It's a free nation, thank God it is OK for each and every one of us to select which ever side we desire. It is amusing how boys find it very difficult to focus on the topic, there is absolutely not need to exhibit this infantile disposition. Instead of smelling big b1' balls, may be it will be more constructive to list why IBB should not run for president in 2011. The topic says:"IBB To Run For President In 2011: Your Opinion" not waste your time castigating Big B1. I'm not the governor of your villages and I did not chase your families out of Nigeria, please stay focused, have some self respect and play maturely. |
I look forward to this out come. We must also give the mighty terror a credit for making the trip to Abuja. Moreover, the despicable statement by OBJ few days ago doesn't help the situation, but we shall all see the out come before the end of the week. |
Here comes my girl friend. The topic says "Okiro Summons Adedibu Over Oyo Crisis" Wetin concern IBB? Folks are just purely obsessed with IBB |
You've got to give him a credit; It takes a man, a real man to invite this terror (Adedibu) for anything. Even if nothing comes out of it, it's still a message to him and the rest that someone is watching. Believe me, it may not do much, but it will slow him down a bit. This invitation also means, the federal government is getting sick of his mess. The next invitation (if necessary) will be more serious. You can not just sit and watch like a Dumbo (just like Ehindero), something must be done. Okiro gets my Kudos. |
If this was done 2 years ago by worthless Ehindero, things would have been better in Ibadan by now. But of course what Ehindero wanted to eat also blindfolded the fool. Leadership role is absolutely not for everybody. |
IGP: Adedibu heads for Abuja Controversial Ibadan politician, Chief Lamidi Adedibu, yesterday headed to Abuja for an appointment with the Acting Inspector-General of Police; Mr. Mike Okiro. It was in connection with the myriad of complaints on the political violence in Oyo State for sometime now. Okiro had a forthnight ago, ordered the controversial politician to report at the Force Headquarters, Abuja .This is to enable him respond to a plethora of complaints and petitions written against him by some notable indigenes of the state, including a prominent traditional ruler in the state. The myriad of complaints peaked with the alarm raised by Director General of the National Agency for Food, Drug and Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Dora Akunyili that Adedibu was deploring thugs to hamper her agency anti-counterfeit drug war in the state. Akunyili at the zonal sensitisation programme of NAFDAC in Ibadan last month, raised an alarm that Adedibu was obstructing the agency 's officials from performing their duties. The NAFDAC boss has pointed to the Kollington Fisheries which the Adedibu terror gang re-opened after officials of the agency had sealed off the company for engaging in counterfeit drug business. However the Adedibu saga, according to THISDAY checks, almost run the command headship into trouble as the police commissioner, Udom Ekpoudom passed a clean bill of health on the PDP chieftain, berating the Akunyili for raising unsubstantiated allegation against Adedibu. Checks revealed that the NAFDAC boss has protested Ekpoudom clean bill to the police chief which led to a verbal reprisal on the state police boss by the police high command. Ekpoudom last week through the command spokesperson, Bisi Okuwobi denied ever making the statement. Aside from Akunyili, journalists and non-journalists of the state-owned Broadcasting Corporation (because) last Monday petitioned the IG over the May 23 attack on the three transmitting stations in the state allegedly by supporters of Adedibu, where over 19 people were injured and money and properties stolen. Similarly, a former director of Odu’a Investment Limited, Alhaji Olawale Oladoja, whose official car was forcefully seized from him by suspected thugs working for Adedibu, also petitioned the police hierarchy, alleging assassination attempt and armed robbery attack on him at the Agodi Praying Ground after observing his prayer to mark the end of the Ramadan festival. In his petition, addressed to Okiro, the embattled Odu’a former director had challenged the police hierarchy to prove that they were actually championing the rule of law crusade of President Umaru Musa Yar’adua by investigating his supposed abduction by Adedibu’s boys, the recovery of his stolen car from Adedibu’s house as well as the twist in his case where he was later arraigned in court for car stealing and briefly remanded at Agodi prison before his lawyer secured his bail. Also, the Iyalode of Ibadan, High Chief Aminat Abiodun was said to have cried out to the police top hierarchy on the demolition of her 32-stalls by thugs supervised by Adedibu in June for her failure to support the political interest of the PDP chieftain. The management of Nigerian Telecommunication Limited (NITEL) had also petitioned the police over the encroachment on its land at Molete area of the ancient city, which Adedibu was said to have converted to his personal use as extension of his sprawling residence on the excuse that he bidded for the land during the privatization of NITEL and eventually paid N71 million for the property. The IGP order inviting Adedibu to Abuja then was contained in a letter dated October 31, 2007 and signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Austin Obaedo. Curiously, the controversial politician ignored the invitation, claiming that he did not receive any letter inviting him to the Abuja office of the police chief. The interrogation of the controversial politician could not come up last week as the police chief, was out of the country for an INTERPOL conference. Okiro was said to have