Hello Nairalanders. I'm about starting container gardening with 7-gallon growbags for Tomatoes. I went online and I saw a bunch of recipes for making potting mixes. They mentioned some strange stuff like perlite and vermiculite. Does anyone know where these can be bought in Nigeria? If not are there any substitutes?
coco peat is the best medium for container gardening. Check my post below

I imported one Vegibee garden pollinator along with the bags and some San Marzano Roma tomato seeds too. I'm really looking forward to any advice on growing tomatoes. I have another question tho, how do I reduce humidity?
Agriculture / Re: Container Gardening For Tomatoes by bellville: 8:03am On Jun 24, 2018
You will need coco peat for your container garden. It is better than garden soil. Coco peat growing medium has the following advantages:
Excellent moisture retention
Improves aeration
Antifungal properties
Eco-friendly

Lovely! These are actually the lyrics to the hymn with the same title.
God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the Bible is loved and taught,
Homes where the Master’s will is sought,
Homes crowned with beauty Your love has wrought;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the father is true and strong,
Homes that are free from the blight of wrong,
Homes that are joyous with love and song;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the mother, in caring quest,
Strives to show others Your way is best,
Homes where the Lord is an honored guest;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the children are led to know
Christ in His beauty who loves them so,
Homes where the altar fires burn and glow;
God give us Christian homes;

God give us Christian homes!

Lets wait and see how d court will judge the case,according to the law of self defence,one needed to defend him self with the exact weight of the weapon your attacker is using,if you fail to do so;then,you are liable but,in this case,the woman made use of a kitchen knife that's more higher and destructive than the man's hands,as it stand now,am afraid,she might face d hang man's noose.
She can plead provocation though it's not a complete defence like self-defence. If the plea of provocation succeeds, then she will get some years of imprisonment for manslaughter.

Yoruba weddings are usually a fanfare attended by all and sundry, his political thugs inclusive. This may not be enough evidence.

You think you are talking to a neophyte? I repeat, how much have you made from ecom?
It's been a worthwhile side hustle for me and I earn enough not to feel threatened on my current job. That has always been my goal- that my next meal shouldn't be determined by another man.

And how much have you earned in ecom that makes you an authority to teach others?

Just admit that you want to join the OP in scamming innocent Nigerians.
Don't be too sceptical. Extreme scepticism is why a lot of people miss out on opportunities.

Ecommerce is the most practicable Do-it-yourself means of making money online in Nigeria as of today. Now you can take that to the bank.

If you know you know.
Business / Re: See Two Sure Ways To Earn Income Online Without Spending Much Money by bellville: 3:38pm On Jun 06, 2018
Affiliate marketing via clickbank, cj etc sounds good but complicated as they do not accept Nigerians. The best straightforward way to earn income online as a Nigerian without spending much money is ecommerce. It has worked for me. If you want to learn the ropes, I can take you through it and provide mentoring till you find your feet. Just for a small fee. Learn from someone doing it.

What I will do for you:
1. Guide you in finding the right product to sell
2. Set up an ecommerce store for you
3. Teach you how to drive traffic to your store
4. Teach you how to handle delivery/logistics.
5. And most importantly, teach you how to start small from where you are. I always advocate the lean start-up approach.

Travel / Re: Obalende BRT Park: Bad Maintenance Culture Or Sheer Wickedness? by bellville: 2:51pm On Jun 06, 2018
We lack maintenance culture. The red bus drivers are for the most part reckless. They just do not care. Some Nigerians are also destructive. A part of the newly installed wire mesh at car wash bus stop Oworonsoki (inward Ogudu) was vandalised overnight by commuters when the bus stop was moved further away to ease traffic congestion.

We need to change our attitude and we can start by teaching young school children.

Career / Re: Travelling To Canada And Starting A Pure Water Business In Nigeria. by bellville: 4:19pm On Jun 02, 2018
Apply for Canada express entry. Start the process. At the same time you can a start a small business on the side here while awaiting PR.

I wouldnt advise going into pure water business until you've understudied someone in that industry. Start a business that has to do with buying and selling. Find a product with a decent profit margin and go strictly ecommerce.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: When The Interviewer Asks You If YOU Have Any Questions For THEM by bellville: 8:53am On May 26, 2018
Ask them this:
I believe the relationship between an employer and employee is a symbiotic one. They both need each other. That brings me to the question: What are you bringing to the table? What do you have to offer that will not only bring me here but KEEP me here for the long haul?

Ask this question only if you know your skills are top-notch and you are highly sought after.
