The situation is horrible dear. You should even see the way pcms were scrambling to pay. Somehow, pcms are the ones instigating the rubbish

Their is a rumour that the mobilization in RSUST is being highly manipulated. Pcms are being asked to pay for them to be mobilized. I was at the dsa's office yesterday and they blatantly refused to let pcms get access to the list. So for rsust hopefuls, pray!!!

Reasons why you shouldnt compare wole to achebe:
1. Wole is more of a poet than a novelist whereas achebe is strictly a novelist
2. Wole wrote to soothe the white man while achebe was keen on upholding his cultural heritage and wittingly rubbishing the white man's ways.
3. Wole was awarded a prestigious momentary award but achebe....the name achebe is already on its way to the minds of generations unborn.

You still fall for that? That this kind of govt can facilitate sustainable and fair-for-all jobs for nigerans? Very saddening
aresssa:

The fact that some can create their own jobs doesn't mean others can and the government shouldn't facilitate jobs for them.

Fingers are not equal my friend..
Politics / Re: Adeosun Signs $500m Real Estate/$200m Agriculture Agreement by benELOHIM7(m): 9:56pm On Aug 13, 2016
Someone with standard education doesn't need a job, he creates one. I will cite 2 examples
My boss, who graduated from yabatech in the 60s with just an ond in crude oil testing talks of how he refused offers from multinationals after he left school. He started a company which has over 1000workforce today.
I attended one of the state universities. While there I researched on converting MSW's from dumpsites in ph, to methane gas for domestic purposes. the estimate of methane from just 3 dumpsites would provide fuel for over 10000 houses annualy and thousands of job opportunities. The research was fully conceived by me and not by some professor, funded by me and done with very crude methods. I sent a proposal to ministry of energy but I havent had any response for years now.
Why would a mechanical engineer who has had thorough training on engine parts assembling and servicing walk the streets looking for job when he can establish a workshop? accountants that were taught well in school can merge and establish an accounting firm. Honor, dignity and class has to return to the educational system so that students can start thinking like their counterparts in better societies, as job creators and not job seekers.
This is top priority!

aresssa:

Of what relevance is your solution without jobs after graduation?

We don't even have jobs for the millions of graduates out there.

It's like some of you walk on your brains or just have to say something to sound relevant..

Revamping the educational system would provide more jobs and human development than building houses that may never be made available to the common man in his lifetime
obailala:
Except you are suggesting that the government should start paying stipends to every poor man in Nigeria, I wonder what else the government should be doing to help the nation besides infrastructural developments like this.
[quote author=ashjay001 post=48443304]

D commonman needs jobs, not banking jobs, not oyel jobs, not import n export jobs! Just unskilled or semi-skilled! D commonwoman needs patronage. Short of dashing pple on d street cash, projects such as ds are for d commonman!

Look at d school feeding, d demand for farm produce is gonna rise, d commonman will try to meet dat demand by either engaging in farming or increasing his output. Either way, he will be earning more! More money means more spending!

Why we live below d poverty line is because our leaders prefer to loot d funds instead of building infrastructure n paying pple to maintain dem. We need more roads, rails, teachers, police, schools, etc but dey budget money for all these n den loot such monies! Or instead of providing for such dey prefer to provide for invisible constituency projects!

D rich are gonna be with us, but dey generally make up less dan 10% of any population! D remaining 90% are key to unlocking any economy! That 90% needs jobs n cash to spend, providing it is d govts job![/qquote] revamping the educational system would provide more jobs and human development than building houses that may never be made available to the common man in his lifetime.
Politics / Re: Adeosun Signs $500m Real Estate/$200m Agriculture Agreement by benELOHIM7(m): 10:20am On Aug 13, 2016
On the contrary the money doesnt go round. It dissappears somewhere in the conduit if you know what I am saying. The money dissappears because the average nigerian has little or no knowledge of what the mou is all about and what he should be expecting.

you talk about working hard and smart like you dont know nigerians are one of the most hardworking people on earth, yet we still live below poverty line.