personally indicated interest in quizzing the maverick politician and directed him to report when he was back in the country. Police sources told THISDAY that Adedibu was expected to have reported at the force headquarters last week Thursday but again spurned the invitation, leading to a formal report about him to the presidency. The source added that the presidency reportedly reached the former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to prevail on the PDP chieftain to respond to the IGP invitation in his own interest. Unconfirmed reports hinted that the former president visit to the Molete country home of the PDP chieftain was part of the plot to make Adedibu respond to the police chief invitation honorably. Though the two politicians went into private discussions, the former president described him as the father of the party was meant to boost him to attend the parley with Okiro. Adedibu could not be reached in his Molete home when THISDAY called but a source who pleaded anonymity confirmed that he left for Abuja in the early hours of the day but the aide would not want to be drawn into controversy as to his mission. Contacted, the police commissioner, Ekpoudom confirmed that the controversial politician was already in Abuja for a chat with the IGP. He added that Adedibu since last week Thursday was being expected by his boss but declined to comment on his refusal to go for the invitation last week Thusrday http://odili.net/news/source/2007/nov/14/204.html |
Not a statement from a true leader; more or less like a vindictive statement to undermine the progress and unity of Ibadan people. Leadership role is not for everyone. |
I feel you, let he who has no sin cast the first stone. We Niger Deltans should rise up to the occasion by being more political conscious, NO MORE BACK STABBING. Justice that is selective is demonic and there is no place for demons in Niger Delta.A very good one posted by Otokx |
I found that anytime you open your mouth, shit fall out. nigger!lol! |
unlike military rule I DO have a say, and public opinion will rise up and defeat IBB's intentions completelyGood point! So, why are you so scared? You should just allow your tiny vote to count just like the rest. |
Keep in mind that military regime is absolutely different from democratic regime (military regime is fully exemplified in concrete protocols, which must be fulfilled; while democracy allows room for creativeness). |
Keep in mind that military regime is absolutely different from democratic regime (military regime is fully exemplified in concrete protocols, which must be fulfilled; while democracy allows room for creativeness). It is absolutely unfair and senseless to judge individual by their military experience. IBB is one of a kind; He clearly knows what went wrong, how it went wrong and absolutely ready to reassemble things back to normal. Whether you like it or not, IBB will find a way and Nigerians we be glad. |
The secret: IBB works with nothing but the best of the best in everything. |
Electric and water supply would have been a reality instead of a long term dream |
With the amount of respect this man commands, 99% of the corrupt ex governors would have started to sing by now. If IBB was our president, Abuja 2014 would have still be alive. |
Do you truly think folks like Adedibu, OBJ or Delta militant will still be around today causing political crisis, if IBB was our president? Do you really think IBB would have allowed Etteh's crisis to last that long? Do you really think all these governors cases would still remain stalemate, if IBB was the man? No disrespect, President Yar'Adua is doing his best, but with IBB in place, we would have experienced gigantic positive changes by now. |
All human beings will naturally prove bad, unless some necessity constrains them to be good@iykrion: You're a very smart man. IBB is being watched by many and he can not afford to mess up. He knows that correcting things will be the only redeem. The man is eager, he has the muscle, he knows many and absolutely has the magic to change things for better and forever. Allow this man to utilize his incredible skill in our favour and you will witness wonders within a very short period. Let's face the fact, I do not see any other individual to elevate this country back to the top effectively and efficiently; unless you guys are ready to wait forever. I've said it before, I don't see much being accomplished in the next 4 years. |
I have a question for the admin: Who is keeping the score and is there a way someone could vote multiple times? |
You're absolutely correct; this topic has nothing to do with EHINDERO (a common thief). We should learn how to respect one another. I have submitted my Vote. |
@Mckren: It is a free nation, it's absolutely OK to conclude as you desire. This case is dead. |
Hell no! I will never vote for IBB, I will rather cast my vote for EHINDERO (a common thief). |
@RichyBlack: You've done it again, great job! |
Lol! At least, you're funny, I must admit. you really do know him well. YouQuestion is: If you don't also know him, how do you accurately know that I'm able to read his mind? |
You're getting too personal, I'm sure you must be upset. IBB is not my father, not even close. I can't believe how a simple question could easily got you twisted, but it is what it is; no wonder we haven't gotten an opportunity to witness an effective or ineffective president from that side of the country. FYI: Bad leaders also come with defective followers and I'm not sure which one is worst. |
I will allow you to figure it out! |
I wonder why lately we haven't seen any emerging president from these areas? |
Mckren is from Asaba, Iyke-d is from Enugu and debosky is from Owerri What a bunch of jokers! |
