"When we ask our government o When dem go give us light Dem say na 2010, we don dey wait 2010 since then But now the waiting must end" --- From his song titled Light Up 2010 ft M.I Abaga. I don't think Sound Sultan got the recognition he deserved when he was alive. All of his songs criticized bad governance. The man was a revolutionary. I wonder why none of his songs was the theme song of ENDSARS. |
I love Atiku. A man who loves business and values education won't turn a blind eye when while murderers disturb the peace. |
These guys were paid to unleash chaos if GEJ refused to concede defeat in the 2015 elections. He disappointed them and conceded defeat. |
NaijaCoverBlog:Keep making and enjoying your money from blogging. Don't drag the poor dude into it. |
MadamVanessa:I don't understand his alignment with David Oyedepo. That's why I love TB Joshua. He stood alone and did what was right. I heard Paul Enenche pays a tithe to Oyedepo. My pastor who is a mentee to another pastor who is a mentee to Bishop David Oyedepo says he pays a tithe to his mentor, while his mentor pays a tithe to Adeboye. I wonder who Adeboye pays his tithe to since he is the oga pkata pkata. |
Clinghton:Did you even read the post before you dropped this comment? |
KehindeOmololu:I hope the interview can be conducted via skype or zoom? Or better still, eligibility for this job should be for those living in Ado Ekiti. |
jbreezy:Studying computer science in Nigeria is a waste of time. When I went for NYSC, I went to enroll for a computer programming course and a computer graduate came to enrol too. I was like : "Dude, if you don't know computer programming after spending 4 solid years in school, what did you learn"? He told me he knew a little bit of the theoretical aspect. |

Sabadon:You are comparing apples and oranges. |
ednut1:Googling this won't help a lot, but an estimate from someone who has recently travelled to Dubai would help. |
uchennamani:He didn't start his seperatist agitation during GEJ's presidency. He was a big supporter of GEJ's administration. |
thebosstrevor1:You get sense bro. As a northerner, I believe Boko Haram was actually created by northern elites. But if GEJ had won reelection, Nnamdi Kanu wouldn't have been calmouring for self-determination. The one Nigeria he was fighting for is the same Nigeria he wants to tear apart. The fact that he launched tirades against Hausas and Yorubas is what I don't get. Your candidate lost the presidential election, and a bigot was elected. Ok, criticize the bigot and his policies na, but no, he started attacking other tribes and people who would have shown him empathy and understanding. Confused guy! |
Sophisticated people are stealing railway tracks. The people who want to turn Nigeria into Dubai. |
ezenwajosh:Because of Buhari? Mumu! |
Stfe:How many northerners do you know? |
This man and many northerners criticize Buhari's marginalization of the SouthEast and his overall underperformance. But when you hear Igbos criticize the North, it would make you think twice about defending the Southeast. This is what Reno Omokri had a problem with. When you say northerners are the problem of Nigeria, how do you think northerners who do not support the marginalization of the Southeast would feel? Yoruba people have been vocal in their support of the southeast, but when you listen to Nnamdi Kanu's previous videos where he made blanket negative statements about Yorubas, you'd have a rethink about supporting the Southeast if you are a Yoruba person. My advice to Igbos is: know who your enemies are and channel your aggression accordingly. The North is the problem of Nigeria, but there are millions of Igbos in the North running their businesses. The North is Nigeria's problem but Igbos are employed as civil servants in most northern states. Southeastern states would never employ a northerner as a civil servant. In fact, an Igbo person from Anambra state would not be employed as a civil servant in Enugu. Come to northern universities and you'll see Igbo professors and students. Lots of them. Until recently, getting a job in the north was purely based on merit until southerners brought their bad ways. You wont believe how negatively southerners have influenced northerners. Back in the day, if a northern trader tells you the price of his goods, believe that he/she is telling you the truth. All that changed when southern traders started coming to the north to run their businesses. Talking about the marginalization of Igbos, there was a time when Igbos had predominance in Nigeria's military and civil service and they resisted calls for restructuring. Let's be honest, if the Igbos had political and military control in Nigeria, would they respect the rights of other minorities? The answer is a resounding no. So while we fight for a just Nigeria where everyone is treated equally, let's not act like we are the best. |
Until we start expecting corrupt public officials like China does, this country. A German minister once proposed an idea that would have led to real development in Africa, South America, and some Asian countries. He suggested that African countries and other poor countries in Asia and South America should lease lands to international institutions like the World Bank, IMF, the EU etc for 50 years. New cities called "charter cities" would be built from scratch to create jobs and opportunities for citizens of the host countries to stop them from making perilous journeys to developed countries. The then Madagascan president accepted the idea and it triggered a protest that led to his downfall. The African Union kicked against the idea too. African leaders were opposed to the idea because they knew it would be successful and it would make them look bad. Imagine a democratic, top-tier, successful city of 1 million people built and run by the world bank or by the EU in Nigeria to create jobs for Nigerians. Won't it make the incumbent Nigerian president look incompetent? That's what African leaders are afraid of. It would have shown that Africa's underdevelopment has nothing to do with the land. It's entirely our fault. Africa is not cursed as people tend to think. It's not as if we don't know what good governance entails. We are just too greedy. Our mentality is bleeped up. Once we get a juicy contract or position, we want to siphon money meant for projects. If Botswana and Namibia can run a decent country, it means we all can, but our greed won't let us. |
Afriqan:I totally agree |
Afriqan:Very true. Someone once told me that when you work for someone, you help them achieve their dreams. This is true. |
Afriqan:I attended an interview 3 months ago and I vowed not to apply for any vacancy on Facebook. It turns out it's a company like GNLD. They kept persuading me to invest, but I stood my ground, I told them I only had 500 hundred naira with me. They said I should invest even 100 or 200 hundred. I told them there's 9 days before the month would end, and that I didn't know where I'd get money before the month ending. The guy's countenance changed instantaneously. I was really scared. Looking visibly angry, he sad I should leave. I got up and wanted to go back to the hall to get someone's number. I met a guy and we clicked. I thought the guy was intelligent, so I decided to pitch an idea to him that we should start our own lesson center. The guy that interviewed me asked where I was going and I told him I was going to meet a friend. He looked at me and told me to get out if I knew what was good for me. Omo, I ran out like a maniac. These Facebook vacancies are scams. |
LienwaltAbel:Why did he act ignorant if he knew it? |
OlawaleBammie:That 70k means 70 kobo. At the time, the naira had value. Buhari destroyed the purchasing power of the naira in 1984, and he has done the same in 2021. Such an evil man! |
Buhari is inherently evil. My parents told me how prices of food items and other staples skyrocketed when Buhari became head of state in 1984. The same thing has repeated itself. Only a wicked soul would rule and his people would encounter considerable hardship and he is unperturbed. |
iKingsley:If you want to hide something from a black man, put it in a book. |
mrvitalis:Mtchew! |
mrvitalis:Igbos have been protecting the South-South? Is this not laughable? A region that says it's marginalized is not in a position to protect another region. |
That was Bubu attended Redeem church just to make people think he is dangerously anti-christian. He got elected and we all saw what others were warning us about. |
richmond500:You care less about who PDP brings, but you forgot that Amaechi and Umahi were once PDP members. In fact, 90% of the current APC members were once PDP members. And if the party loses in the forthcoming presidential election and PDP wins, they'll all decamp to the PDP. |
It's only in Naija that it's surprising for an elderly person to catch fun. Nobody is too old to have fun. |
I can't believe a governor is advising civilians to fight bandits with their teeth when the bandits are armed to the teeth. |
