Real Madrid Confirm Franck Ribery Interest Florentino Perez has officially announced that Franck Ribery is another one of his transfer targets. Ribery is now Perez' third target after Kaka and no other than Xabi Alonso. It is not yet known how much the winger would cost Madrid, but earlier reports suggest that Bayern have slapped a €100 million price tag on their star asset Zinedine Zidane, who is an advisor to Perez, could potentially become a vital factor in bringing Ribery to the Bernabeu. The two have an excellent relationship and Zidane is known to be a big fan of his countryman. Real sporting director Zinedine Zidane has urged Perez to target Ribery ahead of Ronaldo, but Perez admits that the club have still to discuss a deal with Bayern. http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/87/germany/2009/06/05/1307081/real-madrid-confirm-franck-ribery-interest Hoenss: Bayern Munich Do Not Want To Sell Ribery & Will Not Negotiate Bayern Munich general manager, Uli Hoeness, has responded to claims made by Florentino Perez that Real Madrid want Franck Ribery by saying that the German club do not want to sell him. http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/87/germany/2009/06/05/1307689/hoenss-bayern-munich-do-not-want-to-sell-ribery-will-not https://i.media.goal.com/g/49966_news.jpg |
Manchester United could be tempted by £25m Karim Benzema Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has opened the door for Manchester United to step up their interest in Karim Benzema by admitting that the French club could be forced to sell the £25 million-rated forward this summer. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/manutd/5454940/Manchester-United-could-be-tempted-by-25m-Karim-Benzema.html Other clubs that have shown interest include Real Madrid and Barcelona. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/01418/karim_benzema_1418286c.jpg |

Juventus names Ciro Ferrara as coach. Ciro Ferrara became the latest inexperienced coach to land a top European job when he was confirmed as the permanent manager of Juventus. The 42-year-old was the standout candidate after Bari coach Antonio Conte, the ex-Juve captain, and Roma's Luciano Spalletti announced they would be staying at their clubs. Ferrara, a former Juventus defender and youth team manager, will step down from his role as an assistant to Italy coach and former Juve boss Marcello Lippi. http://eurosport.yahoo.com/05062009/58/serie-ferrara-handed-juve-job.html |
mikeansy:didnt you see the 'yaradua for second term thread'? ![]() |
MrCrackles:Seriously, am sure real madrid has enough fans to keep a thread active, and not be reduced to a 10 post per year thread. ![]() If one starts a thread, you need to make effort to keep it active until it gains enough popularity. The club deserves a new fan thread, and its supporters shouldn't be limited to one that was dead from the word go. |
chiogo:ok o. that settles it. ![]() BTW any free tickets dey? ![]() |
@Jesoul Chicago no get themselves jare. They seem stuck waiting for the second coming of Jordan. For the past 3-5 seasons they have been the 'up and coming' team who seem to never come up. All they do is make the payoffs, cause a few scares and maybe an upset, and no more. The back office don't seem to know how to build a championship caliber team. Now they are essentially in a long term project. DWade will not go to chicago cheap (forget about free when Riley is still in charge), and what they will need to give miami (likely include Rose and a few others), would set them back heavily in their bid to assemble that championship team. It is always difficult to assemble a championship team by trading for a star from a team that is also looking to make a run at it. Rather go after the lottery bound teams who usually have stars who are desperate to be in contention. |

chiogo:Paul Pierce DOB is October 13, 1977. He will be 33 in 2010 when he is possibly going to be a free agent. |
@Jesoul I said key, not top free agent. Lets be realistic a lot of those guys are going nowhere ( and definitely not for free). 1. Lebron - Definitely the top free agent of 2010. Everybody wants him, and if he leaves Cleveland, he wouldn't want to go to a similar team. The guy wants rings. Before losing him for free in 2010, the Cav would trade for all they can get. 2. Dwade - Will not be leaving Miami. He is leading a young team with high prospects, needing only one more star player - a big man. The only place he would consider is Chicago but his going to Chicago, apart from being his hometown, would be a step backwards in his championship bid . 3. Chris Bosh - The key free agent guy that could complement any of the other top stars to make the 1-2 punch needed for a ring. He is to Dwade/lebron what pau gasol is to Kobe, or KG is to Pierce. He simply bring in a super star quality of a different dimension. He has already declared he is not signing an extension and that means he is up for a trade unless raptor want to loose him for nothing. 4. Amare Stoudemire - The next key player. Another mobile big man that can be that needed side kick. I rate chris ahead of him cos of his often poor defence and injury ridden career. 5. Paul Pierce - at 33 and KG at Boston, he is not going anywhere. 6. Joe Johnson - The hawks star player is going nowhere. 7 Yao Ming - Not leaving houston despite his injury ridden career. With artest and Battier, they feel they have something going. 8. Rajon Rondo - Aint going nowhere 9. Tracy McGrady - Does anybody want him? 10. Josh Howard - Good player but more suited as the third option in a championship team. 11. Ray Allen. Not going anywhere. The current team still has enough gas left in the tank for championship runs for a few more years. |

