At my first appointment in February 2016,Dr M told me to go and pay and register with St Francis immediately or as soon as the next day because ownership of the hospital changed in Dec 2015 of which might reflect on the self pay fees at anytime.
I never went to Centinela because like someone said their personnel via phone is just not friendly/saucy.Moreover I entered Uber one day and the driver just assumed am using Centinela and he was like hope you have plenty money because that hospital is very costly
My take is even with the price increase St Francis is still cost effective because epidural,paediatrician visit @the hospital is still included in the package and they are not quick to send baby to NICU in order to make a fast buck.
Also for a twin mom they didn't charge for the second baby(am yet to see another hospital that does that).

Because 18k is not a joking stuff I carry my jallop go Okwe to confirm and save that money for the second and final dose o.The nurse con talk sey its not free o and na #7500 jale and I have to call and drop money first at least a week before their next dose because her contact might not have it in stock and he has to bring it from Lagos.

For Asaba mamas,I had to do a search for a hospital that gives the vaccine because all the health centres don't have it but at the last centre one Don Jazzy nurse now said I should go to St Luke Hospital that that's the only hospital that has it.Got there,was told immunization day is Monday's only and Rotavirus is 9k.mind you my twins will be 6 months on the 24th but learnt they can still take it.I just cajole the nurse on duty if I can bring them to take it today and she said yes because she's less busy so they took their first dose today. Now I can worry less about my princess teething poo spree.

1.5 months for birth certificate is not correct...
I had my baby at St Francis Hospital last week (September 2nd to be precise). The admin lady told me it takes 10 business days for birth certificate to be ready at the LA county office.
HOWEVER, i called the county yesterday 9th September, and i have confirmed that my birth certificate is ready. I will be collecting it on Monday 12th.
You should ask that she should book it as an expedited request.
Also if youre in a hurry, you should already book your passport appointment... The open dates are going far into the future...

If you are in a hurry just give the admin lady $15 to process your form expedite @earlier poster.it will be ready downtown in about 5 days.

A little input in respect of the Infacol.Buy the UK one and not other types.My younger sister had the same issue,the infacol she bought wasn't working she now called me and was anxious.I asked her how much did you buy it she said #1000,I bought mine for #2500.oya bbm the packet to me let's compare.Funny enough I carry yansh for my naija peeps,the packet colour is the same,same baby smiling on the packet,they put the same ingredients composition but the manufacturer and country is different .

Please where can i buy pampers swaddlers or pampers sensitive diapers in Lagos? My LO is having diaper rash and i have done everything i can(air her bum throughout the day and only use diaper at night, used baking powder solution,coconut oil,used Aveeno diaper rash cream which i feel is working) but the rash just keeps coming back and i feel i just have to change the diaper as that is the only thing i have not done. I am currently using US huggies but i have used pampers swaddlers and also sensitive when she was about one month so thats why i want to buy it but i dont know where to buy it in lagos. Please help me abeg.
Or should i try cloth diaper? i dont know where it is sold as well. please help meeeeeeee

I am also dealing with the same issue with my twin girl(diaper rash) and have been on Pampers sensitive from when they were 2 weeks old.but the rash started with teething poo.the only thing that also works is Aveeno diaper rash cream(use it at every diaper change).getting the (sensitive)diaper in Nigeria is not possible I checked everywhere.I had to utilise people around me going to the US,buy 2-4 cartons in varying sizes online via Sam's club ship it to them and pay for an extra bag,I also toss in clothes from Carter's.com and some Gerber 1st foods.it's not cheap to do this but I know mummy ain't buying any Tom Ford perfumes this year

Mamas abeg, is it wise to take astymin, astyfer and pregnacare at the same time? These were prescribed by a nurse at my first ANC clinic as per reason I don't fully understand. I don't get to see a doc until next visit and I told her I take pregnacare already. So was this how you took them? I mean, I read the astymin and astyfer both contain iron and folic acid again and I'm sure I've also read somewhere to not take too much iron in pregnancy?

Its not ok to combine all 3 o.astymin is a multivitamins,astyfer is to boost your blood level,pregnacare is a normal prenatal.my Dr asked me to combine astyfer with my pregnacare then because my pcv level was low.
I think you should discuss with your doctor ASAP.

Sorry about your host loss.Accommodation in LA is not cheap o because a good furnished one ranges from 2000-2500 monthly.
If your host didn't come out to say you shouldn't come please just tip toe inside house quickly o.it will only be akwaŕd if you are not really close to them.

For those that have gone before, how did you do immunization?

Hepatitis B is given at birth. Depending on the state,the next set of immunizations is given at 2 months and most mamas are already back in Nigeria 4-6 weeks after baby's delivery.That's why you don't see cost of immunizations on the forum.If you are staying that long (2 months) you can budget 200-300 dollars depending on the paediatrician.
