Christianity Etc › Re: My Experience At Church Service In Germany by bezimo(m): 7:49pm On May 22, 2016
Schwartz:
Hello All. Here is my experience at Church in Germany. So far I have attended 3 different churches in different cities here and I love it. This are churches by whites. Though there are one or two Naija churches around but personally I love this ones. I saw a lot of differences cheesy

No loud speakers outside: The norm has been during service, churches put on loud speakers outside so the neighborhood of the church hears every thing going on inside the church. To me I feel its noise pollution and unfair to neighbours because some times you have in one street alone in Naija over 5 churches blaring away. Here its so quiet outside the church building that if you don't get into the church you don't even notice there are people inside the church holding service.

Noone comes in gaily dressed: This people are so simple that they don't dress any different to church. If you don't have a nice Sunday wear no one cares. Picture attached was service today. Its summer now and people were wearing shorts lipsrsealed to church! Also sleevless floral light dresses. There were no suits, no nice hats, no bogus jewelry, no nice shoes, no Italian bags, no one with nice hairdo. Its was just plain clothes, sneakers and sandals to church. You can't even differentiate between the rich and the poor. I remember in Naija when I used to take materials to my tailor to sew the latest dress so i can wear for church service. I remember all the outdoing and show off by members.

The pastor has no hairs around him: The simplicity of the whites is amazing. Even into the work of the ministry they carry it along. The pastor comes into church carrying his bag by himself. Goes round each member to greet you with a smile and a handshake and asks how you're doing. He is just a humble caring friend you can chat with and he prays for you. He reminds you there is a table he has set for coffee, tea or water. There is just nothing special about him. He just carries out the service normally. He has no special name like G.O or daddy etc. I just cant explain the simplicity of the 3 white pastors I met. At the end of the service they stand at the door for a goodbye handshake.

You can say that again. Those white folks simplicity is worth emulating.
Unlike the typical black man with his show off mentality.
Education › Re: Courses You Must Go Through As An Enginner by bezimo(m): 8:21am On May 22, 2016
Though a Civil engineer by discipline, I was required to take thermodynamics and fluid mechanics during my undergrad in year 3, I never liked those courses perharps due to the bad approach by those sadist Mech. Engine. lecturers. Lol!!!

6 years after, I was doing my M.Sc at an Engineering school abroad. I took thermodynamics and fluid mechanics as part of the courses I was taking and realised that thermo and fluid mechanics is super simple. The mechanical professors on those courses explained the stuff in detail, illustrating with relevant examples, applications and videos but in 9ja its the opposite.May God deliver our students from bad lecturers.

It was a great experience passing through the 4 walls of Unibest. Still lots of interesting memories about my school. Having lived in BDPA community during my undergraduate days, the fear of Ekosodin was usually the beginning of wisdom, when you get into the place. You simply behave yourself and act wise. The place was so rugged that curfews were sometimes imposed due to frequent cult related wars between rival factions.

I remember one experience, I initially had in that place was when I sent a rug to someone to wash for which I was to collect after some days, when I went to get the rug.I was told by the idiot that someone else was claiming the rug and that it is no more mine.
Na wa oh, see me see wahala. All efforts to retrieve the rug failed. Then I informed my elder bro who was in his penultimate year in Engineering and pretty familiar with the ruggedness of ekosodin.

We went together and he demanded for the rug, without argument the idiot ran and got the rug with fear.It was pretty funny the way he chickened in.If not that rug might have entered voicemail like my colleagues will say then.

When you and your likes were insulting GEJ during his tenure it was OK then but not for Buhari now. Right?

Buhari keep demonstrating how daft and dull he is, and there is no argument about that. A president that is leading Nigeria with his ill-conceived decisions into hardship and retrogression and lacks basic skills of presiding over a diversified group such as Nigeria as demonstrated through his careless deliberate and divisive utterances.

Wisdom demands that you treat their matter discreetly.but Buhari is too dull to figure out how.
Politics › Re: We’re Not Granting Amnesty To Boko Haram Members – DHQ by bezimo(m): 6:29pm On May 11, 2016
STFUand4kMeHARD:
The Defence Headquarters had condemned online reports that 800 Boko Haram members had been granted amnesty.

