RuuDie:No be bank, Na im leg dis one go dey break. ManU should be able to do better than a Michael owen that even Blackburn shunned ![]() Eto, Anelka, Hunte, Hulk, even Ruud, are all better buys than a guy who cant sem to stay on the pitch. |
RuuDie:and this is where Madrid might have the opportunity to recoup parts of their money as they have a few coveted players like Ruud, Robben and Sneijder. |
debosky:as opposed to symptom of broken legs , and barcarantings? I think I will stick with the cardiac arrest. Na only once person dey die! ![]() |
Kaka: €67 million. Cristiano Ronaldo: €94 million. Benzema: €35 million. Watching them play in white together: Priceless. There ![]() |
eyonigger:na we be the carpenter for footballl and no sa we go dey hammer people. All of you will come to fear the white storm (part deux)!!! ![]() |
debosky:jealous because you didnt get infected ![]() Instead your stuck with cheap Vermaelenitis ![]() |
eyonigger:no mind me jare. Everybody just siddon jeje for their threads na im say make I cause small trouble ![]() El classico dey come, we go soon see who need d lube pass. e be like say una no know ur mates again ![]() |
Dr Kitaun:when you win 3 UCL in 5yrs, it starts to get boring as if there was no competition. We have only let others back into the game,m and we are now set to take back our rightful spot on top. Arsenal can beat madrid on the pitch, but yet have no UCL trophy to show for it. Even liverpool has done a better by beating us home and away. Every team loses once in a while. Barca are simply children given an inch that then took a yard. they would be put in their rightful place this coming season. Why dont you ask them where they were for the previoous two season when we won the league. BTW who is Ashley Young? Madrid deals with quality players like Kaka, CR, Benz, Ribery, Silva, Villa, et al and not some small boys playing in the premiership. The guy would probably faint if he was linked to madrid. No worry, when your club get a player ahead of us, then you can talk. <see me just dey find trouble across threads > |
SIMPLE! By outscoring them
That is what they say until we put 3 past them at old trafford, and SAF gives us a complimentary ManU jersy ![]() Man do I love us visiting old trafford, and turning the theater of dreams to a stage of Nightmares ![]() |
are u guys serious there's a madrid fan on this forum
Yes o! ![]() In the absence of the cat, the rat has been holding court. Its about time someone cautions you people as you are getting too big for your shoes. We agreed to let you win trophies, once in a while, but you have now taken our kindness for weakness, and our gentility for timidity. (like you did during the cryuff era) This will be corrected in the coming seasons, as we will let everyone know say you be our side kick and nothing more. ![]() My guy, eyo, don talk am finis. Make classico come, make we see who get la liga ![]() |
khanye:and what is the point if you don't win another major trophy for a decade? Trebles are overrated. when ManU were getting high from winning the treble in 1999, we made sure we brought them back to reality with a rude awakening in the following UCL season. |
Dr Kitaun:This is arsenal we are talking about and not Madrid. By arsenal standards, Gilberto was a galactico ![]() |
Eastbay:play ke? we dont buy with playing in mind. ![]() |
Jeophri:when what happens? we win all the trophies including the worldcup 2010 ![]() |
debosky:has it been refuted? beckford go soon go o ![]() We beat Utd home and away two seasons ago and they still won. . . .what is the point of your statement?dont u see the trend, final, semi final, , Q/F? UEFA? Intertoto? ![]() |
You are wrongly wired. Didn't Ruud cop the Pichichi in his debut season at Real Madrid? What won't people say here on Nairaland?
That is a testament to the quality of Ruud as a finisher, but you cannot compare his performance at Madrid at age 30, to his best years at old trafford. Check out his stats for 2001 -04 at ManU |
Dr Kitaun:Gilberto was a key player on a world cup winning squad before he joined arsenal. Arsenal didnot make Gilberto, he was a star playing at miniero before he joined. |
Eastbay:no worry, everyone has a price. Seun and NL will be our last summer signing ![]() |
HNIC:The report was directly ascribed to Andrei, and has been quoted by most of the major sport source, yet there has been no disclaimer. Arshavin has never hidden his love for Barca, even before joining Arsenal. I will repeat my advise: start scouting for a replacement in L1/L2. I heard Leed's beckford is available for cheap. He is proven scorer (be it in the L1 division )Cool downIt is not the number of players, but the quality of the player. Arsenal dont have a game changer; someone that can grab a game by the scruff. Those kinda players are needed to win championships. It would interest you to know that our biggest signing ever is Andrei Arshavin at around 16.5mIt is not simply about just spending money (or have you forgotten about betis and denilson), but buying cream of the crop players. Chelsea essentially got Ballack for free. Eto is not a bad buy at 25M etc. Arsenal in the past attracted players like Gilberto. While Arshavin is in the right direction, they need 1 or 2 more of big game players to make them a quality contender home and abroad. The performance of the team has been steadily declining. But, dude, last season(07/08), we led the league till March and finished only 4 points behind the winners.and last season ![]() If una no watch am, man city go beat you H&A ![]() |
@khanye no dey put robben for our team starting 11 ![]() We dey buy ribery and Silva for that side Xabi will also be coming, along with felipe melo Arbeloa na rotation player, na lucio or chielini dey come and we are only looking for an RB that is better than marcelo. |
mykali:dat kain faith go definitely move mountains! Ribery to chelsea ko, london dry gin ni ![]() They guy don already get locker for bernabeau ![]() |
ogazi007:no be ur fault na cause we let you win la liga for once in the last three years. The sun shines on a dog's arse once in a while ![]() Season go soon start and we go see who be the baba for la liga. ![]() |
