Sometimes a relationship ends in a big way.
Maybe you and your SO got in a huge fight or one
of you seriously broke the other's trust.

But other times, it's not so clear. All relationships go through problems, so when things just start to feel off, it can be difficult to tell whether relationship needs to end or whether it just needs a little TLC to make things better.

Everyday details can make a significant difference in a relationship, but are they worth breaking up over? Or is this just your typical rough patch? I think these tips will be of help to you, work through your problems with some sure signs it's time to let go.

1. Your relationship consistently isn't
satisfying your needs;

If you feel unhappy more often than not in your
relationship, then it's definitely time to take a
closer look at what's going on. To do this, Jeffrey
Sumber, a licensed professional clinical counselor,
recommends making the distinction between non-negotiable needs and wants.

2. You're being physically or emotionally abused;

If your partner abuses you physically even once,
it's time to walk away. You should never tolerate
violence in a relationship. However, there are more types of abuse than just physical abuse. We often overlook emotional abuse in relationships.

We may even attribute the feelings associated
with it to one partner's oversensitivity or already low self-esteem. But if your Partner makes you feel bad about yourself or always points out your flaws,
you need to take those feelings seriously and leave.

"Any partner who uses physical violence will do it
again," Sumber says.

"The challenge is to also consider the emotional
violence, or abuse, that happens if one partner is
constantly chipping away at the other's self-esteem. I don't think that a partner ever has the
right to say you look terrible, because we are all
beautiful and we all have gifts and we all have
challenges."

If your partner critiques your appearance, your
intelligence or anything else about you in a way
that is hurtful and not at all helpful, it's time to
break up.

3. You're not communicating;

Do you and your partner speak less and less to
each other when you're apart? Have you stopped
sharing your feelings with each other? Or maybe
you just have nothing to say.

Communication issues are all too common in
relationships, and if you're experiencing them, it's time to take a look at the causes behind them.

If you and your partner have been together for
some time and your conversations still feel forced
and uninteresting, you may not really be compatible.

4. You're no longer excited by your relationship;

You're young. You're in the prime of your life. And
you're totally bored. It's clear that things can't
stay the way they are, so you need to figure out
what's going on.

Like communication issues, sometimes boredom is actually the symptom of a rough patch.

@Binoosmart says that you can't force your partner to be more interesting; you can only make sure that you are living a life you personally find
exciting and fulfilling.

"If your partner continuously finds it easy to turn
away from you at your best and most fascinating
and is not interested in ever being fascinating,
warm and loving to you anymore, you will become bored, and you'll know they are not the one for you," @Binoosmart says.

5. You feel pressured to change;

If you feel like you have to change for your SO,
then you're likely not with the right partner in the
first place.

Although your partner might help you grow as a
person or give you respectful suggestions for self-
improvement, you should never feel like your
back is up against a wall.

If you and your partner have different goals and
values, consider this: It is possible that your partner can challenge you to consider perspectives that you have never thought of before, and this could be a good thing.

"In our twenties, we are evolving in our understanding of self."

"It's likely that most of our values are constantly
evolving. If we get stuck in our values, we become stuck and stagnant."

But if your partner is pressuring you beyond your
comfort level to change your own values, you need to call it quits. Ask yourself, "What is truly in alignment with what I am? Is my partner making
demands I'm not comfortable with, or is my partner challenging my boundaries?"

Even with something as simple as a haircut, your
partner should never make you feel like being who you are is a deal-breaker. And if you feel like
that's the case, it's time to move on.

When you find yourself wondering if your relationship is meant to last, I recommends asking yourself, "Who am I? What do I need? And what will I do about it?" And if it turns out that your relationship isn't just in a rough patch, it's going to be okay.

No matter what, you deserve a life that fulfills you, relationship included. And, as @Binoosmart says,
"Why would you settle for less than a wonderful love life?

Science/Technology / Google Launches Wi-fi Network In Kampala, Uganda #africa by binoosmart(m): 11:00pm On Dec 04, 2015
Google has launched its first wi-fi network in
Uganda's capital Kampala, as part of a project to broaden access to affordable high-speed internet.

The company is making the broadband wireless network available to local internet providers, who will then charge customers for access.

The web giant says the network is now live in 120 key locations in Kampala.

