Pls experienced mother's in the house help!
My DD who is two weeks old hasn't pooed for three days now but passes gas( farts) a lot, she is on EBF. Should I be worried?
Also her cord stump fell off on the fifth day and I have been cleaning the site with cotton wool and spirit but I noticed the place bkd slightly this evening while I was changing her diaper, I cleaned the stale blood away and it stopped, is there cause for worry?
Pls help a FTM.

Babies EBF can go a week or more without pooping as heard from midwives/nurses on immunization day at the health centre.so no worries
Her navel looks fine,keep cleaning for a couple of more days though.You are doing great mama

Mama I beg u people should allow me vent here cos I no wan face DH this night cos quarreling is prohibited. I'm a FTM I complained of waist pain and he ask me want I did with my waist all day ( in DH voice......u didn't drive and u didn't stand for long) Imagine asking a woman that is 7months pregnant and very active that kind of question. I'm just pissed off. He keeps saying u should be in charge of ur body this pregnancy shouldn't control u. I can't even crave for anything he will first preach that craving is of the mind before I will get whatever I ask for by then I have lost appetite.
He helps me quite alright but I still do my normal chores cos he will say he doesn't want me to be lazy that I should try and live my normal life. Don't know how to make him understand how I feel. Really pissed off tonight.

My advice is based on how angry you are and how much you want him to have an idea of what's it's like to be pregnant
Get 1 old pillow case,stuff with items like several 1kg bags of semo or gari that weighs minimum 5kg to the amount of weight you have gained,use needle and thread to sew 4 ropes on the stuffed pillow,tie it to his waist, (and to make it interesting place a bet of good amount of money like 10k) that's his package once he gets home,he will go to bed with it,when you wake up to pee wake him as well,duration at least a week,he is not allowed to drop it for any reason o. .I hope nobody is staying with you guys o so that family meeting will not called on the prank o
Hopefully he will understand how you feel when he makes such remarks.

Because of this host vs guest mata,I had to compose and send a nice text to my BIL who I stayed with for 5 months on my first missionary journey .the guy never experrit it he replied and said you made my day.
But I always take it upon myself to clean up after myself when leaving to the extent of washing the beddings/toilet etc,when I receive packages I flatten the boxes and take it out on trash day even his wife had to say,it's a man job to do that but I know it's my mess abi.
On 2nd missionary journey,I called him and explain myself that I don't want to stress him because am coming with my mum,having 2 babies,hubby and 2 kids are coming days before delivery i.e 5pple and 2 babies(imagine the effect on water,electricity,gas and pocket,on a good day you come home from work to a kid that's not yours making noise all over the place when all you want is to remove your shoes and belt,have a glass of wine in one hand and the remote in the other )
that based on my budget am going to another state but will stop over and say hello.
In other news,the airbnb apartment I stayed in LA that I handed over to a preggie that we met through the Dr office was gbagaun.The babe said the landlady only refunded half of her deposit,I was like for what na I now called the landlady,her reply was those women are filthy,I had to pay my cleaner double for the mess they made,but when you left,my apartment was clean I only change the bath mat and beddings,not even a single paper under the bed.call me anytime you are coming to LA you will stay in my house.
My point is let's be good to one another and ask ourselves if it's me will I take/accept this behaviour from someone else.

Good afternoon house, I was here last week and I said I would be coming back to testify and YES God did it for me and my family.
I was @ the embassy yesterday with my dharma and 2kids and we were granted withing 3 minutes.
God proved himself in my life. I believed with faith and I received it.

Pregnancy do mess up a woman's energy level i.e feeling sleepy,headaches,tiredness,nausea, etc.
In my own case, I discovered 1 month into the job that my nanny is pregnant but she insist that it won't affect her work Not true
She starts to complain about my twin girl that she doesn't sleep as often as the boy to the extent that she started making unsettling comments when she receives her in the morning like wahala girl,drama queen blah blah Then she will take the whole day off to go for antenatal and on public holidays she will send sms that she is having headaches,,etc(which means am on my own,mind you I don't have any other help).She was working Mon-Fri 7:30-4pm.I had to systematically lay her off.
So pregnancy is relevant.