HNIC:http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=658183&sec=transfers&cc=5901&campaign=rss&source=soccernet ESPN na tabloid ![]() You better begin look for replacements in the L2 division What do you mean by this statement?Nah you dey read tabloids See the people una buy Tomas Vermaelen. (GBP 8 million) There is no evidence or arsenal making a big bid yet this summer as a matter of fact, 3 EPLs and 4 FA cups ain't no jokeMates ke?Then you had big players and they spend money small small, buying players like henry, wiltord, Since the EPL commenced, the Arsenal has finished comfortably with games to spare above these non-starters you mentioned!no worry, na small small before arsenal be league contender, but now na UCL spot u dey fight for ![]() |
BinghiNya:Anything that makes you sleep at night. ManU missed out on good signing, accept it, and stop deluding yourself. Sheringham and cole left in 2001, Ruud and Forlan were brought in as replacements Jaap Stam was sold in 2001, and Blanc was brought in In 2003, Beckham left and Ronaldo was bought Every team tries to maintain a quality roster, and there is no shame in admitting that your team missed out on Benzema. Not signing benzema is not the end of the world, but that does it make it any less a big miss for manU as they need a quality finisher upfront (more than madrid who currently have a plethora of attackers and seem to want to add more). Short of Eto, there are few better choices left (villa wants barca). |
debosky:Apart from Ronaldo (and possibly beckham), the others were past their peak when they joined madrid. My comment was not made with madrid in mind, as arsenal currently dont have any player that would interest madrid. ![]() You cannot keep those young talents for long if you dont win trophies, and being cheap wont get you the needed reinforcement in good time. ManU's approach is more balanced, as I think wenger has taken his ijebu too far. You need to respond to the times. If cesc (and possibly walcott) leaves, the project will collapse. |
mukina2:siddon look. First step is to take away all the fair weather fans, who follow the player and not the club (na dem plenty pass) Then we will deal with you all on the pitch! ![]() |
Arsenal FC of Ijebu-ode!!! una too dey stingy!!! ![]() Look at all the no name players they are running after. cheapskates. Even Arshavin spend half season don tire. im wan go Barcelona. Francesca too wan go Barca. Wenger need to learn to spend money to be successful, else he will end up like Ajax, developing players for other clubs. ![]() Now they have become mates with the likes of Aston Villa and even city ![]() |
ogazi007:If you dream about it, you should wake up and apologize ![]() We go show una pepper!!! ![]() We go beat una ![]() |
Eastbay:na the mods dey give you mouth to talk. This thread is way below madrid standard, and thus you cant see us being active on it. When we have our new thread, then we will see who is laughing. Infact I might just neff this thread to get rid of it. The guy who created it seems long gone, and the thread is not relevant to current events. I dont know why the mod has a problem with getting rid of a dead thread and letting us have a new one. I though the point was to have one thread per club. na bad belle jare ![]() |
Franck Ribery Rejects New Bayern Munich Contract The Frenchman has allegedly said 'no' to an offer of €8 million per year. Europe’s heavyweight clubs have been put on high alert after Sport reported that Franck Ribery has rejected a contract improvement from Bayern Munich. The Bavarian outfit have persistently shot down all advances from potential suitors, especially from Real Madrid, and the club’s obstinate approach doe not sit well with the French attacker. The Barcelona-based paper believes that Die Bayern are now trying to convince ‘Scarface’ to stay at the Allianz Arena by offering him €8 million per year, reportedly double what he is currently earning, but he has turned down the offer. This could be seen as Ribery’s first move to show his discontent, which could subsequently lead to the player demanding to be transfer listed. Bayern had previously slapped a €100m price tag on the 26-year-old, while former coach Omar Hitzfield yesterday predicted that the Munich outfit would only be interested if an offer arrived around the region of €70m to €80m. If Ribery is eventually allowed to leave, Chelsea and Manchester United could find themselves in the drivers’ seat for his signature especially after Madrid look set to part with another €35m for Karim Benzema. |
We have gone to all the major leagues, and snatched the biggest player in less than a month. ![]() And somebody dares question our position as the top bow wow in football. ![]() Wey dem? Una no dey fear ![]() We don already punish SAF for his misyarning last year say im no fit sell us virus. im forget say we get perezillin ![]() We also dealt with valencia for thier rudeness in try to haggle over the villa price. Any other act of insubordination will be severely dealt with. When Madrid wants your player, you should be happy and gladly send him over, and not try to waste our time like bayern is doing. Ribery forced his way out of marseile to bayern, and will force his way again to madrid. Live by the sword, you die by the gun ![]() @dayokanu You better show your true self, and stop being a closet madrid fan, else we vex buy the entire bayern squad and use allianz arena for our summer vacataions. |
Ribery: Real Madrid or nothing Franck Ribery has confirmed he wants to leave Bayern Munich - but only to join Real Madrid. Ribery's compatriot Karim Benzema has already agreed to join the Spanish giants from Lyon and become Real's third major signing after Brazil's Kaka and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo. "I have made up my mind, I want to leave," Ribery told L'Equipe. "It will be Real (Madrid) or nothing." Bayern officials have repeatedly said the 26-year-old Ribery, who joined them in 2007 from Marseille, was not for sale. https://d.yimg.com/i//ng/sp/eurosport/20090702/25/315a59d37c122d6138ca6f89073a3571.jpg http://eurosport.yahoo.com/02072009/58/bundesliga-ribery-real-madrid-nothing.html |
