I just uploaded my first book. It was well formatted. I took a chance on my table of contents and succeeded in making it clickable. I just discovered that your book cover has to be 1000pixels on the longest side and 650 on the shortest side for maximum result.
@mk. Is there any side effect promoting your book for just 24 hrs? Just thinking of how people respond to scarcity.

Payoneer card's arrival to Nigeria is 1-5 months because of our ancient postal system. All d cards u applied for will still come.
If ur books sell, ur money will accumulate with time n amazon will pay into ur payoneer account.You can then use $60 to order a new card thru DHL (if u can not wait any longer).
That is what I did.

I don't think Graphcard can be used for amazon payments because your name has to be on the check.

Post office is messing me up big time. I have applied for payoneer twice over 4 months now and I recieved none of them. Can I go ahead to upload my books and sort out payment details later?

hamlak: I have a US card (not payoneer) which I use online to get all my earnings just like those in America and Europe.
It is what I have added now to my Kindle Account. The only thing left is to make the money .

mk82: KDP PAYMENTS
You will be paid 60 days after you reach the payment threshold according to d payment mode dat u choose (check or EFT).
Example if u reach d minimum payment in February, u will be paid end of April. The only lag time is when you are just starting. After ur first 60 days with KDP, u will continue to receive monthly payments as long as you can cross minimum payment level each month. Jan money is paid in March, Feb paid in April,April paid in June etc.

If you are receiving EFT, you will get a Remittance Advice in ur email once your payment is ready each month. for dis November, payment is on d 29th. Remittance Advice is not sent to those that are receiving checks.

@mk82, do you upload your book cover differently from your book or you design your book cover into your book.

mk82: Books are ranked according to Amazon Sales Rank. Now this can be real sales or free downloads (during free promotions). If ur book is selling well, it will naturally appear on d first page of bestsellers in its category.
The other way to get your book on the first page is to have a successful free promotion.
On the bestsellers' page, paid books are displayed alongside free books. This means if you have a lot of free promo downloads, d book will appear alongside other bestsellers under paid.
This exposure will translate to sales for you when d free promo ends.

Example. I did a free promo for a new book over the weekend. It had over 2400 downloads in 2 days n rose to number 1 in 2 subcategories. It also rose up to #86 free in Kindle store. D promo ended 2 days ago n it has sold almost 80 copies.

@mk82, How do I get my book to rank in the first page of kindle books? I believe the books on first page would do better in times of visibility and sales.

mk82: The ordinary motivational book will not sell. I mean the type that is only about encouraging people. People are tired of being encouraged. What they want are solutions to their problems.
Go to amazon bestsellers,click on kindle then kindle ebooks.select d self help category and check the types of self-help books that are selling.

neksummi: I'm afraid I'm going to have to disappoint some people. For the value of what I'm offering, N5000 isn't too much. But I don't need an angel to tell me tmoonohat N3000 is easier to come by than N5000. But I also know that many people would leave a N3000 product to buy a similar one of N5000 which has a higher quality. So what am I driving at? I announced some weeks ago that due to the plea by some team members I was going to bring down our entry fee to N3000 so many people can afford but I didn't change the price tag on my website. I just gave the discounts to people who are following this thread and followers of my other team members.

Now these are my findings. Others that are discovering my site through other means are paying N5000 to join me while those I'm giving discount to seem not to be interested.

My conclusion: Price on my site will remain at N5000. Anyone interested in building his online business with me should raise N5000 and join us. Those who have only N3000 should find a business they can start with N3000. Thank God I wasn't quick in changing the price on my site, I for don miss the N2000 on those people who joined me from other sources.

If that's the case I'll have to update my blog back to N5000 so we can have a uniform amount.

This is my second time of applying for the card. After the delivery time for the first one elapse, without me recieving it, I got back to them and was asked to re apply. This one is bill to arrive between 15th and 17th September. Patiently waiting.

arbitrage: I tried to load/fund my Payoneer card again from my Nigerian card just like the first time but it did not work. Rather, the error report on Payoneer card loading page is that "Private loading/funding is not supported for this account." I guess they only allow funding your Payoneer MasterCard once from your Nigerian (any) card source. I wrote them and here below is the email reply:
