PDP and David Mark are waiting in the wings for a slip up by APC, but I'm sure that in time, the party will reconcile all interest and unite behind a single candidate. |
donpope1:Because the revenue from Oil is needed to fund those Agricultural programs. Why does he needs to use 'your' oil money for that? Because all the investments (govt share) done in the oil sector were funded by the FG using our collective wealth. In like manner, our collective wealth is needed to fund other prgrams. But remember, if these programs are funded judiciously, there will be more jobs created, more business oportunities and more revenue for the goverment. |
trino:You are still not getting it. I said my scores for modules 3 & 4 were 96.7 & 100 respectively. That means I scored atleast 90 in each of the games in week 3, and 100 in all the games in week 4. My lowest game score I had was 50 in week 2, and yet I got a badge for that week since my overall score for that module was 66.7. |
iceberg54:I do no think so. |
ademasta:Not mini-game, multichoice (objective) questions. About 26 of them. Tricky but not difficult. |
trino:As I mentioned earlier, my lowest score was 66.7 for module 2, and I even got a badge for that module. I scored 96.7 and 100 for modules 3 & 4 respectively and yet no badges. It's all fine, though, as long as I get my certificate of accomplishment. |
trino:Congrats man. My weakest score was 66.7 for week 2 (exploration & production). My overall score, though, after the final quiz was 93%. I got only the first 2 badges. Couldn't get the other 2, any advise on how to get them? |
ShowYourCertificate:I'm not sure anybody is barred from doing his earlier, cos PMB and PYO submitted theirs on 28th May 2015. |

To EFCC: In the last 5years, you folks have been acting like a lame-duck, only running around yahoo boyz and internet scammers whose fraud activities are not up to N100million. Where did you guys suddenly get the courage to start going after the big boyz (Governors and the Cabal). To Ifeanyi Ubah: Did you think that your publicity stunt of ditching your friends and calling for the prosecution of your fellow fraudsters was going to make you look like a saint. All the same, Change is here. Jail Them All. |
Dannyset:According to Punch Newspapers, PGEJ at some point had about 24 Special Advisers. I am not aware if that number was exceeded at any point. http://www.punchng.com/opinion/jonathans-bloated-list-of-aides/ |
ShowYourCertificate:Let's read it together again, It said "... every public officer shall within three months after the coming into force of this Code of Conduct or immediately after taking office" I understand that to mean that - after the Code comes into force, all existing public officers then were to declare their assets within the next three months. And all new public officers are to declare theirs immediately after taking office. My 2 cents. I'm not a lawyer, though. |
BuddhaPalm:I completely agree with you. But you see, CCB has 30 days to verify the contents of the asset declaration before gazzeting it as official govt document. Maybe, he is waiting for CCB to finish their job before going public - or at least I hope so. Could that be the reason why Yar'Adua declared his own publicly 30 days after swearing in? |
ShowYourCertificate:The Constitution requires the president to declare his assets to CCB before taking oath of office, so I don't quite agree with you on that one. CCB usually has 30 days to confirm if the information contained in the forms are true, which probably explains why Yar'Adua made it public immediately after 30 days. But yes, Shehu Garba goofed. Just like when he claimed he was under instruction to stop the AIT Journalist only for PMB to deny knowledge of such. |
I've never really been a fan of David Mark, he's too conservative for my liking. He doesn't like to rock the boat, he'd rather maintain a corrupt status quo. Thank goodness he'll no longer be the Senate President. Wish he didn't even return to the Hallowed Chambers. |
Rose2014:As one of the things he'll do in his 1st 100 days in office, PMB said he'll make his assets public. I think he should be given the benefit of doubt till that timeline passes. Remember, late president Yar'Adua also declared his assets privately to CCB and only made it public on June 28th 2007 (one month after swearing-in). I have been an unapologetic supporter of PMB since 2011, but will be extremely disappointed if he does not make his assets public in 95 days time. |
Apparently, David Mark sees nothing wrong with the current remuneration of the National Assembly. Typical PDP style of maintaining a corrupt status quo. Thank goodness, he'll no more be the Senate President. Wish he didn't even return. |

