adsense is not the only ads network. You can use as many as you can but consider your visitors too

A forum is a website, a blog is a website, a social media platform is a website, an ecommerce platform like jumia, konga etc is a website but their concept and purpose makes the difference. you can't . admob is meant for mobile app. you can convert your website to mobile app and then use admob to monetize it. if you want to monetize your website, adsense should be one of the ad network I will recommend

you get kicked out anytime any day, they may run advert on your blog, they may redirect your visitors to another site, their server is slow, they don't offer mostly all features etc. Free hosting should only be used for testing and practise purpose
