CelebritiesRe: Femi Fani-Kayode Blames Pistorious' Girlfriend by BeraBera(f): 12:11pm On Feb 18, 2013
I'm not in support of the murder at all. But come to think of it, the truth is that majority of the women who are victims of domestic violence actually provoke their husbands/ boyfriends to uncontrollable anger. They nag, scream, shout, insult, abuse their men and call them names. And we know that men are egoistic, they like being the one in charge, and don't tolerate anything that undermines their ego. So sometimes, in order to shut the shouting woman up, they end up beating them up or eventually killing them.
Whenever you hear a case of domestic violence, first ask what led to it, you will always realize that there was a heated argument in which sometimes, the women involved say all sorts of things to their men and even dare the men to kill them: "YOU MUST KILL ME TODAY"
PoliticsRe: APC Will Displace PDP - TB Joshua by BeraBera(f): 10:44am On Feb 18, 2013
"....If they are able to unite and work against those sent in by PDP".
How far are they uniting? With all these their confusions and disagreements over party logo, presidential flag bearer, etc.

The question is: Can they guarantee us good governance and accountability? It's not just about taking over power from PDP, are they going to do for us what the PDP has been unable to do?

HNosegbe: A desperate attempt to portray an image of humility and affinity with the common plan.

Oga Dino, how about declaring your assets first? tongue
Spot on! Dino must have gone to the house of one poor woman to stage those pictures just to claim to be on the side of the masses.

We've seen pictures of his houses and cars all over Abuja and Lagos. So we can't be deceived.

Na today??

CelebritiesGoldie’s Death: Prezzo Heads To Lagos by BeraBera(op): 2:25pm On Feb 15, 2013
Goldie’s close friend and partner Prezzo is on his way to Lagos, following the death last night of the entertainer and Big Brother alumnus.

Our correspondent in Kenya says Prezzo’s friend, Shaffie Weru spoke to Prezzo’s mum who confirmed that her son left for Nigeria on Thursday night most probably after getting the news of Goldie’s death. Shaffie is a radio presenter with Kiss 100.

We’re told Prezzo, who met Goldie while both were housemates at the Big Brother Africa Stargame in 2012, is ‘beyond shocked’.

Meanwhile another Big Brother colleague Milicent Mugadi says it’s difficult for her to digest the news of Goldie’s death. ‘Later in the day I will organise together with a few friends to have a private mass to remember Goldie.

May she rest in peace. I still cannot digest the news’, she said.

If anybody has got anything against the celebration of St. Valentine's Day, why don't the person mind his business and let others be. How will you take it if some group of Christians one day wake up and tell you not to celebrate your Idel Malud or Idel Fitri? Is it not an infringement
Abeg let us leave these Pakistanians to their wahala. Let us not import this to Nigeria o, we already have enough religious intolerance and we don't need more.

Biafra zionist: This are corpse of Massobians killed by the police recently
While i sympathize with the families of the dead people in this picture, i must say that this must be a picture of an old incident. The police may not have even been involved in the circumstances surrounding this incident. It may probably be a picture of communual clash / land tussle victims.

In fact, this might even be a staged photo-shoot, done to whip up sentiments here on Nairaland. Biafra zionist, learn to back up your claims with substantial facts. Nairalanders are too smart to be cajoled into unfounded sentiments.

Any group working towards the breaking up or towards seccession will definitely not succeed. BIAFRA ZIONIST MOVEMENT, we know your plans, you guys are not even working hand-in-hand with the so-called MASSOB, you have your own agenda. Why don't you guys cooperate with the rest of well-meaning Nigerians to move Nigeria forward. All this Biafra struggle is not going anywhere. Your declaration of Biafra last year, how did it end? Was it not in a massive arrest of your members?

Can't you see that majority of the well-meaning Igbo leaders have left the Biafran cause and are supporting the One-Nigerian cause. For example, the wife of our Eze Igbo himself, Mrs Bianca Ojukwu is now the Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, do you think she will leave that juicy appointment to come and be fighting for Biafra?

I'll advise us to look for legitimate jobs/businesses/causes to champion. All these arrests of Biafra Zionist Movement members or MASSOB members do not paint we Igbos in good light.

And i just wanted to watch Nigeria play Burkina Faso once again. You know, we started the tournament with them, so let us end with them too.

