Career / Re: Workplace Criminality – Can An Employer Fire An Employee Over A Case In Court? by bellville: 7:46am On Mar 31, 2018 |
The company can terminate his employment. However in doing so, they should give no reason for the termination in his termination letter. In other words, no reference should be made to the criminal act. Thereafter, criminal prosecution can commence. |
Family / Re: Is This The Right Time To Call The Inlaws? by bellville: 7:33am On Mar 30, 2018 |
Obaao1:All these will not work. I know a man going through this at the moment. They got the inlaws involved. Now the man is even more miserable. The wife and the inlaws subject him to serious emotional torture. The only advice people give him now is to fast and pray. We notice he divulges to his wife every piece of advice given by friends. The inlaws have taken custody of the children since last year and this bothers him. They still live together though. |

Religion / Re: Anglican Church Refuses Man Holy Communion Because Of His Beard. Photo by bellville: 8:47am On Mar 09, 2018 |
The priest wants to avoid a situation where hairs from your beard would fall into the communion cup. In the Anglican church, worshippers drink from one cup. It would be unfair to other members if they drink the wine with pieces of hair. Why do you think restaurant/eatery staff cover their hair? 3 Likes |

Business / Re: The Rise And Fall Of Online Retail In Nigeria by bellville: 3:07pm On Feb 12, 2018 |
To succeed in online retailing, you need returning customers. In other words, you must continue to enjoy patronage from people who have had good experience shopping from your store. Trust and integrity are the pillars. Spending huge amounts of money on adverts without delivering value to the customer would amount to nothing in the long run. You would only get one-time customers, not returning customers. There's money to be made from online retailing but you must have what is called "customer obsession". You must be customer obsessed and not product obsessed. If you're focused on the customer, you won't sell fake products and you will deliver on time. This is what has kept my online bookstore going since August 2015. Check my siggy. Place an order and we will demonstrate how online retailing works. 1 Like 1 Share |

Sales is the heart of every business. Whether you work for a company as a marketer or sales representative or you own a business, having the right skills to close deals and sell more is unbelievably important. Many salespeople learn mostly from experience to gain sales knowledge. However, you can cut down on your learning curve by learning from selling experts who have penned down their experiences. I have carefully selected these top 5 sales books available in Nigeria to help your sales career: 1. The Psychology of Selling by Brian Tracy The Psychology of Selling has been described as a superb, practical, easy to read book which teaches the very fundamentals of professional salesmanship. It is a great book on selling for those new to the art of selling and top-performing salespeople. It is an instructional blue print, a roadmap to a successful sales career. 2. Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini If you want to be successful in your sales career, you must have the ability to persuade others. You can improve your professional persuasion skills by following the six psychological principles that make people comply. Mastering these principles would lead to your potential clients or customers responding positively to your sales pitch. It has been described as a guide to getting what you need in a fair and ethical manner. 3. How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie This is a classic that should be read as often as possible. Dale Carnegie says don’t try to be right. Instead, be genuinely interested in others and respect other people’s opinions. It is a self-help book for learning to relate with people. 4. The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino Og Mandino tells the story of Hafid, a poor camel boy who eventually achieves success to teach aspiring salespeople the ultimate best selling principles. The Greatest Salesman in the World is a very interesting and insightful read. Source: http://www.bookstomydoor.com/top-5-books-in-nigeria-for-marketers-and-salespeople/

This happened in my kitchen this morning. What does it imply? Caretaker says he will call in a bricklayer to work on it. Is this something that can be fixed? I want to know if it's still safe to live in the flat. My rent is due next month. I need your advice.

sis, there are no proven health implications. Approach the issue like a business woman. Take the lease option but negotiate for a higher rent (they have an upper hand though) since it's a first lease. My mum has same on her land and it's been very rewarding. I can help you with the review of the lease agreement. bebe2: 1 Like |
