Forgiven! However, never disrespect the People's General ever again - EVER! #TeamGMB2015 |
BokoHaramm:Who asked him to — PDP? Is INEC complaining? |
RevDesmondJuju:Just listen to yourself! Does your clueless boss have any modicum of both? |
Adamu Mu'azu, call your boys to order. We can't be intimidated though. #TeamGMB2015 |

Never! #TeamGMB all the way. |
I do think it would make more sense for the PDP to approach the Law Court - If they believe they have a case (which obviously they dont) , rather than hope to convict Buhari in the court of Public Opinion. # TeamGMB seem to have their mind made up already, so they can't sway us. |
Every authoritative source I have read (including Wikipedia) says that after Shehu Shagari was overthrown through a coup by some mid level officers, GMB was invited (as the most senior military officer) to lead the military government. Never is it said that Buhari plotted any coup or overthrew any government. |
Vicotex:How convenient a time to attempt (or appear) to fight corruption. Hoping to neutralize the ANTI-CORRUPTION toga of GMB. Too little too late Boss. #TeamGMB2015 |
PerfumeRepublik:At the time, GMB was a military head of state. Most of the cabinet members were high ranking military officers - of which very few were female, so the then disproportion is understandable. |
MadCow1:Very dispassionate! Couldn't agree more. |
duni04:'only a few people are allowed to import...' Why is the government allowing only a few people to import? '...in a fully liberalised downstream sector' The government seems to think that subsidy removal and full liberalization are synonymous. If the govt was genuinely interested in fully liberalizing the sector, passing the PIB would be a significant first step., as price deregulation is only a small component of full liberalization. |
duni04:I completely agree with you on the stability issue as it concerns PMS. However, if your point regarding enjoying N60-N80 petrol was valid, then why am I not enjoying such price differential in AGO which you and I know it's not subsidized. If the price of AGO does not reflect market realities even after complete removal of subsidy, what is the guarantee that the price of PMS will do so upon full deregulation. The government seems to still FIX prices even after deregulation. Just curious. |
duni04:I've considered that view. However, naira has devalued less than 15% while crude oil price has dropped more than 50%. So it doesn't even out. You may also wish to note that according to PPPRA website, the landing cost (including all logistics) of petrol is less than N98. So at this time, the FG is not spending a dime in petrol subsidy, apart from all the extra margin they make from AGO. |
vanunu:Diesel (AGO) has no subsidy. Why has the pump price not adjusted to reflect the current realities in the crude oil market just like every other sane country is experiencing. Pump price stays the same even after crude oil price has gone down by more than 50%. An economic explanation from your government will help, cos I'm lost. You should be more worried about corruption and not subsidy removal. Just so u know, as an economist I am not a fan of subsidy. |
I don't see you talking about the how many million non Igbos killed by Ndi Igbos in that same war o!
