AHCB:It depends on the "reason". ¬But like you initially pointed out, it all boils down to your personal belief.Exactly, and belief, my friend, doesn't usually equates to FACTS. |
AHCB:If you're not time, when then did time tell you it'd scripted every SINGLE action of ours? so saying you'll die is speculating, right? There are things that are sacrosanct and must happen. Everyone can state that they MUST HAPPEN BEFORE they actually happen and that's the point I was trying to let you know. Since those things are known to generally happen, there's no surprises there, but those things people don't know must happen, when someone can actually state they must happen and they do, it's becomes a rare feat and will shock us all. Take for example, everyone knows that we MUST die one day, but when someone out there keeps stating the EXACT TIME AND WAY people will die, now that revelation will astound everyone that comes to realize he's right. Why? Because what he's doing is stating the future and getting it right. It's an extraordinary feat that none has achieved. So, telling me I'll die someday is nothing to be praised about, EVERYBODY knows it. But tell me the exact time, month, year, and method of my death, the events that MUST occur that day, all of which I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL OF, all of which has been predestined by time. If you can do that for everybody, then you'll convince us that you've read our life script which you're CLAIMING EXISTS and knew how it must play out. Tell us what we know not, not what we already know. |
AHCB:In addition to my last post, can you tell me what time has predestined to happen to me tomorrow by 1:23pm, 11:11am, 1:05:06am tomorrow? If you can't tell me what will happen to me in those aforementioned time, but believe that what will happen me then will happen and has already been predestined by time, then you're just speculating without any fact. |
AHCB:This looks to be coming from a religious angle not a factual one, like how theists believe in a God which they haven't seen yet. Their beliefs works more on faith than sight. For example, how do you verify each person's time? How do you prove with TIME that a person will turn out this way or that way BEFORE he does? Or that by so, so and so time next year, Mr A will perform a definitive act which you or anyone had already seen or known? If I get you correctly, if Mr A ends up being killed by lynching, you're of the belief that time had predestined Mr A to die through that means and there's nothing he'd have done about it. But you don't expect inquisitive folks to believe you if you can't say from the beginning that Mr A would end up that way. After all anyone can claim anything AFTER it'd had happened, but to actually predict factually BEFORE it happens is the real deal, and that's what those fictitious time machine in movies does, but in real life, none of that exist neither can it be proven. To expatiate further, if 19 people and I placed a bet which fails and then you say we failed because time had predestined it that way, I'd simply ask that if you're so sure, why didn't tell us that all our bets must fail as time had already predestined it that way instead of waiting after it had failed. In other words, everything that happens, you BELIEVE it's meant to happen that way by time, but you can't prove it BEFORE it happens. It boils down to your beliefs like I initially pointed out. |
AHCB:Expatiate. |
AHCB:Proof like where it's written that every action of ours is predestined. Or happenings that showed all our activities on earth had already played out and we're just living a scripted life. |
AHCB:I'll need some concrete evidence to believe your line of thought. Just saying it ain't enough. Can you prove it? Or it's just your belief? |
AHCB:I think it boils down to people's beliefs, then. What you wrote is what many theists/religious people would say, but I personally don't believe such. I don't believe our actions or inactions are predestined, even if it were, we can change it. |
AHCB:OK, I get it now. Why do you think all our actions has been preordained? Or do I need to watch The Time Machine to understand where you're coming from? |
KoiceReloaded:You mean to tell me the 3 series you mentioned are better despite Narcos being dope? It's obvious I have a lot series to watch. I'm definitely carrying last when it comes to series. |
KoiceReloaded:You want me to add The Invitation and Another Earth to that list, abi? No way. I'll jot them down to watch in the near future. Coherence is on that list, I'll do justice to it very soon. I've seen Looper. You listed it for me when you were suggesting mindfuck_ movies like Memento, Predestination and co, earlier this year. It's a dope movie. |
AHCB:I haven't seen The Time Machine, but I find it hard to believe that any human can doubt the existence of free will. Haven't you heard of people changing religions or becoming atheists or agnostics despite being theists? If it isn't freewill, what is it? Next year, Nigerians will vote for any of the parties of their choice. Isn't that freewill? How about people choosing to support any clubs they want? Isn't that freewill as well? Without freewill, we'd all be zombies, thinking, doing and believing alike. |
Chiemerie8:Download link for a film that's not up to a month old?