PoliticsRe: Why There Is Need For First Ladies Mission- PDP. by BeraBera(f):
Frank-C:
How old are you? What does it mean to host an event? Does Super Eagles pay for the field they are playing on in SA (which is an equivalent of a conference center) or is it South Africa's responsibility? Some of you are just so surprising proudly ignorant, even broadcasting it in the public.

The point the guy is making is simple, if you must criticize the government, don't fabricate lies to achieve it. Do it based on facts and do it with maturity. 4billion was budgeted to finance the construction of something like a mission house, an AU strategic idea that is also being planned by member states. You want your country to remain a regional power, yet you cry when they want up on the metrics.

The opposition claimed that FCTA is spending 4billion to rehabilitate sexworkers. Records has shown that to be a lie. 4 billion is just the total amount for Social Development Program of the FCTA under which you have rehabilitation of facilities for the vulnerable including the sex workers among others and the cost attached to it is 150million. Why the lie that government will spend 4billion on sexworkers?

All these lies continue because people believed the former one that the President budgets 1billion naira for his food per annum. This so called opposition is taking you for a fool. They are manipulating your emotions against your government. You are the pawn in their chessboard. If a man outside government can tell this much lie to get in, imagine what his lies will be like if he eventually makes it. PDP may not be perfect but this so called opposition people are proving to be desperate with their lies.
You know, members of the opposition sometimes mischievously select a segment of govenment policy, interpret it the way they want and use it to whip up sentiments from their supporters. They hardly read in-between the lines or study facts & figures before jumping into criticisms. All they want is to fight the government of the day by all means, be it with truth or with lies.
In as much as the money set aside for the building of the AFLPM House is much, it is still however important. And it would be a plus to the international reputation of our country.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Vote Out Pdp And Vote In Apc In 2015 by BeraBera(f): 2:17pm On Feb 07, 2013
soochukwu: Dear country men and women alike we now have another chance to advance our well being,a new party by the name (APC)ALL PROGRESSIVE CONGRESS is in existence,it comprises of these parties ACN,ANPP,APGA AND CPC.My people we have given PDP all the time since 1999 till date without any meaningful improvement in these primary things,eg Power supply, good roads, good health care, public water supply, we must stand up now and try something different,we may be better, please lets give it our best shot, any individual, corporate organisation or Government that has been given so much time like PDP has been given and nothing to show so why waste more time. Please this change must start now.We must put our individual and tribal interest aside and pull Nigeria together, from 1999 till 2013 i am sure we all know the difference in year.Signup Nigeria.
Can you pls give us examples of the provisions of the above-listed bolded ammenities in the states being governed by the merging political parties.

From what we can see, these parties just want to take over power, that's all. We Nigerians need to be sure that APC has the betterment of the lots of the masses at the back of their minds.

Now is the time that we have to stop looking at mere parties, we have to consider who are the individuals representing the party, what are their antecedents and what are their prospects.

Now look at it, instead of concentrating on how to better the lots of their citizens and embarking on developmental projects, these governors are busy planning for 2015. This doesn't speak well of them. Let their works and their integrity do the campaign.
PoliticsRe: Mseilla Massalla-led APGA Denies Merger Participation by BeraBera(f): 2:11pm On Feb 07, 2013
So now, how many APGAs do we have in Nigeria?
They should have first arrived at an agreement on whether they want to join the new party or not. However, that Rochas was present during the merger does not mean that he was sent by the party's leadership. Let us keep our fingers crossed, more would definitely unfold

Happy Birthday Omotola. I was thinking she would be older than 35. What a surprise!

One of the numerous things that interest me about this lady is the fact that in spite of stardom and fame, she has remained a very good wife and mother, standing by her husband at all times, and doing everything possible to make her marriage work.
PoliticsRe: El-Rufai Has No Regrets For Abuja Demolitions by BeraBera(f): 11:12am On Feb 07, 2013
Well, well, well, it's good a thing he demolished structures that infringed on the Abuja master plan and brought sanity in the appearance of the FCT; but the area which Nigerians especially FCT residents are not happy with him is in the area of re-allocating some lands to his friends, familiy members and political associates, and the untold hardships he metted out on the masses during the demolition.

Meaning they are yet to determine, since Friday? hmmmmm

Meanwhile, may God continue to preserve her life and those of our good leaders in this country.
