Exactly ,rather than concluding that the applicant has insufficient funds.it is just not fair.
MeinKampf:
means the scanning wasn't clear enough but I think the VO should have thought that was due to compression into 4mb max for all documents and should have requested for the clearer statements

WHY I SAID IT WAS A MIRACLE
1. I received passport request and then after 1 week and some days, I was expecting ‘’your passport is ready for pick up ‘’ only to receive an email in my CIC account that the passport request sent was sent in error. I was shocked that this could happen. When I researched on a few people online who this had happened to, it ended in a refusal. But I held unto the word of God that said ‘’ who’s report would I believe? God or man?).
2. I held unto the word of God. I prayed more, I praised him and I kept fasting, I encouraged myself.
3. I made a huge mistake while I was uploading my personal bank statement. After submission. I realised that my bank statement was supposed to be 20pages, but I mistakenly uploaded only 5pages. ( it was incomplete). I really did not know what to do, so I took it to God in prayers. I was scared that the VO would think that this was deliberate and that I wanted to hide something. But God took control.
4. In addition, some people genuinely advised that I apply first on my own then later my family can apply. But you see, my family is everything to me so I never for once considered the thought of applying alone first. So with faith, I decided to apply together with my family.
5. Also, my school only gave me one chance of deferral I had differed from 2018, and I would have lost the admission if I wasn’t granted the study visa, but I thank God who did it!

A big thank you, to all the seniors and everyone who takes time to responds to people’s concerns and request on this forum, to everyone who helped me with information on this nairaland forum. I must confess you guys are awesome and I appreciate you all.
I pray from my heart, that my sweet Jesus who heard and answered my prayer would hear and answer the prayers of everyone reading this in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Tip: Prayer changes things. Please never loose hope. God still works wonders. Always tell it to Him, He hears, He listens and he answers!

If you are applying as a family with Children, upon passport submission we paid 11k for each child for ‘’passport Transmission.’’

Mathew 17 vs 201- ‘’Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

It ended in praise, My God will do yours also and you shall testify in Jesus mighty name amen!

I am Goingforward.!!!! Forward only. cool grin smiley

Last i checked, the processing time is 15weeks ,but please be aware that the time stipulated on the website isnt applicable to all applications, it could be longer for some amd also way shorter for some other people.paper route has proven to be quite faster than online route ,and rven more recently quite a substantial numberof sept and October have gotten their application attended to faster than expected regards of the route they applied through.
As regards ur second question, if your acceptance letter duration expires before a decision is made on ur visa you will be contacted by visa officials possibly via email to provide a new acceptance letter ,which could be gotten from your school.and peradventure studies start before a decision is made on ur trv u will have to defer ur admission to another session permitted by the school, while u wait for a decision to made on your visa.
Yoshy:
Hello guys, after submitting your application, what next?

I saw it now takes 52wks for VOs to work on applications minus processing time. What if your acceptance letter expires before then? Or studies started before decision was made on your application?
How do you approach this situation?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bennycrown(m): 7:16pm On Nov 10, 2018
Okay, thanks.by what you said now.i have a further understanding of what it means now,my eligibility review hasnt even changed on my portal.
makano:
Application under active review = They are currently reviewing if you are eligible to study in Canada (Even tho Eligibility review has started on ur profile or not)i.e Ur finances and If the documents you submitted actually proofs to them if truly you are a genuine student or not.. Application under active Processing = They are currently doing a background check on you i.e Criminal records, Travel history to other countries(If you have any criminal records in the countries you have visited and also if you have at any point overstayed in those countries) e.t.c. Peace
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bennycrown(m): 11:54pm On Nov 09, 2018
Ok
Thanks for the clarification
jnyuwa02:
There is a difference. Active processing means they are still doing background check and all other protocols that must be passed before eligibility of review commences. Active review on the other hand, means it has passed background check and in the final stages of been decided. In a nutshell, active review is more closer to a decision been reached on an application than active processing.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Bennycrown(m): 9:26pm On Nov 09, 2018
Is there really any difference between "Application under active processing"and "Application under active review"
Or are the officers just deliberately playing with us with words