It said the story was false and called on the public to disregard it, stressing that it would not tolerate acts of terrorism or criminality by any group

According to the DHQ, the decision to rehabilitate repentant members of Boko Haram is based on a United Nations convention and could not be considered as amnesty.

A statement by the Acting Director, Defence Information, Brig. Gen. Rabe Abubakar, in response to the report, read, “The attention of Defence Headquarters has been drawn to online Media stating that 800 Boko Haram Terrorists were given Amnesty. The story is false and has no iota of truth in it as DHQ has never mentioned Amnesty in all its statement.

“In line with United Nations convention Charter, which Nigeria is a signatory, The Defence Headquarters came up with an initiative “Öperation Safe Corridor”, this initiative is geared towards rehabilitating and reintegrating the repentant terrorists back into normal life in the society.

“Therefore, the general public should disregard these insinuations as the initiative “Operation Safe Corridor” should not be taken as Amnesty.”

“We hereby emphasise and stand our position that no act of Terrorism or Criminality will be condoned in our nation by any group. Please be guided.”

Amnesty is usually granted by the government.

Look at these idiots military folks, instead of putting them on the death penalty as its done everywhere in the world for their crimes against humanity, they are rehabilitating them so that when the need arises those terrorists can rejoin their islamic cause.

Which kin country be Nigeria sef, stupid military, daft president.

In China the islamic terrorists that wanted to rear its ugly heads were all executed, in the US the terrorist of Boston Marathon bombing were put on the death penalty just like other caught terrorist. In France those tertorist caught were dealt with mercilessly before been executed.
but in Nigeria we want to be terrorists rehabilitated.
is Nigeria cursed?

I Need Your Advise Please

I will sincerely appreciate a good advise from you all.

I have been in a relationship for 7 years, in this relationship i was in, the guys father never like me from the day he heard my name. My boyfriend then asked him severally even the mum also asked the dad why he didnt like me, but he was not able to give any reason.

Myself and this my boyfriend has had several breakup due to his father not liking me.

The third time i broke up with him was because he beat me up and left several injury on me. He came back to beg and apologize and all then i accepted him back. A time came when we planed to do our wedding, when his dad heard of it he never supported it. Our Pastors asked him why he never wanted us to be together but still there was no reason given.

After this incident my family said i cant marry him since his father has never accepted me. I was not able to let go cos i was thinking how i will throw away the 7 years of relationship, but not quite long my boyfriend came to me and said he wanted us to breakup since his father wont accept, i cried n cried but at the end i decided to let go.

After 6 months i heard he has done introduction with a girl the father like and all. after a year now the same guy is now calling me saying he wants us to come back together and get married, he said he does not love the girl he was forced to do introduction with by his dad, he said he has told the girl he didnt love her and cant marry her,he also said his dad has accepted that we can get married now. DO I GO BACK TO HIM OR NOT?

During this last breakup we had, i met a very nice guy by name Sammy he has been so nice and good to me, When i and Sammy met it was not up to 6 months before Sammy traveled out of the country. He was supposed to be away from the country for 2 years then he will return and we will do our wedding. Sammy loves me alot, he is a God fearing person but recently he told me he's not sure of his coming home in next 2 years as planed, when i asked him what the new plan is and when he will return home he said he cant say, Sammy still loves me and wants us to be together but i am worried how long i will have wait before he returns. And now my ex boyfriend is saying he wants us to get married. i am just confused.

What do i do please? I need advise please.
If you marry that your ex whose family never wanted you and who assaulted you.You are already a dead woman walking.
Mark my words, you would end up like the recent case of Ronke who was just killed by her husband from assault.
Your ex is not an option, discuss with your boyfriend abroad and tell him the situation or look for someone else. As a matter of fact that your ex is not Gods will for you. You've been warned.

This show Buhari is their grand patron, daft and a comfirmed dullar....