Official statistics show Uganda has about 8.5
million internet users, making up 23% of the
population.

Google hopes that by improving internet capacity in the city, local telecom companies will then be able to offer faster, cheaper broadband access to their customers.

The company estimates that one day's unlimited data using the new network should cost 1,000 Ugandan shillings ($0.30, £0.20), although local providers will decide how much they want to charge for the service.

Critics say it would have been better to focus on Uganda's rural areas, where high-speed internet access is very limited.

The wireless network forms part of a wider project to improve web infrastructure in Africa, which has seen Google lay 800km (500 miles) of cables in Uganda to establish a fibre optic network.

There are now plans to expand the project to the Ghanaian cities of Accra, Tema and Kumasi. In October, Facebook announced its own initiative to increase access to the internet in Africa by using satellites.

Science/Technology / Dundee Students Design Bag That Speak To Stop You From Spending Money by binoosmart(m): 10:43pm On Dec 04, 2015
Three students in Dundee have designed a
handbag which berates you for spending money when you try to use your credit card.

A Ray Winstone-like voice is programmed to say "Don't even think about it" and "Put it down, put it back" as soon as the card is removed from the bag. Rebecca Smith, Leanne Fischler and Kirsty Sneddon created the bag for a degree project.

The fourth-year students said the design was
"very conceptual".

All three are in their final year at Duncan of
Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee.

Phones / Samsung Finally Agrees To Pay Apple $548 Million, With A Few Caveats by binoosmart(m): 9:55pm On Dec 04, 2015
Almost five years after Apple originally sued
Samsung for infringing smartphone patents, it
seems like the South Korean manufacturer is
ready to pay up. In a joint court statement
from both companies, Samsung has confirmed that it will pay Apple $548 million before December 14th if it receives an invoice from the iPhone - maker before the weekend. After years of lawsuits and appeals, collecting more than half a billion dollars is a significant win for Apple.

But even as Samsung appears to capitulate, it's trying to claw back some cash. The statement notes that Samsung "continues to reserve all rights to obtain reimbursement from Apple," although in the same document, Apple disputes these rights.

Apple originally sued Samsung in the spring of
2011, just one of many cases at that time in
the sprawling smartphone patent wars. In
2012, a court found in Apple's favor, judging that Samsung had infringed the company's patents for features such as tap-to-zoom and
multitouch gestures.

Apple asked for $2.5 billion in damages
and was awarded just over $1 billion, but
various appeals from both parties have
bounced this figure back and forth over the
years, with Samsung whittling it down to $930 million and then $548 million,in May this year.

This is the figure it has now agreed to pay.
But, as ever, there are several flies in the
ointment for Apple. Not only does the joint
statement reserve Samsung's right to take
some of this money back in any future cases,
but this summer, the South Korean company
announced it would be requesting a US Supreme Court review of its legal case. Patent analyst Florian Mueller (who first spotted the joint statement), notes that if the court agrees to hear the matter, a retrial is likely. At the same time, the US patent office itself is under pressure for awarding certain patents to Apple in the first place. As Plato so presciently said: only the dead have seen the end of the smartphone patent war.

Politics / Kogi Gov Poll: Court Decides Wada, Bello, Faleke’s Fate On Friday by binoosmart(m): 11:17pm On Dec 01, 2015
ABUJA – The Abuja Division of the Federal High
Court has fixed Friday to determine whether or
not the Independent National Electoral
Commission, INEC, should go ahead with the
planned supplementary governorship election
in Kogi State.

Justice Gabriel Kolawole who heard four
separate suits challenging the legality of the
scheduled run-off poll, said there was need for
the court to take a position on the matter “so
that INEC will not conduct the election under a grave shadow of doubt as to the legal or
constitutional validity”.

Meanwhile, Justice Kolawole consolidated the
four suits, even as he persuaded lawyers to the various plaintiffs to distill out three central
issues for the court to determine.

Whereas the first suit was lodged before the
court by the Kogi state governor, Captain Idris
Wada, retd, the second suit was filed by the
governorship candidate of the People for
Democratic Change, in the state, Hon.
Emmanuel Daikwo.

