Ladies, If you were stuck on an Island by Yourself, and after a week alone
A man washed up ashore with a message in a bottle around his neck,
while he was uncounscious you broke it and read it. It reads
Kill this man for $1,000,000 or Be stuck with him on that Island forever
then you look up and you could see a ship in the Distant Horizon.

Ladies, what would you do? Assuming the man was Idris Elba

My childhood too was very very exciting too. I was very stubborn and I loved play so I was nicknamed the king of play. Same fate befell me though in my own case the girl was like 14 or so. I have beaten so many people and I thought I could take on anyone. On that fateful day the girl beat me blue-black nobody came to my rescue and I wudnt cry o. I went and carried stone o my brother na there e finish! Lol. The girl took the stone used it to break my head like 3 times. Nobody told me to run inside o. From then on anytime I saw the girl I wud be looking at her with bad eyes. I went to boarding school and got back. Went to university and all of a sudden we became friends and we laugh over the incident.

Back then anytime I f up, my mum and my younger sister that used to live with us wud jsz wake me up at night with slaps. My mum wud use broom the sister wud be preparing pepper solution for my armpit and joystick. After the broom beating they wud use the pepper on me omo after like 30mins of crying ill go and bath. Kai my guy I was very stubborn o. When I look at me now I keep wondering if its me. Cux I'm so different. Then my calling was jsz to make trouble.

There was this once I and my younger bro were alone at home. He was 4 and I was 6 then. It was jsz mum n us and we used to study the bible often. So we read about humility that morning. So when my mum left for work naw we wanted to practice it so my bro started by saying I shud go and get him water to drink. He reminded me of the humility we learnt about that morning with mum. I went and gave him water. Me now I come look tell am to go bring water too for me. We did it repeatedly till we cudnt walk again o. When we woke up we were swimming in urine. We urinated in the afternoon. Lol
hahahahahahahahahaha, I can relate to your story bro. You better no cry or you won't hear the end of the story. I know friends who i can't even remember their real names because the nicknames they gave them when they did something stupid, stuck forever.

there has to be some psychology to it because its like most of the first borns I know with just another brother are stubborn. It could be that you always want to prove yourself to your little brother. My morals back then was messed up. In my mind Only I was allowed to beat up my little brother, anyone else touches him and I loose it. I've fought in school, and beat like two boys that beat my brother, only to get home and get beatings from the mum because my school uniform tore.. and my little brother was eating his food like a boss while i was crying.

My mum was a super amazing cook, so Good that after eating at home, I would get to school early before everyone and then open my lunch and eat it before my friends got to school because by then there would be too many hands. I think thats why I forgave her for all the beating.

HateU2:
I'm not Tribalist when it comes to relationship. In fact, I will marry from any tribe where I find love. This is a counter thread, enjoy:

1. Education disparity

Yorubas generally love education. They have the highest number of University graduates in Nigeria. This is also the same for postgraduate degrees. Yoruba women occupy top positions in many organisations because they are well educated.

2. Highly accommodating

Yorubas generally are highly accommodating people. Historically, Yorubas have been at the forefront of the tribes who welcome strangers. They do entertain their guests even if the person is not from a Yoruba-spoken town. This spirit of warmly allowing non-indigenes to live among them is why states like Lagos, Ogun and Oyo have almost all the different tribes of people in Nigeria residing in them.

3. Adventure

This reason may come as a surprise. Yoruba women travel a lot. They travel for business, education and other reasons. In doing this, a Yoruba woman who is single before her trip might be fortunate to see a guy she likes.

It is very rare to hear an educated Yoruba lady say she would not marry a man from another tribe. The way she sees Yoruba men is also the same way she sees other men who are not Yoruba. There is no restriction in her choice of husband. She does not have a tribal biased mindset. She is ecstatic when she tells her parents that her fiancée is not Yoruba. She does not believe that this would erode away her culture. If a man who is her suitable taste comes to her, she accepts him. This is because she believes in discovering new things.

