Mark Karpeles, 30, is being held in connection with the loss of bitcoins worth $387m (£247m, €351m) last February.

Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, are expecting a baby girl.
The couple made the announcement with a post on Mr Zuckerberg's Facebook page.

"Priscilla and I have some exciting news: we're expecting a baby girl!" he wrote to his 33 million followers.

Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has condemned former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s comments on former President Goodluck Jonathan.

He urged Obasanjo to stop attacking Jonathan.

Fayose was responding to Obasanjo’s comments at the 11th convocation lecture of the Ben Idahosa University (BIU), Benin, Edo State, where Obasanjo reportedly said Jonathan’s performance would haunt the Southsouth for a long time.

The governor, miffed by Obasanjo’s latest invective against Jonathan, said the Otuoke-born leader “has since left office and should be allowed to live a private life devoid of mudslinging from elder statesmen, like Chief Obasanjo”.

What may be the world's oldest fragments of the Koran have been found by the University of Birmingham.
Radiocarbon dating found the manuscript to be at least 1,370 years old, making it among the earliest in existence.
The pages of the Muslim holy text had remained unrecognised in the university library for almost a century.
The British Library's expert on such manuscripts, Dr Muhammad Isa Waley, said this "exciting discovery" would make Muslims "rejoice".
The manuscript had been kept with a collection of other Middle Eastern books and documents, without being identified as one of the oldest fragments of the Koran in the world.

When a PhD researcher, Alba Fedeli, looked more closely at these pages it was decided to carry out a radiocarbon dating test and the results were "startling".
The university's director of special collections, Susan Worrall, said researchers had not expected "in our wildest dreams" that it would be so old.

For the first time a supercomputer based in the Middle East has entered the top ten list of the most powerful computers on the planet.
The Shaheen II is based at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (Kaust) in Saudi Arabia.
The Cray XC40 computer is the seventh most powerful machine in the world, said the Top 500 organisation that monitors high-performance machines.
China's Tianhe-2 retained its position at the top of the supercomputer list.

Kaust has spent about $80m (£51m) buying, installing and operating the Cray machine which is about 25 times more powerful than the machine it is replacing.

The machine uses 200,000 processors arranged in more than 6,000 nodes, has 17.6 petabytes of storage and 790 terabytes of main memory. By contrast, China's Tianhe-2 has a peak processing ability of 33.86 petaflops spread across 16,000 nodes.

A petaflop is equal to about one quadrillion calculations per second. One estimate suggests it would take a human about 32,000 years to complete the same task.

The machine, based in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia is being used for research projects modelling turbulence in engines, atmospheric dynamics, and renewable energy grids.
Industrial partners of Kaust are also planning to use it to help refine their search for minerals and fossil fuels and in the processing of raw materials.

These kind of posts are easily liked, shared, which gives you a lot of exposure.

So what I did was pretty simple: I have a very common freebie site which I used to convince people to like the page and afterward they will get the free tips the following day I gave out the freebie.

TIPS FOR YOUR PAGE:

1) Create your page and add a professional timeline banner and avatar (this is really important to "stand out".

2) Then, start adding a lot of high quality contents to your page. Just like when you are promoting your blog. Why? Simply because this is how you create value. As you may know, people will "like" your Facebook page only if they find value in it. Having great contents is definitely the way to do it.