Similarly, while the third suit was filed by a
legal practitioner, Mr. Johnson Usman, the
fourth suit was filed by two plaintiffs, a
member representing Ahiazu Ezinaehitte
Mbaise Federal Constituency of Imo state at
the National Assembly, Hon. Rafael Igbokwe,
and an electorate from Omala LGA in
Abelijukolo Ife of Eche ward in Kogi state, Mr.
Stephen Wada Omaye.

Even though Wada had in his originating
summons, prayed the court to declare him
winner of the November 21 governorship
election, the other plaintiffs however sought for the nullification of the election, as well as an order compelling INEC to conduct a fresh poll.

Nevertheless, sequel to the directive of the
court, all the plaintiffs, led by Mr. Goddy Uche,
SAN, narrowed the three issues for
determination to include: “Whether having
regard to the provisions of sections 31(1)(2)(4)(5)(6)(7) and (cool, 33, 34, 36, 85 and 87 of the Electoral Act, 2010, as amended, as well as sections 178-181 of the constitution of the
Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended, INEC,
can lawfully conduct a second/supplementary
election into the office of Governor of Kogi state on December 5, 2015, or any other date at all let alone accepting the nomination/substitution by the APC of any candidate on the basis of votes computed and credited to the deceased candidate of the APC when the new or substitute candidate was not part of the original election”.

Meantime, before he adjourned the case till
Thursday for all the parties to adopt their final
addresses, Justice Kolawole warned the lawyers to limit themselves to issues of law.

He stressed that since the substantive fact of
the matter with regard to death of the APC
governorship candidate, Abubakar Audu is not
in dispute, “counsels should therefore be
moderate, brief and concise in their addresses
by limiting argument to the three issues
distilled from the four Originating Summons
listed on the cause list.

“This is because time is of the essence, as the
court has to consider all the issues and deliver
its judgment on Friday. The addresses should
not be more than 10 pages and maximum of
15 pages. This case is hereby adjourned to
December 3 for adoption of addresses.

“Counsel are to file and exchange their
addresses within 48 hours”, Justice Kolawole
ruled.

While INEC and the Attorney General of the
Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr.
Abubakar Malami, SAN, were represented in
court, there was no legal representation for the APC.

Earlier, Wada’s lawyer, Mr. Uche, SAN, told the
court that spirited effort to serve the APC with
the originating processes on Monday proved
abortive owing to bloody fight he said was
going on between three different factions in
the party.

Meanwhile, Audu’s running mate, Mr. James
Abiodun Faleke has approached the high
court, seeking a declaration that election to
the office of Governor of a state can only be
conducted in the manner expressly stipulated
in section 179 (2), (a)(b), (3)(a)(b), 4(a)(b)
and (5) of the constitution.

Among other reliefs, he also wants “A
declaration that by the combined reading of
section 179 (2)(a) and (b) and 181(1) of the
constitution, upon the death of a person duly
elected as the governor of a state, the person
elected with him as Deputy-Governor is to be
sworn in as the Governor of the state”.

Romance / My Girlfriend Wants Us To Have An Open #relationship (please Help) by binoosmart(m): 2:20pm On Nov 20, 2015
Abigail believes in being romantically
connected to more than one person at a time. Could it work for Yakubu Binuyaminu?

Try not to sleep with her," my girlfriend said as we stepped out of her house to meet another girl (my ex high School Girlfriend). "But I won't be mad if you do," she added. Abigail didn't like being called my girlfriend, but I always cringed at her preferred term, "primary sexual partner" (like friends for benefit). It sounded like the kind of thing you'd hear at a seminar on tantric rebirthing.

We met at my family house party where everyone was bedraggled with sweat. It was the hot season in the Northern part of Nigeria where we lived, and when we went back to her place we locked ourselves away with the air-conditioning blasting on full.

After a month of refrigerated liaisons, we met again in she came to my school.

"I really like you," she said. "But
whenever I've tried monogamy, I've ended up kissing someone else because I have romantic feelings for men and women. I don't want to hurt you so let's be polyamorous."

Polyamorists believe that it's possible to be romantically committed to more than one person at once.

The term was coined in 1990 by the
fantastically named Morning Glory Zell-
Ravenheart, and the word now encapsulates a myriad of non-monogamous arrangements.

