Sex is meant for married couples. Any sexual gratification outside of marriage is sin.
Do not generalise, it's sin only in certain religions and cultures.

Those who don't have same believes as you are no less dignified.

This is evil
30k is 4,285 naira daily, you work Monday to Sunday.

Drivers would normally pay by COB Tuesday that's additional say 2 days, but with the present situation, we even had one just paying today and he is the last of 3 drivers.

Since partial lockdown commenced, we have bought 1 new battery, 2 tyres,1 shaft, gear seals ,2 oil changes and one is already complaining about linkages and ball joints.

How would you survive as an investor with loans to pay?

Looks like the business is back to normal apart from the absence of 3% for Uber ?
Pls tell us why you think so huh

I had stopped my feasibility study since the second week of partial lockdown.

However drivers are still paying 30k but often late in doing so and we had to relax strict weekly remittance deadlines.

Amen. Thanks boss.

The bolded part is why I feel really bad about the whole thing because where I parked is like a bus stop. I didn’t park on the road. Well this is Lagos.
If it was a clear layby, they had no right to arrest your car.

I stopped at the layby right adjacent their office at Oshodi and there was even weekday morning rush hour traffic to wee and they were all around every corner and non bothered me.

They were looking out for cars with 5 passengers or those that stop to pick passengers on the descent from Oshodi bridge inward ilupeju.

Perhaps I was lucky! But I assume since it was a clear layby it was ok to stop.

I parked somewhere on Bourdillon road Ikoyi to pee. I was halfway done when I looked back and I saw them with their towing van positioned in a way that I can’t fight it. Either I let them drive it or tow it. I beg to have it driven so I don’t pay for towing. After so much of going back and forth they agreed to take 10k.

I was alone in the car with the lastma guy that drove and I kept begging him 3k later increased to 5k, he didn’t accept when we got to their office at Sura, he said if I don’t do ‘normal’ he will drive the car into their compound then I can beg his superior with the 5k. I know better not to allow him drive into their compound.
Sorry bro, I feel your pain.

We go dey alright las las!!

That place is a no parking,no stopping zone

Was it an offline trip or online? If it was the latter You shouldn't have agreed to pay her any money, you accepting to pay is an acceptance of guilt in itself.

if truly you were held up in traffic which was in no way your fault. Your GPS coordinates will definitely be proof

The mistake you made was you did not at least communicate with the rider as the trip was going on, updating her on the traffic situation.

I never do offline for deliveries, no matter what especially since the day I couriered hard drugs without me even knowing, imagine if I was caught?

You haven't done anything wrong.

As long as your riders agreed to going offline with you,it's your car, your time, your energy, your fuel and even your health.

You owe taxify no apologies.

Not a good idea, except you want to use it to augment your e hailing returns.

You can run early morning kabu kabu and late night,at least that can cover your fueling for ehailing.

Running kabu kabu during work hours with all this goverment dogs everywhere is a very risky venture and also the abuse your car will suffer isn't worth it.

Insurance companies in NIGERIA don't pay up claims promptly.

The key word here is " prompt". I won't bicker up and down for damage repairs of lyk 10k.

Though it hurts cos such monies could b used to do some other expenses n not for repairs.
You have a very valid point. Settling claims in naija is far more cumbersome than it is abroad but that doesn't mean they don't pay.

You often would have to settle the cost of damage from out of pocket then revert to your insurer as appropriate but if you Noh get money nah better gbege be that o.

Who will agree for his car to be parked for weeks or even months in the name of waiting for insurance claims when someone hits his car?

On the other hand jammer will sort the jamee and go to his insurer and inflate the cost of repairs.

EducationRe: IPPIS: Nigerian Universities Misled Us Into Paying Dead Lecturers – AG by Bigleaf1006: 7:12am On May 19, 2020
Appswheel:
The case of ASUU vs FG/IPPIS is quite difficult to take sides.

First, the Universities are supposed to be independent.

