The abandonment of GEJ begins. This won't save you from the impending probe for your role in embezzling security funds and the use of personnel for rigging. |
She was given the job not as Dieziani, but as Nigeria's Petroleum Minister. The new minister will take over from her, while she battles to clear her name with GMB for the monumental fraud perpetuated by her in NNPC. |
What I can pledge, with absolute certainty, is that starting on the first day of my Administration Boko Haram will know the strength of our collective will and commitment to rid this nation of terror, and bring back peace and normalcy to all the affected areas.I believe u Mr President. Very strong and reassuring, but please don't make it the GEJ type assurance. |
Olamitisoji:How do you guys come up with some of these lines?? |
some members of the panel feel that the position of SSG is too sensitive for an emotionally immature Amaechi. It's SGF not SSG. |
That 2nd guy...and the 4th |
Guess you are forced to say what you are just saying. |
whimpy:And you think one of the issues the Tribunal will adjudicate on is zoning of candidate?! |
barrnchedo:Using foul language does not make you appear smarter. Learn to get your point across with decorum. |
Nice one, never thought of that. The leadership of the party should be dominated by SS & SE. |
Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom). How can they have over 70% voter turnout when the national average is 35-45%. How can APC have less than 10%of of votes cast when the national average for best loosers is 30-48%. The scale of rigging & intimidation that I saw was just disgraceful. |
xtervaganza:Now, those are some strong words there - a blow below the belt. As someone from that region, it pains me to admit that you are right. |
FreeGlobe:You have to give some respect to the professor, he conducted the 2011 elections which GEJ won. You must admit that PDP is really unpopular right now, that is why they are loosing their previously controlled territories. Don't get emotional dear, Nigerians have tolerated PDP for 16yrs, and they took it 4 granted. Now they are paying the price. |
Amadi should not try to pre-empt the General. We voted for Change, and if the president deems it fit to make adjustments to existing policies - so be it. Afterall, one of Yar'Adua first assignment in office was to cancel the sale of refinery by Obasanjo to Dangote/Otedola. |
FreeGlobe:There is nothing wrong in you wanting Okorocha out of Douglas House, but your "whatever it takes" mentality is really wrong. PDP needs to reduce its desperation and start focusing on persuasion, else the new era we are entering will be very difficult for them. Remember, election is a game of numbers. If not enough people share your sentiments, then you have to accept the decision of the majority. |
all4gud:Rochas is an incumbent governor, so the dynamics are slightly different. |
asdfjklhaha:Agree. OP said current governor is also there...looks like Jonah Jang of Plateau is second from left (standing) |
![]() Akwa Ibom- How can PDP Udom Emmanuel get a whopping 996, 071 votes to 89, 865 to Umana Okon. 91% win. That's preposterous! When I first saw these pattern of results in the presidential elections from SS & SE, I was worried but excused it on the deep-seated religious/regional sentiments against GMB. But to see these kind of results again in the gubernatorial & HOA elections, where the contestants are all sons of the soil, is beyond ridiculous (for instance, there is no way Umana would not get atleast 30% of votes in Akwa Ibom). Pls note that the national average for best loosers in this election is about 30-48%. Add that to the crazy voter turnout of over 70% recorded in those regions, when the national average is 35-45%. These SS results are clearly OUTLIERS. In any case, PDP has been relegated to a Regional Party. Unlike the oppositon that has always had a rallying point like Tinubu & Buhari, PDP is no man's business and therefore likely to go into oblivion by 2019. Remember, by then they won't have control of the security agencies which they have always used in perpetuating rigging in those regions. |
I'll speak about Akwa Ibom & Rivers States, since those are the only ones I've heard calls for cancellation. First of all, it is not just APC calling for cancellation of elections. Atleast 3 parties in each of those states have also confirmed gross irregularities and thus called for cancellation. Even int'l observers have called for cancellation in Rivers. Secondly, there is a pattern in those states that is not consistent with the National Average(NA). Voter turnout in each of those states is over 70% while the NA is 40-50%. Also, the APC in those states have less than 10% of votes while the NA for best loosers is 30-48%. |
Big big fan of the Clintons. Best of luck ma'am. |
LRNZH:OBJ hatched that job. (un)fortunately, he is still a beneficiary of that arrangement due to his new found love with APC. The looser is PDP. |
Opinedecandid:Hold your peace bro. Enjoy your victory while it lasts, for it will be short-lived. |
Even if PDP were to win Akwa Ibom State, it would not be by that ridiculous margin. Akpabio tends to overdo everything, and this might just backfire. Remember, no more PDP govt in Aso Rock to influence judges & security agencies once the tribunal begins. Enjoy your victory while it last. |
The way the elections were characterized by irregularities in the state just shows the animalistic desperation of Gov Akpabio. I am consoled by GMB position on the prosecution of electoral offenders including former governors & security personnel. There is no more PDP in Aso Rock to save you guys from what is coming. |
I expect atleast 19/29 from APC. I have observed that no SS state is on that analysis. A familiar disturbing pattern reminiscent of the presidential elections, where no results from any PU is made public until all the results are fully "cooked". This is evidence of a really backward society. Sadly I'm from that region. |
I can virtually tell you when, how and involving whom the next big move out of APC will be.I'm waiting to hear specifics based on ur above claim. Meanwhile, I agree with most of what u wrote there - great analysis. |
Reference:You are getting it all wrong man. Then they were the oppositon and needed all the help they could get. Those who defected back then actually helped the party to success, and it was a huge risk leaving the ruling party. Those defecting now are merely gold-diggers who want to enjoy the sweat of others or be shielded from the impending probe. |
APC 1 - PDP 0 |
Fair enough. 1-1 (draw) |
Even if they decamp to APC, please make sure they are not given any position of note - make them irrelevant. Coming to reap where they did not sow, after all their vile propaganda & divisive politics. |
Rather than advise politicians to stop defecting, I think you should instead raise the bar and make the process of defecting to ur party stringent. |