Abigail claimed never to feel jealousy. She said she had learned not to during a difficult previous relationship. She didn't speak much about it. She said it was abusive, which made me wonder
if she truly had dealt with her jealousy or was merely numb from trauma. I gave her the benefit of the doubt.

But it sounded a bit much to me. What if she preferred another lover and ran off? But perhaps it was worth considering an alternative to monogamy. After all, we're attracted to many people whether in a relationship or not. Perhaps if Abigail and I threw off our constraints we could enter some kind of promised land flowing with milk and guilt-free sex. Could we have our
cake and eat it too? Polyamory felt weird at first, particularly as a young muslim guy. I remember being 11,
lying in the in my bed flicking through my Hadiths. Inserted into the text were stories in boxes showing how to apply religious teachings to modern life. I knew sex was important and it had
something to do with naked girls – a subject I was already developing a keen enthusiasm for.

So I looked up a story in the "sex and
relationships" section. It was about a teenage couple who had premarital sex and prayed for Forgiveness. I slammed the book shut, scaring a butterfly. Even if I got married straight out of university it would be years until I could have sex. I was dismayed.

It was a conflicted sexual awakening. Throughout adolescence masturbation took on terrifying metaphysical implications and, while my male friends were agog at the sight of their first naked breasts, I was alone on a stormy moral high ground. Eventually, I decided the muslim beliefs I had been raised with were false. I felt like I had been lied to. I tend to think that sex is healthy in many different contexts. It's not some kind of holy superglue assigned to monogamous couples. But
it took years. Abigail and I didn't throw off all constraints. We decided on a form of polyamory that involved having primary and secondary sexual partners.

As each other's primaries we had to consult each other before we could sleep with other people, though we could kiss and flirt at will. Soon I was
tasting the candy-flavoured lip-gloss of another girl. Funmi was a pretty, bookish girl who was a crush of mine (Since High School). My heart was rushing but feelings of shame curled around my ribcage like poisonous vapour.

"Did you make out with Funmi?" Abigail asked later. And the two of them later became close even closer than I myself.

"Yes, but we both felt guilty," I said. "Like we were cheating on you." Abigail threw an arm around my neck. "We have to go beyond guilt and transcend jealousy," she said.

Easier said than done. I was practically glowing with jealousy when Abigail went on a date of her own. Sitting on my bed, I followed instructions in the classic primer on the subject, The Ethical Slut, and wrote a journal entry to explore my feelings. It was going well but my stream-of-consciousness kept on morphing into erotic imaginings and I kept thinking about what Abiail and the Guy might get up to.

It made for a confusingly arousing and traumatising experience.

Right now is not that I am jealous but beliave me I am fealing really uneasy it seams that Abigail is killing me please help me guys.

Should I stay in this relationship or I should just leave it? please people tell me what to do I am confused.

Romance / A Woman Pretended To Be A Man In Order To Con A Friend Into Having Sex With Her. by binoosmart(m): 5:51pm On Nov 19, 2015
But how could a woman successfully trick another female into thinking she was male?
During Gayle Newland's trial, her victim described her disbelief at finding the man she had been in a relationship with for two years was, in fact, a woman who had been using a prosthetic penis to dupe her into thinking she was having sex with a man.

"For the last two years [she] had fabricated this world around me," she said.

"He - Gayle - pulled the wool over my eyes." Using the alter-ego Kye Fortune, 25-year-old Newland, who was found guilty of sexual assault, convinced the other woman to wear a blindfold when they met.

The trial, at Chester Crown Court, heard the pair spent more than 100 hours in each other's company in hotels and at the victim's flat, and had sex about 10 times before the other woman realised Newland's true identity.
Newland was branded "highly manipulative,
deceitful and scheming" by the judge in the case, while police said she had deliberately targeted a "naive and vulnerable" victim.
But how did she convince her victim to agree to her demands, in a deception Newland's defence team described as "impossible to believe"?

The trial was told "Kye" asked the victim to cover her eyes when they met so she would not see scars he had received in a car accident.

In addition to making her victim wear a blindfold, the prosecution said, Newland went to other lengths to conceal her physical identity when they met and had sex.

As well as wearing a prosthetic penis, Newland
taped her breasts down with bandages, wore a swimsuit to flatten her curves and a. Read more.