Secondly, our lecturers are underpaid, now I just read that they are making tax deductions. So is it safe to conclude that the IPPIS was introduced to deduct tax from the lecturers' salary and to imagine that the deductions are not made from the basic salary?

I have some lecturer friends and I am not happy with the way they are treated. Generally, there is a need to treat teachers and lecturers right and then go ahead to address the many problems confronting our educational system. Government officials will always try to absolve themselves of any fault.

If I may ask, how are our universities engaging the undergraduates and postgraduate students now that they are at home...the Federal Government is not concerned about this...? how many of them have a functional e-learning portal?

If you are a student or lecturer that need a platform to distribute notes, recorded video and audio tutorials, get Q and A App from Playstore
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tolu.qanda
Aren't they employees of government, how will an employee dictate how he is to be payed by his employer.

If they can effect full autonomy and see it through then u can say they can be independent.

The honest truth is that corruption in our ivory towers is unimaginable.

Though I will agree with you that this goverment is only smarter by half and are playing the ostrich on this matter.

IPPIS isn't the solution to revamp our educational sector.we need to go the whole gamut.

You mean he should go back and collect the photocopy ? What could be the implication of ignoring it.
I done leave my photocopy with police once, but never cared. I have 3 copies in d car.

But the one that bothers me is FRSC

I was given a ticket because d babe beside me didn't use seat belt.
Ticket 2k they took the original vehicle license (I just renewed it that week). Told me to go and pay on Monday because it was a Saturday.

Went to first bank to pay on Monday , cashier checked and said road safety site or link is down I should check back next day.
Two days after I went same story. I tried another branch same story. Na so I forgot about it, but Fortunately i wrapped d 2k cash and first bank teller together.

2 months after as I was driving out from stadium towards Iponri/ Eko bridge, their car was just parking and they were coming out. So I was the first car they saw and just stopped me and the man behind me.
I was sweating inside AC ...

immediately they said oga bring your papers I just jejely brought out the ticket, teller and cash that it's bank network o.

The man say ahhh I said bring your papers u bringing ticket ? He now looked and said, oh we have arrested you before and u didn't go to pay na so he call him oga say see this man bla bla. Na so I begin beg oga say I no dey Lagos I just come back and na bank cos am, dt I filled the teller.
D oga said my money will be increasing every day and I will pay more to collect my papers.

To cut long story short I couldn't pay, till I misplaced d teller and spent d money.
I renewed my license d next year and moved on.

But I feel concerned, don't know if they still have it in their records though, it was 2016.

ThAts why I'm asking why you want him to still go back to collect photocopy
grin grin you really cracked me up,I swear!!

I tell you.

Do everything and anything to protect your money, or else....

I can't count how many times I've told my riders that I just started driving on Uber the day before, so they can direct me (especially ladies) grin

Me: Ma, I'm sorry but I don't know where we are, and the map isn't working

(Its a lie oh. I just want to be sure we are not making the wrong turns) grin

Her: Are you not an Uber driver? Can't you use your app?

Me: I just started yesterday, and I came to Lagos last week. So it's not been easy learning the ropes

She becomes empathetic

Her: I'm sorry. Just turn left

....and then the directions begin cheesy
You never jam the one wey go even dey more confused than you.

The last thing I can do in this life is trust a lady for directions. I don't know if it's by default, ladies just suck at knowing there way.

Will never forget one silly one I took to one of those funny estates around ilaje Rd.

The heavens was pissing bloody that day and the entire street was flooded, asked a guy standing by if it was ok to enter, guy told me not to try it that I should go round and take next street, silly girl told me not to worry that it was fine to enter the water like that, omo nah so I go enta gutter following this silly girl's direction.

I was like what dah f**k, thought you said you lived here?

I just off engine leave am for car,she by herself carry her leg enta d water like that her phone come drop for the water, nah so she scream, I Noh even send am!! Nonsense angry
