Ineptitude, negligence and insensitivity are thriving in Nigeria as we keep dropping on the ladder of developed nations. While the aviation sector is battling with aviation fuel, the players and stakeholders in the sector are not as proactive as expected. My flight to Kano took off from Abuja airport earlier today, at 9:15 am. Alas, the aero contractors aircraft had to be diverted to Abuja airport about 35 miles to Aminu Kano International Airport as it's closed for VIP movement/military activities. The closure wasn't communicated to Abuja airport as well as the Airline Operator by Kano airport in good time. How do you explain that particularly during this time when aviation fuel is scarce? We have since returned to Abuja airport and for almost 3 hours the aircraft is yet to fly us to Kano. All boarded passengers are not allowed to disembark except one person. 1 Like
