to be clean up. But taylor got power drunk.

the cia may have wanted him to change the system for better. he did not.

but nothing is wrong in CIA influence decision around the world if a good reason.  If saddam got hold of atomic power. it would have been a different story. And that why CIA influence and decision is most time for the general good of the people. i have live here for very long time. They try to play fair most of the time. And it is a good organization to work with. they pay alot of money in salary.

Someone has to make the decision , why would CIA allow a man who is interested in nuclear weapon in power, it is danger to the world. And danger to our people. the CIA have the duty to bring down sure leader either in africa or anywhere in the world. The world have to act fast, every minute delay is danger. and CIA should not wait. it is like a time bomb.

taylor should have got in to africa and got out of power. you do not need power for too long to change the life of the people. i have live here for many years, and i can tell you for living here i can change the life of the power, because living over here is like living inside a university, you see the mistake africa leaders makes.
Saddam? Dis guy don kolo grin

a fact that most people overlook is that throughout the cold war the united states and the west supported all sorts of despotic governments in third world nations for the 'greater good'

Fhemmy Fhemmy,
well i like ur point but I hate when people look at it as if without lagos non-yorubas will not survive and that is the point that fellow called Negro was emphasizing. We must preach ONE NIGERIA!!!
Why? So the ND can feed people who think cos they bombed Atlas Cove, they attacked Yoruba people?
This thing has assumed silly dimensions, with some folk now wheeling out a toothless OPC.
The attack was on the FG which exists everywhere in Nigeria. It had nothing to do with Yoruba or are the Yoruba now the FG's protector?

The FG are the one in power of the affair of the nation and irrespective of the tribe that the president or VP or Senators are from.
Mind you N_Delta are represented in the house and at parliament, so how come MENDs are yet to kidnap the senators representing them?
How come they are yet to bomb the homes of Yar"Clueless?
they need to stop being cowards and deal with the leaders and not the messengers
None of this makes any sense.
In one fell swoop, you deface the family name of someone who as well as being old enough to be your grandfather, is also your president.
MEND are out in the field fighting for their belief and getting results, all you have done so far is dream; yet you call MEND cowards.
Stand up for yourself and your people, grow some balls and be a man. The real Nigeria will rise when each of us live our words.

One question that keeps banging in my head is WHY?

Why do we allow animals rise up amongst us, kill our talented ones like weeds and drag us back centuries?
Why can we not see that all of this is a cruel master plan of divide and rule?
Why after all these years do the same tricks work on us?
Why after so much sweat, tears, blood and sorrow can we not look within to ourselves, one another for support and sustenance?
Why do we, like trained dogs gun for our neighbour just because they are from a different culture?
Why do we have no faith in our own ideas and instead trust those who will sell us?

There are many questions for Africa to answer.