Gerber with banana,apple etc is for older babies o because you will see at the upper right corner of the container that it's for crawler.I believe at 5mths plus your babies have not started crawling .So it's the plain ones like rice,oat,multi grain that's for supported sitter that you can introduce them to.Another good one is Heinz (oat and apple,fruit custard porridge for 4mth+) this is the one my babies like they don't cry when I give them but the content in the packet is small o
Then at 6mths+ I tried Nutribom they also like the banana and apple one.I also complement the cereal with all these puree fruits in little cups especially the Heinz ones(it's 4 cups in a pack:varieties:oat and apple,pear,fruity banana custard,etc for 4mths+)they are not fans of the Cow &Gate ones except these one in a glass jar (banana and cookie crumble yum yum).I got all these from a lady at Alade market and she gave me good rates. (Heinz puree fruit cups 4in1 pack is 1k,Heinz cereal is 1400,Nutribom is 600,Cow and gate banana and cookie crumble 6in1 pack is 2500).If you need her contact, pm me.
So just buy 1 of each and see the one they will like.

What I noticed when making cereals is that if I use a small plate,I get lumps,so I changed their plate,and since then,no more

Good afternoon mamas,my baby has some white coatings on her tongue n was told its thrush although its not disturbing her feeding but I dont like it.Her pediatrician when we were in us gave me nystatin but she has finished two prescriptions of nystatin n no result..pls what can I use to clear the thrush?

During bathtime or after,dip cotton wool in lukewarm water in a little cup/bowl with a pinch of salt and use it to clean her tongue and corner mouth every day.you will see a difference.

my son does not want formula again o but the sister is taking it o.He rejects Gerber cereal as well, takes Heinz purees thou.I gave him Nutribom (banana and apple)yesterday no crying but the little lumps makes him gag.

Hello all. I know a lot has been posted here but I would like some info please from anyone as soon as possible. I plan to travel in October to give birth in the states. I really don't have any specific destination. Please can anyone let me know the cheapest hospitals in the states to give birth. I'm expecting twins and I'm due in January and with this dollar rate I'm looking at a good price. Please let me know your experiences and also good affordable accommodation too. Thanks very much

Its because the name Tawa is significant to me and am a twin mama that's why am responding
1)Am assuming you have a US visa.
2)You are due in January 2017 and you want to travel in October (dollar is not smiling)
3)Twin pregnancy is considered high risk already without any other conditions that could crop up,I see you are leaning towards Atlanta,Atl doctors will not accept you unless you send your medical records down for assessment and you must be on ground by 28weeks. If you are above 28weeks the answer is No.
4)In the case of Northside Hospital,you can't reach their personnel via phone only email.so you can't get their NICU rate,etc.Mamas with singleton said hold extra cash because even with their discount for self pay they were billed extra.
5)Have you figured out flights(airline that's favourable to pregnant mamas and babies in terms of luggage,etc),accommodation,feeding,prenatal and post natal care.
So my dear you have your work cut out for you.

In the spirit of giving back . I am now back in Nigeria . I had my baby at renown hospital Reno . They have an ob/gynae package .goes as follows for CS and vagina delivery
Hospital fees : 6025 for 3 days stay and 3900 for vaginal
Doctor fees :300 dollars for CS and 150 for vaginal
Prenatal fees 800 dollars ;which include prenatal care , all lab work ( I did plenty .. Doesn't matter how many you do ) ,perinatologist referral ,ultrasound (2maximum), diagnostic testing and non stress test .
Circumcision fee: 200 dollars
Pediatrician fee: 100 dollars ( 2 visits at birth and at 2 weeks ... Includes all newborn test which is done twice ).
Anasthesia : 1500 but with self pay discount 1080
So I paid a total of 8050 for a cesarean section .