I did that and two days after they sent me a correspondence letter. I called their customer care line, sent a message to Lagos.immigration (I don’t remember the rest but I can find the email if anyone needs it) and their customer care email as well. I had submitted my passport in over a month and I hadn’t heard anything from them. Less than 48 hours after sending the mail, they sent me a correspondence letter so go for it guys. Hi all, i have been a silent reader for sometime now, my application had been since july 7 and although my situation was a little different since i had submitted my passport since september 13, i got a response today.
what i did differently was to log a complaint via the webform where i stated that my application had been pending since july 7th and attached my new letter of admission for winter admission since due to the delay i was unable to resume the fall admission

i got a mail from lagos immigration this morning that my application had been finalised and sent to vfs

i am writting this for the people whose applications have passed processing time, i think you should also try thisroute and attach your new letter of admissions too

all the best guys

Abeg.this processing time is bullshit, and gradually becoming generic to me.look at september and October applicants getting an update on their application roughly between 30days .that obviously didnt go with processing time.which is quite fortunate for them.but am thinking we june, july and august applicant shouldnt allow whatever update cic decides to put on their processing time to bother us. God is with us,and we will surely be victorious

Hello Nairalanders,

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isa. 55:8–9).

God’s ways are higher. Trust that he has a divine purpose for every delay. Our viewpoint may be limited, but God sees all things. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” God may be putting everything in place before revealing His blessing to Us.

May God's blessings come to us speedily in Jesus name. I decree and declare open heavens upon our Canada study Visa applications.

Have an approval filled week in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Where did you book your medicals? And what month did you submit your application?
OFFICIALAEL:
Good day all.

First I want to thank everyone that has been contributing to this forum. You all are well appreciated.

I just got my medical call up, after applying a second time for a student visa. I believe we will all get to the finish line with reasons to celebrate.

In my previous application, I ensured I ticked all the boxes required. I had one yr tuition paid, had the required amount in my dom acc, provided my sponsors supporting docs, bank statement etc. Wrote a good enough SOP and also provided land doc gifted to me as “home tie” but unfortunately I was denied based on home ties, travel history and purpose of visit. I didn’t request for my GCMS note, because I didn’t have the time.

In my follow up application the docs I changed were both my bank statement and that of my sponsor to reflect current balance and a new SOP.

In my SOP I highlighted the reasons why I was denied in my previous application and I addressed each accordingly. I think it’s very important to point out valid reasons why you are going for your program and what you intend to do afterwards. Also point out why it took this long to take a decision to study overseas, how you’ve been of assistance to your family here no matter how little and how you look forward to coming back home to do more for both your family and society.

I should also mention that I wrote to CIC during my wait period for update. You won’t blame me, it was over 3months that I had applied.

Lastly, I trusted God to have his way no matter the outcome.

I have booked my Medicals. Next will be looking up tickets ( the prices are scary, MUST I BOOK ROUND TRIP ? )

Best regards

Hello Nairalanders,

I pray for everyone reading this.
That you receive peace in your heart knowing that God does not sleep or slumber on anything that concerns you.

God's promises for us are true and sure.
God is an expert in turning the tables around in the favor of His children. Read Daniel 6 vs 19-28.
Daniel may have felt forgotten while in the Lion's den, but God never forgot him.

I pray that the God of Daniel, our God, will turn the tables around as we continually wait and trust Him and our applications shall receive apt and speedy attention and approval in the mighty name of Jesus.

Have a week filled with laughter and rejoicing in Jesus name.

Up front medical done on July 31, 2018
Police report done August 15, 2018

I had no landed properties document though I am a first son to my dad, but his houses have no full documentation which I didn't have the time to purse.

I decided to put my full details for those who still doubt it's impossible for post graduate diplomas or certificate applications to get approval. Funny enough I even have a masters. And I'm 31
Secondly, I work in customer care telecommunications, and stated in my sop that I wish to change career path to project management to avail myself with abounding project management jobs in telecommunication. So career path change is possible.
Lastly, based on what I have seen here I wouldn't say I have strong home ties, I just stated in sop that I needed to better myself as a first son to be able to take care of my parents and 4 other siblings.

If my application was disserted here, truth is I would be told not a tight application . But I did my best based on what little I had available and relied on God to perfect everything, and I strongly believed... Thank you Jesus. I wouldn't lie I didn't fast and pray, but I prayed fervently.

I just did a implant hardware removal surgery for a tibia fracture I had in an automobile accident last year. Have to walk with crutches for at least 3-6weeks until holes left by screws have healed considerably, but that won't stop me from bursting into vfs on Monday.

BTW... For those who have done ppr, hope I can get my passport back before Friday on 26/10/2018 as I'm to resume work on Sunday being 28/10/2018.

Please forgive my long epistle, I'm so happy.
For all trv hopefuls, don't give up. I'm a living testimony.
