Career › Re: Kaigama Says Federal Government Of Nigeria Must Revisit Minimum Wage. by Bevista:
I understand the plight of labour. However, this looks to me not economically feasible at the moment, irrespective of the govt we have in Aso Rock by may 29th.

Remember, oil price is still around 50/bbl (most state govts are currently owing, even at the current salary scale).

There is also the issue of inflation. Without much growth and production, prices will simply climb back up and negate the impact of the wage increase. So while you may be better off in Nominal terms, in Real terms you are still stagnant if not worse.

Also, please we cannot keep spending all our budget on recurrent expenditure, when there is a huge infrastructural deficit (remember not all of us are employed by govt).

Politics › Re: Finally, Nigerian Troops Bombard Sambisa Forest by Bevista:
mrofficial:
Why are they just doing that now?
To score cheap electoral point.

Suddenly (within one month) , petrol price have come down, clueless visits Maiduguri, forensic audit report of NNPC submitted, rickety trains commissioned, sambisa forest bombarded, etc.

These are all issues people have been raising for ages. How befitting a time to start dealing with them.

Too little too late Boss. My mind has been pretty much made up - you are going back to Otuoke.

GMB pulling massive crowd since 2003. What baffles me is the cult following this man has even when he does not have a dime to pay anybody.

I dare say that there is no Nigerian currently alive (who does not hold any political office and does not have money) who can match the General's street following.

Come feb14th, I'm righting the wrong of April 2011.

I'm more interested in the man who can solve domestic problems, not one who will speak grammar or dance atilogwu at UN.

insecurity, unemployment, corruption, poverty, infrastructure, etc. Just stay back @ home and solve all these problems. Who cares about UN.

In any case, he's fully capable. He's even more articulate and more presidential than the fisherman who can't speak without fidgeting his hands or reading from a paper. We've also got the even more capable Osinbanjo, just in case.

HIGHESTPOPORI:
I didn't vote in 2011,so after seeing d propaganda by Apc and their desperation for Power,I had to get my PVC so I can vote for GEJ to complete is transformation agenda till 2019.This country is for all of us,nobody has a birthright to rule others!
No. Somebody has the birthright to rule others, and his name is Jonathan.

For the record, it's not about whether anybody has the right to rule others, it's about Nigerians having the right to vote out a non performing government.

This man will go down as the most irresponsible and inept president Nigeria has ever had.

Trust this man at your peril. If he said all those things a while ago and today he is acting aloof, then this man does not have any modicum of credibility & integrity.

He talks about Almajiri schools, but refuses to tell Nigerians that the UK govt provided £250m for that project.

I can't wait for February 14th.

“The attempt to denigrate the Presidency of Nigeria and drag it down the cesspit of vile propaganda and rumour mongering is unfortunate and signpost’s the APC’s disregard for our revered institutions.
Oh really?? Who started 'vile propaganda'? Is it APC that tried to disregard and denigrate our revered Military institution? Is it APC that spent millions of naira on smear campaign in the front page of dailies? Is it APC that paid for one hour airtime on a TV station just to show documentary of vile propaganda against another candidate?

Please!

This press statement convinces me that you are indeed feeling the heat and pressure. You know you are powerless against the wave that is coming. You cannot dare try to postpone the elections.

Get used to it boss, a New Order is upon us.

I take it that we are saying the same things - just different perspectives.

Some predictions come true...some don't. It is possible that the paper votes might translate to field votes. It is also possible that it might not.

i agree with dear.but theory is different from practical.
Nigeria won d AFCON against wat d pundits/bookmakers wrote.
SA is out of ds AFCON even as favourites

that also explains the diff btw policy formulation n implementation

The vast majority of bookmakers had their bet on Spain winning the 2010 world cup...it so happened. Germany was also the favorite with the bookies in 2014..it so happened.

My point...win some, loose some... you never know.

Everything is conspiring (rightly so) against the PDP and GEJ.

My very close pal (a staunch supporter of GEJ) had to admit to me recently that the only way GEJ can win the February poll is by massive rigging with the aid of military officers.

I can imagine how the PDP must be feeling right now that their only hope has been buried.