My point is, the govt should invest these funds in projects that affect the common man directly. What is too difficult in that?
ashjay001:

Oga, e don tay wey u enter (building)site o! Fine, d money no go buy ferrari, but it beats sitting at home n cooking up crime with ur friends, so u can survive.

That is how most economies work. The blue collar earns money n spends it, his spending it is wat makes d economy go round. The more he earns(consistently), d more he spends on evryday goods, d market pple make their profits, d manufacturer makes his own n probably increases production, employing more pple, who make more money n want to build their own house n d circle goes round n round!

The rich are at d top of d economic chain, financing ur house, ur car or even sell goods to u at great profit! U can be rich too! Just work hard n smart n pray for providence! But does benelohim pray? Seem I remember u frm d religious section.

Absolute rubbish. why after all the hundreds of mou's signed, we still havent tackled unemployment? I am sure you refer to the man-know-man system of employment. Why are nigerians so stupid or irredeemably hypocritical?

The educational system was designed to structure the mind towards positive and innovative thinking, to inculcate much discipline in students so that they doggedly stand against indiscipline even in the pain of death. Its a shame that our educational system has been reduced to this despicable form where a graduate from an indigenious university cannot define his course of study talkless of applying it in the real world. I hear that there was a time when secondary school leavers get decent jobs in multinationals. This era had entrepreneurs in authors, international traders, well educated farmers etc and the economy was better, a dollar to a naira. Why? Because the foundation (education) was sure and firm. There was a place for everybody in the society and every one knew his place. Orderliness!

I dont know if its stupidity or sheer ignorance, but the way forward is not in signing deals that will favour a selected few. We should stay awake please!

Now

Just yesterday I was in my room napping when I dreamt of my mum talking to a man with a scare on his right arm. Just few moments after I woke up, I overheard my mum asking a man of a scar on his arm. Curiously I went out to discover that the scar was unbelievably on his right arm, though the scar in my dream was fresh.
Life is indeed deep!

oglalasioux. How does schroendigers eqn explain this since subatoms dont exist in dream world
oglalasioux:

Let me give you a little insight about Schrodinger's equation.

The equation states, correctly, that the subatomic particles that makes up everything can exist in more than one place at the same time. Experiments show this is true. So scientists argue that since subatomic particles are the building blocks of everything, then what they built up can exist in the same way.

The saliva you spitted out of your mouth is therefore still connected to you in the subatomic state. If it comes into contact with a disease, quantum mechanics prove that disease can affect you.

Also consider telepathy. When you hear a little voice it means someone far away is talking behind your back. This also is true. How does your GSM work? Or let us use a simple wireless microphone as an instance.

Our voices (and thoughts) radiate and flow into the atmosphere at 670 million miles per hour. So when you speak, it takes a second for your voice to reach as far as the moon and it continues to travel forever in all directions of the universe. The path the voice follows is electromagnetic waves. So if I have a magnet, it can attract your voice in real time and you can hear it loud through amplifiers. That's how microphones work and interestingly your GSM.

When you make a phone call to someone in USA, it's not the phone that took your voice there. Your voice is already radiating through the universe. The phone simply sifts the voice out of trillion others because you and the person you are talking to are on the same frequency.

I took time to explain this to you because that's how television works too. And shockingly, it's what our brains pick when we sleep which we know as dreams. People we call prophets and miracle workers just have the privilege of higher brain frequencies. When Einstein died, it was discovered that his brain was different. It's still in a jar at Princeton University.

Without messing with your belief, I must tell you that 90% of what religion do which we term miracles is actually solid science. The white people know but they won't just blow it up yet and expose religion because the existence of the state of Israel hinges on the belief that a being somewhere is controlling the universe. The contrary is the truth.

Sorry you just typed ignorantly.

Back to the case. I discoverred that most children of very successful people often end up like the young man in question. Succesful people (especially those that made it out of nothing) tend to expect so much from their children ignoring the fact so many factors aside hardwork come in play for one to be successful. Unable to fill the vacuum, the child assumes he/she is inadequate and gets depressed, losing his/her selfworth. Consequently he/she seeks solace in drugs, alcohol etc. It is a trend I have keenly observed.
Most times, parents (especially african parents) are the master of their children's fate.