|
Time Lapse 8/10 Quite simply one of the most intelligent time travel movies I've ever watched. The simple but yet ingenuity-filled storyline makes it all the more impressive. And it's not even a novel adaptation. The director of the movie is very imaginative and detailed. Low-budget movies that are well written are goldmines, what they lack in costly CGIs, they make up for it with an engaging and brainstorming and compelling storyline that leaves the viewers asking questions way after the movie has ended. If this story was true, it lays to waste the idea of free will, because all our free will still ends in a definitive preordained ending which we can absolutely nothing about to change. |
armadeo:Choices will always differs, so some people will enjoy the movie, but the consensus opinion was that the movie was Shitty and I agree. |
KoiceReloaded:If this turns out to be fake ehn. . . This treatment is waiting for you.
|
TheKingIsHere:I no follow am. I deleted the movie after watching it once. |
TheKingIsHere:That Pirate of the Caribbean reboot will be a massive flop. By the time it flops, the likes of Female Thor would follow suit and those thinking of having a female Bond would quickly have a rethink. If it ain't broken, why fix it? Hollywood have ran out of ideas. SMH. |
TheKingIsHere:Mehn!! I was still reeling from the pain of my friend foolishly deleting the movie I'd just downloaded and was yet to move to my laptop, only for the second film to turn out being a fake one. My day just got ruined. |
BlackManta:By the time the movies flops, na body go tell them. Confused and clueless folks!! |
KoiceReloaded, you deserve a lengthy ban. The link of the HUNGER movie you dropped here was actually the link of THE HUNGRY a 2017 Indian movie. I discovered it few minutes ago. To say I'm pained is an understatement. Add to the fact that one of the movie from that list I downloaded as well, my friend mistakenly deleted it. Total waste of my precious MB
|
How To Get Away With Murder is about get real bloody. Double shocking revelation in one episode. |
MobileGees:Season 5 was wack and a total waste of time. |
KoiceReloaded:Only Paparazzi and Poker Face from that list have I watched and listened to. Paparazzi was actually very good but it couldn't endear me to her back then. Maybe I'd let go of my prejudice against her and listen to more of her songs. And I didn't even know she's acted before, talk more of winning a Golden Globe. No wonder she put it in a performance of veteran. |
Treyknowles:The Lady GaGa I watched last night is very beautiful even without a make-up unless it's a computer special effects that made her beautiful. Her beauty without make-up was what actually surprised me. There's no logical way someone who watched her in A Star is Born would say she isn't beautiful. No frigging way. |
TheKingIsHere:So, IMDb gave it the same rating as mine? Hmm. First time I'll ever agree with them. LOL. Though the movie is not good, it isn't that too bad to deserve the very poor ratings y'all gave it. Una just dey para anyhow. Calm down. ![]() |
A Star is Born. 8/10. Take a bow, Bradley Cooper!! Your directorial debut and you aced it. Took to your role perfectly like a duck to water. This is how a reboot should be. Predator 2018 are you watching? Even The Greatest Showman could learn how to match a good musical performances and cinematography with fantastic storyline and superb acting performance from A Star is Born. The surprising package was Lady Gaga. I knew Bradley is a top actor, but I never envisaged a terrific performance from Gaga. She's a natural. Apart from the singing scenes which she'd normally excel, she passed her other scenes with flying colors. It's like she's been acting for ages. And she's fine AF. I never noticed because I never liked her when she came out newly back then because I disliked her weird dress sense and act, so I'd always change the channel when her musics were on. But watching her closely for over 2 hours made me realize she's very beautiful. Good voice to match a good acting performance. I'm impressed. I look forward to seeing her in more roles. She's good. |
KoiceReloaded:I'm tempted to start downloading it, but I won't. It'll distract me from the movies in that list. |
KoiceReloaded:All these big big grammar just to tell me you forgot and give me headache. You deserve this. . . ![]()

mekaprime:Yes. Came out yesterday. |
KoiceReloaded:Very rare, mate. I can't remember the last traditional flick where actor's talent was truly manifested like that of DDL. For Last of the Mohicans, He learned how to fire and reload muskets especially while running, learned to skin animals and make clothes, learned how to build and ride a canoe and a whole bunch of other shit_ for the role of Hawkeye. DDL takes his scripts/roles so serious. He goes to great lengths to interpret his roles perfectly. Leo di Caprio in The Revenant and the protagonist in Apocalypto are the 2 actors in a traditional flick in the past few years that reminded of DDL's performance in The Last of the Mohicans. |
bodyonchecheche:Its ratings so far has been discouraging. Watch and rate it for us. We need to know what we're dealing with it when it's time for us watch it. |
