pinkPUSSY:Oil dey your head. APC would have had a better showing with Osinbajo holding their flag. For some reason PYO would have been an easier sell than BAT. This match would then have been squarely between PYO and PO. Atiku would have been completely relegated. Alas, selfishness would not permit this....and the pendulum swings in favour of an Obi presidency. |
Chydon888:How can one contact you? Would you be interested in a job in Lagos? Resumption is immediate. |
Em222:Trade is the best way for you to launch into at the moment considering all variables. Look for a product that you can sell on a daily basis and that the population MUST buy no matter what the economy is saying. Eggs supply would be a good and easy angle to consider. Bread would also be a good investment and you could start out small and grow it phenomenally. On the whole everything you need is right here on Nairaland in the form.of experiences recounted in different threads by different monikers. But only seek guidance do not offer anybody money unless you are BUYING from the person and you have seen/received/taken delivery before payment. Good luck. |
Amugbo1992:I can recommend you but you would have to meet their expectations. Out up your details here and I will contact you, perhaps you could start on Monday. |

Really! Then be really patient. |
rozaie:And if I choose not to? |
rozaie:You can chose to believe whatever fits your fantasy. I will however advise that you diversify your mind. It's not all the time that promotion and advancement is tied to certain stereotypes. This was a classical example of 'the extra mile' being identified and rewarded appropriately. |
GboyegaD:And who dear Sir is the arbiter of 'decency and conducive'? No wonder the massive attempt to relocate. You have been given employment and it comes with accomodation. Yes, the accomodation could be made better but then by who? In her shoes I would turn around that place and it will transform in ways even the owner will be mesmerized. Just an aside to buttress this point, a chef of Efik extraction was employed by a 'big man' in Ikoyi and given a one room apartment as her residence with a salary of 35k monthly. Before she moved into that premisses it was a terrible place, pathways overgrown with weeds, terrible paintwork and of course a very untidy environment. Fast forward to just two months when I had reason to visit the place again, the entire place had been completely transformed. It was an amazing sight to behold. I wasn't therefore surprised to find out later in the year that she had been promoted to head of household with a salary of 100k. Less than one year. We really need to see some of these obstacles as opportunities rather than complain at every juncture. |
Threesha:Many thanks for this input. That's my leaning now. Many years in hiring has shown me the bottom belly of our qualifications. If you have the fortune of hiring a level headed SSCE candidate with the right attitude You can groom him to the heavens and PAY him/her commensurately. Unfortunately, majority of our tertiary level graduates feel too entitled and as such their cup is already filled leaving no space for new learning experiences. It's a very sad and painful recognition. Once again many thanks for your contribution. |
Kjlionz:Quote me on a dead thread. |
Sylove:Where is your location please? |
Kjlionz:Are you honest? Can you be trusted with large sums of cash on a daily basis? Would you like to start out a fresh career as a paid intern learning new and more relevant skills? It would require you relocating to Lagos. Decent (dormitory-like) accomodation would be provided. |
TsaTrinity:I've sent you a mail.already. |

Truthsoldier:My first and only question is; Is it actually the practice of teaching that you are fed up with or rather the crumbs that come to you in terms of monthly reward? There has to be a clear, distinct and sincere answer to this question. If it is an improvement in income you seek then understand that you can get this within the teaching profession or you could also to a horizontal career transplant which would put you in a better funnel that will attract a lot more income. But that will also require you to pay a price upfront. Are you prepared to do this at this stage in your life? A good teacher is potentially a very good Salesman/woman. My advice to you is that if you really want to make rapid progress in the area of making more income then the fastest way out is for you to initiate yourself with your persuasive skills into the sales world especially if you can get into the FMCG segment of the economy. Two things I can promise you here; 1. You will quickly learn the ropes and in less than two years will be earning your current monthly salary monthly. 2. If you become a high flying sales person you will never ever lack a job in your productive years again....even for one month. You will be so well.sought after that it will be amazing. Create a career development plan, then start out small and grow organically, sooner than later you will stun yourself and others with your results. The whole world revolves around sales. Good luck to you. By the way, a client seeks an experienced and prolific sales person to work for an Commercial bakery in Lagos. The preferred candidate must have at least 5 years in a similar role in the bakery industry but all these years must be in Lagos. Resumption is immediate and salary is between 100 and 300k. Quote me if you have anyone interested. |
The OP is good match for all of you critics. A man has done his projections carefully and arrived at the fact that the business can only hire someone willing to earn 40k at this time. He advertises specifically mentioning the duties and the reward. As we speak now several people seeking that salary as a respite for their prevailing experience will be applying for the job and you as defenders of the universe are here misdirecting the already confused and lily livered irresponsible applicants. In other words, he should offer what he cannot afford to pay so that Nairaland can continue drawing more traffic as new threads are created showing how salaries have not been paid in full for several months. It's an open market. If you deserve more seek other openings. |