Spanish Press: Inter President Moratti In Barcelona To Sell Ibrahimovic Any move for the former Ajax star would likely involve a substantial amount of money and possibly Samuel Eto'o moving in the other direction to the San Siro. In fact, according to tuttomercatoweb, the meeting between Moratti and Barcelona officials is taking place at the Hotel Majestic, where the agent of Eto'o is also present. The Corriere dello Sport adds that the deal has received the blessing of Jose Mourinho and Inter will receive approximately €30 million plus the Cameroon international. The negotiations will continue into the night, but a successful resolution is expected. http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/86/italy/2009/06/04/1306036/spanish-press-inter-president-moratti-in-barcelona-to-sell |
Everton and Aston Villa are vying for the signature of Leeds Starlet, Fabian Delph. Everton are said to be favorites to land the 19yr old left midfielder, who narrowly missed out on the England U21 squad for Sweden. Arsenal have also expressed their interest in the past. |
while Bosh can be called soft (but aren't they all these days), I think he is the best value for money if one considers all parameters like talent, experience, age, leadership etc. The league just seem to lack young quality big men these days. |
in other words, it is not possible abi?
zero probability doesn't mean it is not possible. For example, if asked you to pick a number between 0 and infinity, and I then tried to guess that number. The probability that I would guess correctly is zero, but it is possible that my guess is correct. ![]() |
Game 1 goes to the lakers in blowout fashion. I expect Game 2 to be more closely contested. The Magic got good looks but couldnt make their shots. Kobe was volcanic in his performance. Side Story: Chris Bosh is not signing an extension this summer, so the raptors have to trade him or likely lose him for free next summer. Possible destination Cleveland? ![]() (I actually feel Bosh is the key free agent of 2010) |
@enziga and when did the revolution happen in India, Singapore, Malaysia or South Korea? Anybody that narrates with relish the kidnapping and rape of another is sick. You fit the description. |
luvbooks:I read your posts (more than once) before I made my first post on this thread, and unless there is something else you would like to add, I stand by my earlier comments. Some might be willing to hold your hands so as not to make you feel bad, but I am definitely not one of them. - You shouldn't have dated the guy in the first place, as it was obviously a case of the preferable not being available and the available becoming the preferable. - He told you to keep the relationship a secret and you wanted to oblige. - Luckily you caught on, and broke up with him. Alas! good riddance to bad rubbish. Learn from the experience and move - He comes back and you are actually willing to reconsider? - True to type, he bleeps up again. Not surprising as there was no reason to think he would have changed. The guy has been consistent - Again fate delivers him into your hands and you decide (and rightly so) to kick his arse out. Thankfully no serious damage done yet ![]() - Shockingly you are now asking if your decision was irrational? Recommendation? There is nothing to recommend as it is obvious that you see the hand writing on the wall, but seem to have decided to waste your life on the useless guy. Possibly you feel the guy is a good catch, but then I wonder what your yard stick was? ![]() but like I said earlier, anything that lets you sleep at night ![]() |

Live and die by the 3. Seems the Magics are dying today. They 've had the looks but have failed to make their shots. |
@luvbooks You probed, and I simply told you what was on my mind. If you felt insulted I apologize. In fact, you are smartest girl in the world! happy? ![]() In truth, I couldn't care less. Its your life and you are free to believe anything that lets you sleep at night. |
