@TRAV,

Happy birthday to your wife. May she live her life to the fullest and to the glory of God.

1. Don't worry about adding the CFA qualification, her accounting degree and ICAN are enough. Study the job descriptions of both external auditor and management accountant, then choose any that aligns more with her experience.
Yes, her CFA will be an advantage to get something good when she lands.

2. As long as you have marriage certificate and pictorial evidence of your marriage, it will not affect you. My wife used her maiden name during my application too. They know some don't change surname after marriage.

You can start the process ASAP because the accountants occupation get filled very fast.

What is your own occupation?

Oga bellong, I know you are not an accountant cheesy

I just felt that as the initiator of the thread, you might have come across the question and it's answer OR a member who can address it.

I am gradually gathering relevant information though.
I actually have forgotten the body someone recommended the last time. I remember one of the accountants mentioned something about having ICAN to get a positive assessment with CPA I guess. The other two don't ask.

I hope the accountants can come to your rescue.

brother how com you have a positive assessment from vetassess WITHOUT test of English language. is there something we don't know. maybe you should explain how you did that.
You don't need English test for assessment with VETASSES. There's nothing he is not telling you. He already did his assessment.

40manlappy,
I am not an accountant.

No I haven't. Is it a much easier method compared to the one discussed.? A link/material will be appreciated.

Thanks
Chemical engineering is on the SOL list, you don't need state sponsorship which is sometimes cumbersome.

For Engineers, work experience is not necessary, you can write your CDR using IT, project etc experience.

It doesn't take one year to complete the process. It takes about the same time to process admission.

Read the thread I opened, many engineers with no work experience already gone through.

Welcome to the thread

Women have always heard what men want/ how to be good wives on our side of the divide. Compare the amount of wives/women seminar to that of husbands/men.

This article was written from the POV of a western man/husband.

Wonder what a typical Nigerian's will be like? Perhaps chores, well kept home, obedience, good food, sex, etc.huh??

Modified to welcome you smiley
One of the mistakes we make is we think Western men are different from other men especially African men.

Aside those that their relationships are defined by any belief or religion that subjugates women, men's interest world over in a woman is the same.

The view of a Western man about a woman is not different from that of a Nigerian and a Westerner does not treat his wife any better than a Nigerian.

You're quite a genius in clarity of information. Thanks for this exposé. I have a question. It goes thus: I graduated with a second class upper division in Botany from a good university in Nigeria and have worked in a freight forwarding/ clearing agency for 2 years post-Nysc. What do you advise me to choose as my skill if am to apply for the PR? I have looked up job description for freight forwarders on the occupation list but I couldn't find it. And I haven't worked in a botany related field since except during IT. I appreciate ur kind response in anticipation.
I don't think there is any occupation you can claim on the list, i am not sure. I have not come across any relating to freight forwarding or botany except custom officer which is different and no state is sponsoring it.

Why don't you do the "researching more" yourself?

You have to choose only one. Read the website of the three and go with anyone you believe will be convenient for you.

Hello All,

Can someone please confirm to me which of the assessing body I will need as an HND graduate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Not too sure which of these two will be my assessing body- Engineering Technology or TRA. Your urgent response will be highly appreciated.

Thanks
Depends on what you want to assess for..

Electrical technician... EA

Electrician...... TRA.

Study requirements of the two bodies to know which one you think will be easier for you. Also check the job descriptions of both.

Esty4eva,

Means not classified in any other occupation. The description determines that.

Noooo. Na 'rowmodel' I be grin thanks.

@bellong he runs an interior decor, furniture making outfit. I begged him to try the carpenter and joiner, e no gree
You probably need to ask him why he is refusing. Even if you were not a lawyer, I wouldn't advice you go ahead with any processing without mutual agreement on migration.

Ask him why he is refusing to do it. It could be, he doesn't believe it will sail through..

Does he have any technical qualification in joinery or related occupation?

thanks bellong I've scanned through the document. it is like the rules have changed. some occupation require just a year of relevant experience.
will this list affect SOL. and point calculation.
I don't understand your question. It has nothing to do with points calculation. This is only a guide for skill assessment with VETASSES.

I have attached a document from VETASSES which has detailed explanation and additional requirements to getting a positive assessment from the body.

If your occupation is assessed by VETASSES, read the attached document for your good to prevent asking unnecessary questions.

Lady,

whatever you read on their website is the real deal. It is a long process for lawyers and medical professionals.

Alternatively, look through the occupation lists if you can find alternate occupation to get you down here and you can complete the process at cheaper fee.

Are you married?

Policies change everytime, my soon doesn't mean it will be this year. When they observe that number of inexperienced folks are on the increase, they do something to correct it.

@metrecube

Don't complicate issues for yourself. It takes a very long time for family visa to be approved.

Apply together now, she has 6months to travel or she can travel to activate the visa and return to Nigeria rather than suspending it and go through the agony of applying for family visa.

Jbonito,

I graduated from Ife, I know only the university runs that crazy course.

There is diploma in nursing too and I don't think your D7 in biology can be a disadvantage.

@Guitarlife,

Add your masters degree, at least it will proof your recent experience in Engineering from the long hiatus in banking.
It is the strength of your CDR that you should be worried about than whether they will give you power engineering. If you write a convincing CDR, you will surely get it.