4. Yoruba Ladies Are Hardworking

A lot of Yoruba ladies grew up with the teachings of self-reliance. This is because at a tender age, they get taught about how to do major household chores and how to exceptionally take care of the house, the man of the house and the children. Every man want attention….

5. Yoruba Ladies Are Family-Oriented

The same way every young child is taught how to be respectful no matter the situation is the same way a Yoruba ladies are taught how to always put their immediate families first no matter what. They are brought up with the notion that a friend will one day leave but family will forever be family. This trait can make a man fall in love over and over again with the same woman who has perfected the act of keeping her family together.

6. Yoruba Ladies Are Very Respectful

The moment a child is born in Yorubaland, the onus of training is on everybody around the baby, not just the parents. This has made it very easy to inculcate habits like being respectful in the young child. Yoruba ladies are brought up to totally give obeisance to whoever it is due. The Yoruba culture opines that when a youngster meets an elder, she must kneel down to greet as a sign of respect. All these and more are why Yoruba ladies top the list of respectful tribes in Nigeria.
Yoruba babes oya support me before the 'bashers' comes grin. Marry a yoruba girl and thank me later. "You are welcome in advance cheesy cheesy.

Lagos does not have half the trailers plying roads as much as Germany or the USA. It is just that the Government and people of Nigeria don't care or understand traffic safety or vehicular operation.

Lol... Funny enough.
But left for me, I feel The Nigeria Railway Corporation will benefit more if a ban is place on Heavy Duty trucks during the day time. Most of these companies using the heavy duty vehicles will have to seek another alternative of which the Railways will be the best alternative.
Your brain might very well be thinking in reverse. don't worry though... its a common Nigerian phenomenon
which Nation in the world has banned Trucks from the roads during daytime. Do you even understands Logististics and the role truckers play in making sure you have many of the things you use daily?.

Rather you should have, heftier fines, Stricter checks on the Vehicles before certifying them for the road, Understanding that those trucks are in fact weapons too, so any form of collision mean, driver has lost license forever, Restricting the number of hours Drivers can drive to 8 hours, drive - 4 hrs rest. and Frequent Inspection stops for the trucks.

There is so much that could be done to make the road safer. Least of them is having them ply the road only at night, meaning many of the drivers can also have day jobs... then you'll start waking to blocked roads due to accidents that occur at night... plus many roads don't have street lights too.

Omo we be same people o lol!!!! Ur last story na me and my mum
LOLz.. Childhood was super exciting for me, I was very smart, sharp, troublesome and strong-headed. I could beat any kid my age +1 and below around my neighborhood, but I wasn't a bully either. So, since I was delusional about my own strength, and I hadn't been beaten or fought anyone in weeks.... I was becoming more and more arrogant. I was about 8 at the time, I didn't know what possessed me to challenge this 16 year old Ibo girl who was our neighbor, She beat the day light out of me. and worst is I know I mustn't cry too, because my little brother was there and my uncle, who was a little older than the girl. He didn't step in though. She beat me and when I went into my room, I closed the door and cried for hours. for the next year or so, I couldn't even look her in the face.

I remember whenever I was sent on an errand to buy anything edible, I would negotiate to get one extra.... like I was sent to go buy Akara, and i was given money for like 24, but because I bought 24, the lady gave me like 28. so before getting home, i would eat the 4 on my own. and then when I got home, I would also expect a fare share. Faith however had plans for me I didn't yet know. One faithful night, I was sent Akara, way after dinner, we were just outside, enjoying the fresh air. I went bought it and as usual, I ate 4, but the seller only put exactly 24 this time, when I got home, Mum was dividing it amongst us, and she found out it was just 20, she didn't even bother to ask me where the remaining 4 is, she just said come here and me not even knowing whats going on, she asked, open your mouth and say hahhhhh!, to which she smelled the Akara in my breath... She beat me so bad, then even gave me a letter to carry to school and give my teacher for him to beat me more and then when I got back home, She beat me again and for the next couple of months, no snacks for me. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

OP...your Opinion is just that, your opinion, Doesn't make it wrong to you, and it doesn't make it right to rational thinkers either.

but I have a question for you, Will you also tell your daughter to not have dreams, Aspirationshuh?