Good point, infact you've made some of my points for me. I can assure you that IBB will not run and his mission will be accomplished for him when the time is right. IBB hasn't confirmed any of this development. The man knows what he wants and how to accomplish it. Don't waste your time IBB is pretty much appease with himself at this point. But If a presidential election takes place today, I can boldly guarantee you that IBB will emerge as the winner with zero hesitation. Please, folks, do not get things twisted, it was IBB's choice to step aside. You will be a pure fool to think that at any point OBJ stopped IBB. This is absolutely inaccurate. Go and ask the real politicians, OBJ is absolutely not capable of stopping IBB under any circumstance (OBJ couldn't even stop mere Atiku and you truly think he has what it takes to stop IBB; you must be crazy). By the way, Iyke-D, please send my regard to Mckren. |
Really??You sound like a lawyer. It is not about the topic; it's about IBB. I'm sure IBB is older than Nov 8, 2007! Please, tell them (your folks) to keep it coming; it's a free nation. |
@Mckren: Believe it or not, the percentage of IBB haters are not much; this small percentage are concentrated in one box and make a lot of noise. This is the only reason why it seems that this group is bigger than the actual diminutive number. If a presidential election takes place today, I can boldly guarantee you that IBB will emerge as the winner with zero hesitation. This is also the main reason why folks are very nervous. Yes, IBB is not a saint and has never called himself an angel, but many still see this man as one person that can correct things effectively and efficiently. I don't know what it is, but something tells me that this man has something special for Nigeria; he's extremely eager to reassemble things back to normal. And I see no reason for anybody to hate; all you can do is to take that precious 2 weeks vacation from abroad and make your vote count. It is that simple! |
@Mckren: It is clear to me that Frag (a coward) is also one of your boys, that took time out to re-register (Camouflaged) specially to bash IBB. Message for him: It is a free nation, please feel free to bash the man well, well. It doesn't matter! White House ordered to preserve all e-mail Judge orders White House to safeguard all e-mail Administration had argued against keeping all e-mail Groups argue White House violated law when e-mail destroyed Five million messages are missing, groups allege WASHINGTON (AP) -- A federal judge Monday ordered the White House to preserve copies of all its e-mails, a move that Bush administration lawyers had argued strongly against. A judge ordered the White House to keep copies of all e-mails. U.S. District Judge Henry Kennedy directed the Executive Office of the President to safeguard the material in response to two lawsuits that seek to determine whether the White House has destroyed e-mails in violation of federal law. In response, the White House said it has been taking steps to preserve copies of all e-mails and will continue to do so. The administration is seeking dismissal of the lawsuits brought by two private groups, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington and the National Security Archive. The organizations allege the disappearance of 5 million White House e-mails. The court order issued by Kennedy, an appointee of President Clinton, is directed at maintaining backup tapes which contain copies of White House e-mails. The Federal Records Act details strict standards prohibiting the destruction of government documents including electronic messages, unless first approved by the archivist of the United States. Justice Department lawyers had urged the courts to accept a proposed White House declaration promising to preserve all backup tapes. "The judge decided that wasn't enough," said Anne Weismann, an attorney for CREW, which has gone to court over secrecy issues involving the Bush administration and has pursued ethical issues involving Republicans on Capitol Hill. The judge's order "should stop any future destruction of e-mails, but the White House stopped archiving its e-mail in 2003 and we don't know if some backup tapes for those e-mails were already taped over before we went to court. It's a mystery," said Meredith Fuchs, a lawyer for the National Security Archive. Don't Miss Magistrate recommends order for White House e-mail Read the court order (PDF) CREW and the National Security Archive are seeking to force the White House to immediately explain in court what happened to its e-mail, an issue that first surfaced nearly two years ago in the leak probe of administration officials who disclosed Valerie Plame's CIA identity to reporters. Special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald revealed early in 2006 that relevant e-mails could be missing because of an archiving problem at the White House. The White House has provided little public information about the matter, saying that some e-mails may not have been automatically archived on a computer server for the Executive Office of the President and that the e-mails may have been preserved on backup tapes. The White House has said that its Office of Administration is looking into whether there are e-mails that were not automatically archived and that if there is a problem, the necessary steps will be taken to address it. Kennedy issued the order following recommendations to do so by a federal magistrate who held a hearing on the matter. "We will study the court's order and the magistrate's recommendations," said White House spokesman Scott Stanzel. "However, the Office of Administration has been taking steps to maintain and preserve backup tapes for the official e-mail system. We have provided assurances to the plaintiffs and to the court that these steps were being taken. We will continue preserving the tapes in compliance with the court's order."