This is beyond ridiculous! The Niger Deltans always looking for someone else to blame for their woes except themselves. Ok, the oil is yours but how much did you Niger Deltans invest in the Exploration & Production of the oil? Was it not Nigerian money that was used to make the investments? If Nigerian leaders had chosen to make similar investment in Agriculture up north, do you have any idea how much revenue would be contributed to the Federation Account from that region? Secondly, you have NDDC, 13% derivation to the ND states, Ministry of Niger Delta, Amnesty program, etc. Do you have any idea of how much billions come into the region from these channels? Why has there not been commensurate development to match these revenue. Did you not have a ND vice-president for 2years and a president for 6years, how much did this impact on the fortunes of the region. While I do understand your frustration, the problem is not more revenue. The problem is visionary and patriotic leaders to deploy the revenue judiciously and drive a progressive agenda. Even if you are given all the money and you chose to elect leaders like Ibori, Igbinedion, Alamaesigha, etc, the fortunes of the region will not change much. Just so you know, I am a Niger Deltan. |
chuna1985:Yes, he said he wasn't interested in probing previous administrations. But he also said that - due to the sheer amount involved - he'll probe the 'missing' $20b NNPC funds. He also said that all probes carried out by National Assembly for which recommendations were made will also be revisited for implementation (atleast, in those cases he is not the one probing, but simply implementing the recommendation of the NA). That is the way he has chosen to exercise his prerogative, and I guess we'll all have to deal with that. |
chuna1985:That's great! But that's why we always have different kind of leaders with different perspectives on how things should be done. Your views above simply reflect how you would rather approach your leadership. Apparently, PMB has a different approach and so do I. (Un)fortunately, PMB is the president now and so his approach is more important than yours and mine. I am right behind on this one, though. |
chuna1985:That's the prerogative of the president. GEJ exercised his prerogative and concluded that probing previous govt wasn't necessary, just like he also exercised his prerogative on the presidential pardon to a convicted criminal. PMB has his own prerogative, and he will exercise it as he deems fit. Or maybe we can all play the ostrich - pretending like there is nothing wrong with the system, and encourage all public officials to continue looting with impunity - afterall we can't probe all of them since 1960, so why bother trying? |
Sacluxpaint:PMB said he won't be bogged down by probing of past government(s). He, however, said that due to the sheer amount involved, he will probe the missing $20b. |
chuna1985:Every country gets the Leaders they 'deserve', so yes our leaders reflect the macro opinion of you & I. It is the responsibility of any govt to review the activities of the govt before it. GEJ should have reviewed the govt before him. |
Nairaland has lost the number one spot to Linda Ikeji; who now owns a website we estimate to be worth over N1.1 billion judging by the $5 million offer Nairaland once turned down;Since after the elections, nairaland has regained back its #1 position according to Alexa. Please, if you have the time just click on that link and read the full article. With the likes of BMB in the national assembly, we may indeed truly have Change on our hands. @Op: Next time, post the full article here. |
In his inauguration speech, PMB said he won't "settle old scores". People, this means personal scores with folks like IBB, Fayose, etc. This does not in anyway shield anyone from National accountability. For the records, questions will definitely be asked on how our collective wealth was spent in the last few years. This is not personal vendetta, this is National Justice & Accountability. |
For the record, late president Yar'Adua declared his assets publicly on June 29th 2007 (a full one month after being sworn-in), even though he had declared it to the CCB before inauguration, in line with the Constitution. PMB promised to declare his assets publicly once he takes over office (not before). Infact, it was one of the things he promised to do in his first 100 days in office. People, It's just 2 days! It's ok that the govt is already being put on its toes, but we should not loose our rational sense in doing so. |
onyi4edu:Maybe be he's trying to send a subtle message to PMB. |
ok |
chrisxxx:If you indeed read the article, you would have seen a quote like this: "We have decided to take a pay cut and donate 50 percent of our salaries and allowances..." |
adeaks:Not entirely true. You may want to read this: https://www.nairaland.com/2343509/abdullahi-umar-ganduje-accuses-kwankwaso |