Society is built on the whole idea of wanting more, wanting better, wanting whats best.

Going to School and spouse selection are two totally different things. Making that question a prerequisite for your daughters is the most archaic thing, I've ever heard.

If I had to guess from most of your posts, You've had some class struggles, falling for girls who didn't see you cause your pants didn't have pockets and you use this medium to lash out at the opposite sex.

Its Ok bro.... your time will come wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink wink

when I was younger, I was forming big boy if anyone sent me on an errand, I would look for someone younger and send them. Faith caught up to me one day, I sent our neighbours young daughter Tope to go and buy me Lolli (i think thats what it was called), Its sorta coloring and sugar water, frozen in a plastic bag. anyways, the place was down the street, not even 2 mins away... this kid came back, there was only Ice in the bag, all the coloring was gone, Her lips was really red. I was furious..... and I asked her what happened. She said The Sun was melting it, SO she raised it up and it was draining in her mouth till she got home cause she didn't want it to waste. angry angry angry angry angry angry angry angry angry angry . i wanted to beat her, but her mum came just in time and said serves me right for sending her.

When I was younger, about 8-11 years old.... I would always be super angry, if we got any visitors around dinner time, or anytime we were about to eat... seeing as how, this unplanned visit will affect my ration. That visitor was dead to me... I wouldn't even acknowledge them... unless they gave me money when they were leaving.

When I was younger, my mum would always, start cooking only to leave me to continue... and when she left, I would sneek away to go play football, till when I saw my mum from a mile away coming. I would then run to the kitchen to meet a half burnt food. my brain would be working overtime, so I would pour the good part into another pot, scrape the original pot, then transfer the food back to the original pot .... and pour more water in it, and sit down and pretend as if i was there the entire time. my mum too would come, ask me even though she could smell the burnt food from a mile away.... she would still ask me, did you leave the food unattended, and my response would always be the same. No ma, i was sitting here the entire time, even though there was enough dust around my leg to make it look like i was wearing socks of dust...... she will ignore all the evidence..... and I will assume that I've gotten away with it too. she will even feed my stupidity by giving me food too...... not knowing that my punishment is coming when I go to sleep. she will then wake up around 1 when that sleep is in my bones... she will beat the sleep out of me.... at that time i won't even recall what I did wrong. Imagine ... this was a regular occurrence.
Next morning she would ask me, why did I beat you last night.... I don't even remember, but my response is always "I won't do it again". in my mind, I think it might be because I was snoring grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

I was sooo troublesome

Don't walk behind your parents.
Don't accept anything without seeking permission first, even when you're offered
Don't fail a class
Never forget to do your homework
Don't let the food burn while playing
when they tell you to stay away from somebody, they mean don't be anywhere in the same area
don't eat anyone's leftovers
don't ask for money from anyone
don't contribute to adult conversations
Don't lie
If you lie, never come clean
If you lie, always come clean
If you lie, don't cry
If you lie, once caught, start crying for the beating... matter of fact start begging
Don't sleep at Night vigil

When I was younger, like 6 years old, my mum came to visit the pops and I, in Lagos. the following monday when she was leaving, i was dressed and ready to go to school and then I asked my mum if she'd still be there when I returned, and she said no... so i started crying and holding her, saying mummy don't go... My pops just broke a branch of some flower tree and beat me once so hard!, the only thing I heard him say was that He was going to take Okada to my school and if he gets there before me, he will beat me all the way back home... I swear, that day, I don't think my legs touched the ground till I got to school... only when I got there before him .. was I able to cry properly.

I still hate him for it till today.
