There are 3 concepts here, God ... Religion ... Sex... Nice! God said, I want to make them in the image of myself. So, he gave us free will i.e To choose to do or undo. Along the line, we made some really bad choices and God had to scold us. Now, the concept of Religion was birthed. To guide us and set pedestals, standards everyone should try adhere to as much as possible and take as guide when confronted with whatever, temptations in this case. So, the thing is when yo confronted with sexual tensions , which is one of those ephemeral feelings; very short lived if you have mastered life to that extent, Religion tenets are their to help you and control u. Personal ethics like patience, perseverance and determination are key attributes that could help miscellaneously when being faced with this kind of challenge too. So far, I've learned to see my religion as my good friend not my enemy, as my guide when in doubt, as my motivation when I feel left out and as my personal whip when I make bad choices which includes sexual immorality. So, I have made peace with my religion. I see it as a school that wasn't designed to scold me but to mould me . Drifting me towards fulfilling the original plan; the reason for my creation , which is living a God conscious life. I hope this helps dealing with your conundrums skarlett? 1 Like 1 Share |