Tokskob2008:Pls quote me on a dead thread. |
Wallaces:Send me a CV immediately. |
Cyril009:Ijaiye is not bad just that job opportunities may be fewer in that axis unless you move towards Sango/Otta. But expand your horizon. Be more adventurous while being cautious. I am sure someone from Nairaland will call you very soon and you will have no regrets. Best wishes! |
Cyril009:Where is home? I don't know how much these companies offer and I don't expect their reward to be fixated. It is also important to note that it is unprofessional, undignifying and rather presumptuous for you to be asking for salaries. I am an old school HR practitioner. If a candidate asks me about the pay before the interview session I usually disqualify the person right away. Why not inquire about other details first and in the process market your abilities thus attracting even more than the already established/fixed reward. Then regarding whether it is worth it or not, you won't know until you visit the company and discuss with them in detail. Are you aware that some companies now offer some form of dormitory accommodation for valuable staff who live far away? You can't know the potentials a good job can provide if you attempt to get all the information you need via phone call and WhatsApp. Stand up, pay them visit, observe the place, observe other staff currently working there, try to absorb the feelings there; is it a happy place? Do the staff look happy? Is there possibility of other non monetary rewards like skill development, networking and experience gathering? I made this long post because you are young and this is your best phase in life. I wish you luck in your search. |
lusid:I can't promise you anything outside sending you information about companies recruiting. I can also push for you to be granted some audience/interview but I can't influence their decision thereafter. Perhaps you can send me a message via WhatsApp to 0Eight0 - 50 - three -60 - 68 - five. |
Cyril009:You are a bit too young but if you are willing to take a factory job in Sagamu I could consider referring you. There is also a records keeping job in Ajuwon/Akute axis which you could fit in very well since you write very well. Fortunately, both jobs come with accomodation. |
Spherica17:Send me a CV via Whatsapp. |
Move2:It will take a large does of selflessness and unorededented altruism for Kwankwaso to commit to a new Nigeria that can only be midwifed by a PO led administration (at least at this point in our national evolution). If Kwankwaso means we'll, he should see that the pendulum swings more in favour of a PO presidency at this time. The lections will be a great surprise to all and sundry. PO will not pull in anything less than 15 Mill votes if INEC does its job properly by issuing PVC cards to all eligible voters. Kwankwaso will be the decimal that will provide the more salient details requir d by the constitution. He will provide the spread required in that clause (25% of the votes in 24 states). Pls note that it requires an indescribable statesmanship to sacrifice personal ambition in the interest of the commonwealth. |
Dangrace01:Can I also benefit from your magnanimity? |
Lhordwhite:I suggest you go to the food section and repost this thread. You may however seek out one very knowledgeable poster on bread here on nairaland. He goes by the moniker Onnyx. He is your one-stop suction to anything bakery/bread. Of course there are others as well like Lekerton but the one I follow is the former. Good luck. |
homosapien:Bros, you need a full length mirror. |
Cutecharlz:If you live in any major city in Nigeria, make a trip to a large industrial bakery and observe the men and women there scrambling to buy bread as distributors. Strike a conversation with them and explain your circumstances. Listen carefully and take notes where necessary. Then decide if this is for you. Capital required is far less than your 500k. Finally,if you decide to take a plunge in that direction,go to Nairaland business section and you will find there a very detailed thread on selling/distribution of bread. |
shunlet210:You asked a very important question. You shouldn't have attempted an answer yourself based on assumption. And yes, he has done this before. In 2016, I was among Lagos bound passengers stranded in Abuja airport as a result of incessant delays by our carrier. By 12.00 midnight we were all still there. All hell broke loose when the airline announced that they would not be able to convey us that night after all. To worsen matters not a single arrangement was made for us by this airline. There was pandemonium. Then there was an appeal by a tiny voice in the crowd requesting that everyone calm down. We turned and behold it was Peter Obi in his characteristic dark and simple attire. He asked for the manager of the manager and after interacting with the man who appeared helpless, he then some calls. After the call, he assured us all that something would be done. About an hour later we were all surpris d as a departure was announced and we all scrambled into the plane after a weary day. Of course the passengers sang his praise to high heavens that night. This wasn't political as none of us then considered him a presidential material. So it wasn't the first time. May I also add that Ayo Fayose was also our hero just like this on one occasion where a similar incident occured. He salvaged the situation but it is important to note that while Peter Obi did his own quietly Peter Fayose handled his own with some panache. That's my story of two great 'Peters'. |
Nomeh17:I will get to you but can't at the moment. Pls state your prices here. |
Nomeh17:Front please. Prices for both new and used will be appreciated. But note that I want something really good. Thanks! |
