Well it's called packaging simple, not everyone will come to your house but everyone will see u with ur car grin grin grin grin

Believe you me u need a good car to succeed in some profession eg contractors as a contractor or even lawyer d kind of car u drive makes ur clients trust u more with big deals grin grin grin it works all d time jst make sure u appear rich even if u r poor.

U must package ur life to succeed in life where u live, the car u drive, the clothes u wear, ur spoken n written English, d caliber of frnds u roll with, d joints u hang out all na packaging.

U travelled to Abuja from PH via bus a day earlier and a client is waiting for u at transcorp hotel n u receive his call in ur hotel room n u tell him hw u will be in Abuja in 45min using ur private jet lol na packaging, once he hears private jet he can trust u with 10 billion contract na packaging.

Rich ppl only trust rich ppl, to roll with big dogs in town u must package ur life
You are very right. Back then in 2008 I had a colleague whose salary was just N120k. He bought an expensive car on loan and had to pay back 100k monthly from his salary. All of us thought he was stupid. The first day he brought his car to the firm (law firm), he parked it in our our boss' space. Our boss got to know he owned the car. Before we knew it, he chose him as his proxy at board meetings of some notable companies where he had controlling shares. With that car, he had access to some clubs on the island and brought in good briefs. He left the firm to set up his own practice shortly after.

This same guy chose to live in one bedroom apartment (bq) in a posh estate in Lekki when the same money he paid as rent could have gotten a 2bedroom flat in Dolphin. He said "I won't live in Dolphin, I have my reasons". He really knew what he was doing.

Ovation magazine is a shadow of itself.

In the late 90s, many people did rituals just to be featured in Ovations Magazine.

Now, a Church Harvest's bulletin is even better than the magazine
very true. Dele Momodu should have created a celebrity blog in the mid 2000s (the early days of blogging in Nigeria), a kind of digital Ovation. In business, you just have to keep up with trends. Bellanaija is today's digital Ovation.
Education / Re: Stop! Don't Buy That HND Form! by bellville: 4:31pm On Dec 17, 2017
someone very close to me was a contract staff in a bank for 7 years. However I encouraged him to do a part time degree programme at Oou during the period. Luckily for him, the very year the bank did conversion for some of its contract staff who had Bsc was the year he got his degree cert. Today he's professional staff in their audit department. He has also done some certifications.

The advice is this: if you're employed as a contract staff with HND, immediately enrol for part time degree programme. I reccommend OOU. Their part time programme is fast but somewhat expensive.
Properties / Re: Why You Need A Surveyor When You Want To Acquire Land In Lagos by bellville: 9:06am On Dec 06, 2017
drewe20:
When acquiring property in Lagos, you need a Land Surveyor for several reasons.

1)Confirm the status of the property

2)Confirm if there are any foreseeable encumbrances

3)Advise on land acquisition procedure

4)Confirm the correct size of the property

5)Prepare a survey plan

6)Lodge the Survey plan with the government

7)Obtain land information

8 )Assist in obtaining Cerfiticate of Occupancy

9)Serve as an expert witness in land dispute

10)Divide land

The most important is to always remember to “consult a Land Surveyor BEFORE you purchase a property NOT after”and save yourself from making mistakes that are avoidable through professional counsel.
are you a surveyor? if yes, i would like to have your contact.

Politics / How Patriotic Are You? by bellville: 3:02pm On Sep 21, 2017
A social experiment was done in India where a woman goes to different people and asks them to rip a miniature version of the flag in exchange for 5000 rupees ($78.25)

What did people do?

A child refused to rip up the flag

A young man refused to rip up the flag

A woman refused to rip up the flag

An elderly man refused to rip up the flag

A poor man refused to rip up the flag

A foreigner refused to rip up the flag

No one agreed to destroy the flag for the sum of money. It made me happy to see that even though in India there are corrupt politicians who sell their soul for money and there are wealthy people who would do anything for profit gain, India is made up of people that would never put money or income before patriotism.

Source: Quora.com

How much would you be offered to rip the Nigerian flag? $100? $1M? How patriotic are you?
Travel / Re: 5 Reasons Why I Love Lagos City by bellville: 8:38pm On Sep 19, 2017
I love lagos. The only city where you can wake up brokeand have some money in your wallet before the day ends. You need not own a shop or a formal biz. All you need is a positive mindset and the will to go and explore what the day offers.

From Idumota to Oke-arin, from Ladipo to Aspanda/Alaba, from Yaba/Ojuelegba to Mushin, all I see is a world of endless possibilities. These are all places you can make legitimate dough.

Religion / Re: Opinion!!!!! Any Christian That Goes To Work On Sundays Will Not Make Heaven.... by bellville: 3:17pm On Sep 17, 2017
So what happens if your wife goes into labour on Sunday and all the doctors and nurses are off-duty.Man is not made for the sabbath.
Saintsammurai:
THE bible says, keep the sabbath day holy, the same bible says, seek ye first the kingdom of GOD and his riteousness and every other thing shall be added into it....You have mondays till saturdays to make money and provide for your families, you cannot go to your place of work on sundays, instead of going to the house of GOD, if you do that, then you will go to hell and wont make heaven.. THE time has come for the true worshipers of GOD to worship him in spirit and in truth. And the truth is, If you have a job that requires your service on sundays, then quit the job, because its GOD over everything... GOD will provide a better job for you...Let us tell ourselfs the truth, you cannot claim to love GOD and go to work on sundays instead of going to church to worship him.. so dont deceive yourself, Going to your place of work on sundays will only land you in hell and you are not a true christian...bible reference: Exodus 20 verse 8. deuteronomy 5 verse 12, exodus 31 verse 16.

The concept of patriotism is totally lost on us. You go on strike for not getting promoted, and when promotion comes its another excuse to down tools.
The truth is this government (with Nigeria) will cave if we don't support it.
what's the point in promoting people without corresponding financial benefits? The workers are only asking for what's theirs by right.

Hi Nairaland Brothers,

Does any one have an idea how much cellsite providers such as IHS Plc actually pays as lease for plot space to site telecom mast.

I have some guys who say they are from IHS and want to lease space within my car wash premises in Kubwa, Abuja. While i have raised concerns around the health implications, they are assuring me that its of little or no consequence if adequate space is given.

Does anyone have an idea of it entails? What legal loopholes should i look at plugging in negotiating with them

Urgent advise is needed pls!!!

Thanks
Did you eventually pull off the deal? What's the rent like? Our lease is due for renewal and would like to have an idea b4 going for negotiations
