According to him, for leaders to inspire respect, they must obey the laws of country, adding that when leaders treat the country’s laws with contempt, they might send the wrong message to the citizens.A true Leader/General - Leading from the front. Finally, some semblance of sanity and discipline is about to be restored to the society. A New Order is indeed upon us. God bless GMB. |
shakazuldadon:He is interested in Arsenal because he is a FAN. |
Now, the only sector (Agriculture) that seemed to be working in this administration is now tainted with a N21B fraud. Will be waiting to hear their response. I'm hoping that it's not true, as GMB is campaigning for that guy to become the president of African development Bank. |
ok |
”I strongly suggest that the nation has to do something about it. It has been very stressful for four years, trying to cope with a group that controls a very important sector of a nation and they are small enough to organize themselves.”How is the Nation to do something about it? Is that not why we have an elected government (with so much powers) in place to deal with these issues? This administration has once again confirmed how inept and incompetent it is at handling serious issues. If it is to Show Force against ordinary citizens, it wouldn't be too difficult for these govt, but now they are acting powerless against a small group of criminals. Smh! |
“You see that the amount we have been paying year by year diminished substantially to about N971 billion a year down from the N 2.3 trillion of 2011. We brought it from N 2.3 trillion to about N 971 trillion that has been in the budget each year."This woman is just beyond ridiculous. So we should clap for your administration for bringing subsidy down to N970B from N2.3T, when we should ideally be asking you guys how subsidy went from less than N400B in 2009 to N2.3T in 2011. |
At least N1-2trillion can be extracted from these criminals through plea bargain. That's the least Baba can do, Jailing may not be necessary this time. |
MzJackBaueress:The difference this time around is that they have gone out themselves to glean the facts. When it was time for vile propaganda, facts were not important. What was important was the $$$ PDP were willing to pay. Shameless mofos! |
bigass:Nigerian companies/banks that operate in other countries, where do you think they keep or ferry their profits? All the billions they declare as corporate profits here (and drive up share prices), do you know the overseas component of such profits? It's just the way things are in a capitalist world. I respect them for being patriotic to their country. If Nigerians were that patriotic, then DSTV, Shoprite, MTN, Spar, etc wouldn't be dominating our business space. We would make those investments in this country. If we want to deny them operating licenses, then fine. But once we give them, we can't blame for offering relatively better services and getting rewarded for it. |
ECONOMY- Look at South Africa that is giving us problems today owns MTN. But MTN makes much money in Nigeria than Dangote Group of Companies and all the banks put together. Yet, they have nothing here. How can any serious policy planner allow such a leak, where people are allowed to come into the country, make money and take it away. With this, Nigeria will continue to bleed. So, financial planning requires Gen. Buhari to shed the roots and trees. He has to put Nigeria first. I had expected the Nigerian government to summon the South African ambassador and warn him that their businesses here will suffer if they continue to kill Nigerians in their country. Nigeria is a great country and I had only wished that the incoming President will fulfil his campaign promises. It may interest you to note that MTN is neither a Monopoly nor a Thief. They make legitimate business in a competitive market, and customers willingly pay for their services. These customers have options, yet they still choose MTN. If the South African government needs to be summoned for their response to a spontaneous attack like xenophobia, then the Nigerian government needs to be crucified for their response to an orchestrated attack like Boko Haram. |
chukwukamma:Ok bro, do me a favor and point me to any article, audio or video of him making the promise. I don't mean article headline, I mean him being "quoted" as saying so. I bet, you are gonna come back with that scum written by NAN. |

anonimi:Impeachment - which party is going to do that? Death - Be careful what you pray for! |
It is ridiculous that the @op came up with this mischief. 80% of the things on that list were either never said, not said that way, or not said by GMB. I'm even surprised he did not include the $1 = N1 promise. Go get a life son! You are stuck with GMB for the next 4-8 years. Better pray that he performs well, else this country is messed up for that period. Voting him out won't even be enough to compensate for the damage. |
literarymathy:I agree with you, but there is an incentive for the APC to try - They will control the Presidency by the time the tribunal kicks in. There are also talks of Card Readers recording about 600k accredited voters while actual votes cast was over 1.1m. Things are so bad in AKS, that uptil now the REC cannot declare results for the State Assembly elections. They are still trying to reconcile the numbers. |
