Politics / Re: Soyinka As Okonkwo In 'things Fall Apart'! by Beautifulday: 4:03pm On May 24 |
Soyinka has been against the ideology Obi brought to the nation's polity because it goes against his ideology of keeping Nigeria down in the hands of a few who believe they fought for her independence |

Shevchenkko: He is one of those who brought Nigeria where she is now. When he spoke and protested against Jonathan. Many thoughts his intelligence was high enough to forecast tomorrow. When he presented Buhari as a better alternative. People were surprised but for his likes to say they would prefer Buhari without a certification of any kind to Jonathan with numerous accolades made people think, there is something about Buhari these guys know that we don't know. He has come again to play another god 3 Likes |

Politics / Buhari Fit To Preside Over Nigeria But Not Obi by Beautifulday: 3:27pm On May 24 |
Soyinka just said a fews days ago that Peter Obi is not fit to govern Nigeria not because he is not competent but because those who support him aren't push over kind of supporters. This same man has been pride to be one of the best brain to have been produced and exported by this nation. This pride of brain power foresaw the disaster as claimed by him and his cult colleagues of erudite scholars that president Jonathan's government will destroy Nigerian economy. They pushed herds of multitude who like sheep has no minds of their own to protest against Jonathan government. The reason for the protest was that fuel price was too costly at 87 naira and dollar exchange to naira which stood at $1 to 250 naira was too high. This same Naustradamus aka Soyinka saw with his future telescope that Buhari was the answer to our economic woes. He fought tooth and nail along his colleagues to make Buhari president. Buhari's president drop price of fuel from the self style abysmal 87 naira to 600 naira and move the exchange rate from 250 naira per dollar to 700 naira. Before I proceed further, I will like to draw your attention to the profile of Jonathan and Buhari. Before becoming the president of Nigeria, Jonathan was a lecturer, a deputy governor and a vice president. Buhari on the other hand was emersed in waec scandal. It was seriously contested that the man didn't have secondary school certification. The erudite scholar and his colleagues of intellectuals said and I quote, "even if Buhari present a tissue paper, we will accept it over university certification". This is the reason history was removed from our educational system because we will come to see how empty our educational idols are when presented side by side with outside the classroom situation. This same scholar said a few days ago that he hope Obi doesn't contest again. His reason is because Obi's supporters do not agree with his intelligence in choosing who should preside over the nation. Therefore, Obi is disqualified not on his incapabilities but on the incapabilities of his supporters. This is quoter system at play here. As a kid, we were told of the exploit of this same Soyinka in fighting against quoter system. A system where one is judge not based on merits and capabilities but based on who you know and where you came from. Like Obi said, "I am fighting to be the president to change the system so that the son of nobody can be judged based on his capabilities not on who is his sponsor or where he is coming from". These men are out to keep the old order in place because it favors their children not because they love the nation more than any of us. 7 Likes |
