illicit: Are you kidding me?! A teaching job that pays 80k cfa which is roughly 80k naira monthly, yet house rent for a self contained room is 30k monthly which amounts to 360k annually worse still, the skyline I saw looks no different like that of Ibadan That's crazy and not worth the trouble. Little wonder the country ranks so low on HDI. 1 Like |

CandyOps: Don't mind these guys, I just dey pity their ignorance. The menace of drugs is worse in the SW and parts of North, especially NW than whatever is happening in the SE. The only difference is that Igbos have kindred spirit. While others chose to ignore the drug epidemic ravaging their region, Igbos on the hand are massively fighting it through awareness and other measures. In Lagos, many youths would be seen shouting and dancing violently in the streets and everybody will be going on their business. Same thing in Kano where it has rendered so many youths useless. 2 Likes |

christistruth01: Shameless two-faced dishonest people. This discussion has nothing to do with yoruba so why are we constituting nuisance here? Imagine this empty coconut head, same Ijaws that are notorious for their landgrabbing, militancy and pirate activities are now peaceful people? Same Ijaws that fighting almost all the ethnic groups in the Niger Delta over other people's lands are now good neighbors according to this yoruba boy? Continue showing the world how dishonest you people are. Shame!! 3 Likes |

I'm in the East and I own businesses, when we sit at home doesn't mean we don't do business totally, we still run some businesses remotely, especially if it does not have to involve moving goods around physically. Igboid: Their entire historical claims were all mere fabrications, and the funny thing is that they actually thought they were factual Imagine "eighty bucks" as cost of a foreign cloth eventually became an ijaw word "etibo" and now used as their native attire Same with "Ama-onye-nabo" an Igbo phrase for two Igbo Kings in Bonny eventually became "Amanyanabo"which they now claim is an ijaw title for king Iswearigad the kai-kai these guys are taking is seriously messing them up 11 Likes 1 Share |

GreatBoss: The moment anyone starts throwing insults just know they've lost the argument. If the great Igbo race that were acknowledged by foreigners as far back as 1700's and have continued to make exploits in all spheres of life are useless then I wonder what kai-kai drinking, lazy and delinquent ijaws would be called. Yes, today you're from Bonny, tomorrow from Opobo, depending on where the argument is. If you like claim that Ama-onye-nabo is ijaw title or coerce the indigenes join IYC or to learn ijaw language, it changes nothing in the grand scheme of things because history has already been established that they're Igbos since ancient of days. Of course, there are ijaws in Opobo and Bonny but they're settlers! You all will eventually return to Bayelsa. 14 Likes |

Ekealterego: That guy you quoted is full of hubris with no substance. He will just fill everywhere with meaningless trash, even going as far as quoting an ijaw local champion in the person of Alagoa. I stopped taking him serious when he ignored neutral reports of recorded history, dating as far back as the 1700's only to be quoting fantasies from ijaw ethnocentric writers like Alagoa. DitariDisciple2: You're obviously neither intelligent nor smart. If belonging to IYC is the argument you will bring forward when the Igbos will be bringing classified information by neutral whites dating back to the 1700's with all them emphasising that Opobo and Bonny are Igbo territories, then the joke is on you! You've already lost the debacle and from the looks of things, you have nothing to prove that ijaws have any stake in both Opobo and Bonny except word of mouth Since you guys want to reduce it to "your words against mine" confrontation, after shouting match, it is the evidence that actually matters and Igbos already have it 13 Likes 2 Shares |

Ekealterego: Wow, this is so incredible!!! So, all the recorded accounts by neutral White people from different nations throughout history asserted that Opobo and Bonny are Igbo territories yet ijaws are today fighting to landgrab those places??! Well, thank God for these irrefutable facts, at least they would serve as exhibits at the right time. We will forcefully maintain the dignity and heritage of the Opobo and Bonny indigenes as bonafide Igbos, and there is nothing the "teeth filing cannibals" will do about it. If they go to court, they're bound to lose woefully and if they want to fight, it will even be worse for them. If not for these distractions, Opobo and Bonny would have been made a seaport serving the region and they would have become full blown cities by now if not for the wickedness of ijaws. Anyways, the people of Opobo and Bonny need to know where their best interest lies and be more assertive. 17 Likes 3 Shares |

I urgently need to renew my international passport but I keep hearing that passport booklets are not available in many places. Worse still, there are many that have continued to wait for months now to collect their passport without success. I was told that Owerri immigration office is "scam" and going there is a waste of time and resources. So, who knows which state capital one can go to in SE or SS and obtain his passport without much delay? I also heard that Abakiliki immigration office is okay but I'm not sure so who can confirm please? |

All these afonja guys mocking Igbos about mkpuru miri are indeed living in a fool's paradise. Why there seem to be an outrage in Igboland concerning this issue is because we Igbos have a kindred spirit, we are naturally communal. So when the alarm was raised about this menace, everyone immediately swung into action to nip it in the bud. I have lived in Lagos, and I can tell you that Lagos has since reached epidemic levels yet no one is talking about it. A huge percentage of Yoruba youths in Lagos, particularly on the mainland, in areas like Mushin, Oshodi, Ajegunle, Ikorodu etc. are already affected. That's why you will see these afonja youths always shouting, dancing and behaving like lunatics on the roads while everyone ignores them. In Kano too, Hausa youths are known to use all manner of things including sewage, provided it can make them high, yet no one is saying anything while many of the youths are wasting away. It shows how deluded they are to think that mkpuru miri is not already widespread in Kano. Maybe their elite even like it that way since it keeps them preoccupied. I can only laugh at those mocking Igbos for taking decisive actions against drugs because the joke is actually on them 1 Like |