literarymathy:True, but not entirely so. It depends on what the petition is about. In such cases of wide margin as in Rivers, AKS, Delta, etc, the petition might not be that you won but that there were no elections at all. So the looser won't be calling on the tribunal to declare him the winner, but that the elections should be cancelled and re-conducted. I can tell you that in AKS where I was during the elections, the whole process was a Sham. A grand conspiracy between the PDP, INEC & the Police. In over 90% of PUs, election materials were snatched and taken to the abode of party stalwarts where they perpetuated their ballot stuffing. For instance, no result of any PU, Ward or L.G.A was known by any media outfit (social or traditional) until when the final results were ready. |
“God has spoken through the people, God has spoken through the workers, come back and join your people to build your state. Now, this is the part that irritates me about these hypocrites - forming religious to justify their innocuous agenda. All the elections that were upturned by the courts in other states, is it God that spoke earlier? Or was God part of your grand conspiracy between INEC and the Police in snatching election material all over the state? You should be more concerned about GMB's desire to prosecute electoral offenders. |
“Returning the funds is a form of justice to Nigeria because those funds will now be available for the teeming population.I do understand the overall thinking here, but I disagree with the above quote. There is absolutely no justice in this! If a man breaks into your house and steals N100k, then he later comes forward (for fear of prosecution) to return N40k back voluntarily, is that justice? #JustAsking. |
rabbuy:There is absolutely nothing wrong in giving anybody a handshake. It is, however, poor courtesy (infact rude) to extend your hand FIRST to your superior, senior or elders. Let them initiate it, then by all means give them a firm hand shake. |
tbaba1234:And he was not even a Buhari supporter. |
Considering how many workers are in FCT and the total housing deficit there, this is very insignificant. Why can't government just repeal that bloody Land Use Act so as to spur real estate investment, rather than this benefactor game. |
My heart is with Manny but my head is with Floyd. The economics of the fight is just stunning. (1) Both fighters to share a bounty of $300-400m (2) Bounty to be shared 60:40 in favor of Floyd (win or loose) (3) Average match ticket price in secondary market is $10k-$15k, with ringside tickets going as high as $350k (4) Manny Boxer shorts to earn him around $2.25m in advertising revenue (i.e. company logos on it) (5) About 3-4million people expected to watch the fight in the US at $89-$99 Pay Per View (PPV) (6) All hotels in Las Vegas expected to be fully booked even with 50-100% rate increase. |
“You will not see cash call in the main appropriation, you will not see subsidy in the main appropriation. There are expenses in the main memoranda items that you are not going to see in the main appropriation. Why are all these expenses hidden? Is this why they rejected the request for Budget Breakdown by the NGO? I think these lot need to be transparent with the Nigerian people. |
nortcentrallord:The short answer is NO. But the real question is, should the PDP and security agencies be allowed to continue snatching ballot boxes? |
mrtidier:Employers might sign up, cos it's more effective for them to just have access to a small pool of already certified employable employees. They will save alot of money and time than trying to conduct the recruiting process themselves. Also, find below what they wrote on their blog today. I'm not taking it at face value, though. What Next? |
calebo101:Jonathan was rejected across the NW, NE & NC. We simply want out of Nigeria. We nor wan do again ooo. We don tire. We want self actualisation and we want to rule ourselves. Everybody go your way.Your brother, President Jonathan, said that the UNITY of Nigeria is sacrosanct - That Nigeria will never breakup. |
I was hoping to see a direct quote in the article attributed to the General. I would seriously like him to carry out this threat, though. Snatching of ballot boxes is the only game the PDP knows. Cripple this and you drown the sinking party. |
Mynd44:It's true bro. If three friends (A, B & C) start a business together. A invests 500k, B invests 300k and C invests 200k, will it be EQUITABLE for the three of them to have EQUAL amount of shares in the company (i.e. barring any other inputs)? |
Despite having a whopping 48%, the Bosniaks for the sake of Political Justice and Equity agreed with the Serb (37%) and the Croats (17%) to share every seat in both parliament equally. This is equity and justice! This is EQUALITY and not EQUITY. |
Billyonaire:The Terms Of References is not for the FG, it is for Buhari's TC. They are the ones to review FG TC report and make recommendations/suggestions to the new government. |
themilanway:d. Provide a brief over-view of CBN, NNPC, NCC, Customs and FIRS. |