Imagine an islamic terrorist which has killed soldiers and civilians, destroyed schools and communities, abducted and raped school girls, bombed churches, bombed motor parks and killed scores of people, getting amnesty from a Buhari led government instead of them been put on the death penalty for their crimes against humanity.
In China when islamic terrorist are caught they are killed immediately but Buhari gives them Amnesty in Nigeria.

I give up!!! Sometimes I wonder why God created me and some folks in the same country.

Mamatee07:
No one is saying some women are not troublesome. We are saying breakup with them or divorce them. What if while beating her with a belt you hit her on her head or she fell against the wall and died? You will forever be a murderer and killed yourself. Is that what you want? Many of those who killed their spouses never planed to but that's the thing about domestic abuse it's one day the beating will go wrong and then you've ruined your life
I am not the one involved, I can never be involved because I would never do that, I believe there are other ways to address this issue without assault. So don't address your submissions as if its me that is involved.
However, you must be aware that not all men are gentle men and easy going who would want a divorce when unwanted behaviour is displayed by their wife, we know there are men who are not gentle and not easy going and these class of men may react by assaulting their partners when provoked by one of the triggers pointed by the Op.

Mamatee07:
There is no such thing in law and will never be . It's up to you to control yourself when some says something offensive

If a solider insults you, won't you control yourself? You would only hit a woman that you are physically stronger than showing you are a coward .

Many husband also verbal abuse the wives doe that mean the woman can poison him if she can't beat him or get thugs to beat him?
Control is relative and differs from person to person, while some men may take abuses and insults from their wives or react without assaulting their wives others may certainly not.Thats a fact.

Law or no law, when people relate with their wife, they are not consious of the law, they act on impulse, their temperament, and control ability.

Women killing their husband for whatever reason through poison and other methods have occured in our society so it doesnt follow if women might act in the same manner.

I am never going to justify assault against any lady, no matter the reasons but we must understand the triggers of such animalistic behaviour from some men towards their partners. One of which like the Op pointed is careless, abusive and hurtful words.

Mamatee07:
I've witnessed a case before where the woman didn't say a word yet the husband kept beating her . It's like the more she didn't talk the angrier he got. So never assume that all women battered must have responded.
That must be an exception, more often than not careless words were what triggered such violent behaviours from the men who did such acts against their women.
Family › Re: 6 ways women can avoid domestic violence. by bezimo(m): 6:04pm On May 09, 2016
Violence against a woman is never right and must never be tolerated, but it seems some women invite such animalistic behaviour on themselves like the Op pointed.

I heard someone say, A man that beats his wife is a fool, but the wife is the bigger fool because according to him, you know your husband is angry yet you continue to insult or talk back at him. Then he becomes provoked and losses control and comportement. Then assualt beginning by slap untill the wife is battered then she keeps quiet.
Later the cycle is repeated.

This is true, many may not know that the relationship between Pastor Adeboye and Bishop Oyedpo dates back to 1983 when God connected Bishop Oyedepo with Pastor Adeboye during the commisioning ceremony of Winners chapel, later in 1986 God sent Bishop oyedepo to meet Arch Bishop Idahosa in Benin city.
Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa then also became like a father figure to Bishop Oyedepo.

This is so tragic and unfortunate. I hope they send that useless man to his grave as soon as he is found. If you kill someone you also don't deserve to live.

I am not a supporter of divorce but I am strongly of the view that temporal separation is allowed in the face of constant assault from a husband. Some men are less than animals sha because animals dont assault their partners.

Like one of my mentors use to say to ladies: If a man raise his hand on you to slap you during a relationship, run for your dear life and never return because during marriage you may be battered and killed. We have seen how it happened to Ronke and many others.

What are you talking about, stop trying to create division between the SE and SS when there is none. Try to be sensible in your submission. The issue is that we in the South are trying to put up a united front to address and deal decisively with those fulani idiots you here talking Niger Delta and Igbo.

And rightly stated, our SW brothers contributed to this situation by supporting a tyrant leader who supports fulani evil exploits of destruction and killing in the South through his deliberate silence and "do nothing in response" stand.
