[quote author= post=75342204]Gradually, President MUHAMMADU BUHARI is taking us to the NEXT LEVEL.

Why do they love Buhari? Or better still, why do we love Buhari? The old, the young, men, women, boy, girl, the strong, the infirm. Why do we love the tall man from Daura? For many reasons.

We have said it before, and say it again. It will take a while before Nigeria will see another political leader with such ability to pull an unsolicited and uninduced crowd like Muhammadu Buhari. Anywhere he goes, he doesn't have to procure the crowd. They turn out in their numbers to see and hear him. They will trek from Africa to China, walk from Cape Town to Cairo, all to see, hear and cheer the man they love.

Cheers to all Baba's lovers.

Politics › Re: Sign this Petition to End the Impunity in Lagos! by BigBashiru: 2:20am On Jan 30, 2019
Slayer1914:
Enough Is Enough of the Impunity in Lagos

With news of the moves to impeach Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, Governor of Lagos State, there is no doubt that the future of our beloved Lagos State is at stake.
For the first time since 1999, Lagos is entering the second month of a new year without an approved budget. There are several completed projects awaiting commissioning, and several more ongoing ones that are being slowed down.
This petition is by concerned people of Lagos State. The cabals behind the continued harassment and embarrassment of outgoing Governor Ambode need to be opposed, and told enough is enough.
This is starting to look like a throwback to the days of President Obasanjo, when unfair and illegal impeachment actions brought Governors down, just because they were not in the good books of their godfathers.
This is not about taking sides in the politics of Lagos, or about being a fan of the APC, or about Governor Ambode. It is simply about ensuring any semblance of governance of Lagos State is preserved.
When elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers. The good people of Lagos have had enough. Enough of impunity in Lagos State.
Governor Ambode has been denied a chance of reelection, but he should be left to fulfil the promises he has made to the people of Lagos: infrastructure, healthcare, education, housing, environment and jobs.
Lagos deserves better. That’s all we are asking for, that’s why we are asking concerned and passionate Lagosians to sign this petition.

You are dealing with Blacks! Unpatriotic Nigerians. 0 signatures on the petition. They are all probably rushing to Canada.

Africans are SPECIALLY CURSED then

atrocities you hear in Africa, you cannot hear of it In such degree elsewhere

Killing and mutilating for ritual

Accusing people of being witches and lynching them

Accusing innocent kids of being witches

Highly diablolic and backward people

lack of love for country or even his community

An average African is an opportunist undecided

Betray his country for a pittance

Most of its citizens living in abject poverty, squalor and despondency

infrastructural deficit is another story

and the list is endless undecided
Someone is finally speaking the truth. The black race is especially cursed. A country where ppl believe female pants will give them money, there are no cults in UK universities but they abound in Nigerian schools. I could go on and on.

Politics › Breaking: New Cjn Appoints 10 Dead, Retired Judges To Election Tribunal by BigBashiru(op): 9:00pm On Jan 28, 2019
The names of about ten dead and retired judges appeared among the recently sworn-in 250 election tribunal members.

PoliticsNGR gathered from a report by Daily Independent about the inclusion of dead and retired judges in the list.

A group of concerned lawyers from Uyo, who declined being identified, faulted the list of the recently sworn in 250-tribunal members as parading over 10 names of dead and retired judges.

They admitted that this would not be the first time the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has displayed this level of “cluelessness and carelessness in handling sensitive issues concerning Nigeria.”

They described “a posthumous appointment of anyone for such sensitive role in the country as burying Nigeria alive.”

The new acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Tanko Mohammed swore in 250 members of the election tribunals at the Supreme Court Complex in Abuja. It will be recalled that President Buhari suspended the CJN, Walter Onnoghen last week.

One of the lawyers told Daily Independent that up to 10 judges in the list were dead.

He named Justice Edemekong Edemekong whose name appeared as number 58 on the list and declared that the late Justice died since 2013.

Another, Justice Chukwu, from Ebonyi State and number 53 on the list, who was formerly of the Federal High Court, is also said to have been long dead.

The lawyer’s revelation also indicated that Justice Stephen Okon, a retired Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State and justice Okoyo Essang (number 56), a retired justice of the High Court in Akwa Ibom State, both made the list. Also another late Judge, Justice Ubiri was also appointed. PoliticsNGR learned that Ubiri was buried at Usiefurun, Ughelli South, Delta in 2017.

The lawyers expressed concerns that if such errors could be spotted at a glance on such a sensitive list and on the first official outing of the new acting CJN, then Nigeria may be heading towards doom.

“If dead and retired men are to sit on our election petition tribunal, then the APC-led federal government is out to drown this country and we vehemently reject a list parading dead men as members of the tribunal,” they said.

Politics › Onnoghen's House Under Siege By DSS - Acting CJN Swears In 250 Judges - Coup! by BigBashiru(op): 3:56pm On Jan 26, 2019
Punch Newspapers reported today that when their investigative reporters went to Onnoghen's house, they met DSS staff armed personnel and they were told he was not allowed to speak to journalists. This same today the acting CJN has sworn in 250 judges - Buhari allegedly ordered armed home arrest/ siege of Onnoghen so that the swearing in could be done without resistance. Once a coup plotter, always a coup plotter. Theres YPP, AAC and People's Trust parties stop giving excuses that they arent popular - make them popular - even Nigerians themselves dont want to be free from oppression. Keep praising Buhari - Sai Baba till 2099!

It is obvious Buhari is running a dictatorial regime camouflaged as a democracy. No different dan the cursed African leaders before him e.g. mugabe of Zimbabwe and Biya of Cameroon who want to hold on to power till they die.

Nigerians don't just comment on nairaland fight for a better life so you don't die in a motor accident, kidnapped robbed or die in ill equipped hospital. Ways you can fight:
1. Sue Buhari, APC, INEC to court.
2. Vote with your pvc
3. Take charge of INEC, demand to witness vote collation.
4. Organize formal peaceful protests across major cities.
5. Demand resignations or referendums. Did you know you can cause an impeachment?

You can just complain on nairaland or you can stand up and fight!!!

Cyberknight:
Well said. Truth be told, had I stayed back in the UK I wouldn't have married a Nigerian woman at all, whether someone already there or an imported one. The rates of the split-ups referred to above is worrisome. In the end we lean towards people from home because we want to raise children with at least some of the values we hold dear from back home, which we hope will guide them in the new world we and they are living in (and this generally works for the Indians very well indeed).

However, short of our being able to import families wholesale (again like the Indians and Pakis seem to be able to do), my feeling is that a 2 - person family unit from a different cultural background hasn't got much hope against today's highly fluid moral and cultural environment in the western world (gradually spreading back here as well too). If I were in the UK and unmarried today, I would not really bother about the ethnicity/race of any woman I was forming a relationship with - I don't think seeking out a Nigerian from back home is necessarily any guarantee of some stability, the way it was for our parents' generation. It takes a whole lot more than that - the deliberate immersion in culture to make the children understand what's expected of them, the occasional trips back home to see where "home" is, meet the family and understand why your parents fled and why you should make the most of your own opportnities, etc.
Well I fed this point back to him, the issue isn't that He isn't open to other races, he has tried that but it didn't work.... he thinks it's much easier to get on with and form a relationship with someone who is from the same culture, understands pigeon English, understands same things instead of him struggling to understand British jokes etc.
