Vanguard, 7th April edition, reported how a wedding was called off because the bride allegedly refused to follow the groom to his church. Both were Christians but of different denominations.

This is a sober reminder of the need to address certain issues before saying “I do.”
Don’t assume all is well just because you’re in love. Infatuation fades, but the issues you ignore today may become the cracks in your marriage tomorrow.

Ask the hard questions:

What church will we both attend?

How will we handle finances, joint account or separate?

How involved will in-laws be in our decisions?

What’s our stance on parenting and discipline?

Are we on the same page about roles and expectations in marriage?

Most divorce cases don’t start with big fights. They begin with these “little foxes” that go unchecked and gradually eat away at the foundation.

So what’s your take, must a woman follow her husband to his church? Or should they both find a common ground?

What other important matters do you think couples should settle before tying the knot?

Sometimes we say we are christians but we are just far from such and are only just a religious people who have no relationship with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.



This is what the Scripture says.....


Eph.5.22 - Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
Eph.5.23 - For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
Eph.5.24 - Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
Eph.5.33 - Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.




The moment a woman is bond to a man in marriage she can't make any decision on her own whatsoever without the man agreeing to i and i mean critical decisions aa it affects the family. Such issues affects the family if not properly handled.

Except the man has given her the go ahead to operate as she likes.


Only those who understands spiritual things will know what I'm saying.


If a woman has the intention of attending a separate church (her church different from that of the husband) assuming the husband has a church he attends and a member of such, then such should be discussed and agreed upon by them and no external interference before they settle down to marry.


The real question to ask is if both husband and wife attends different churches, whose church will the children attend till they are of mature age to attend theirs assuming they are still leaving in the same house with their parents?



All of us claim we are christians but we do know that all churches have different doctrines and beliefs systems even though we may say that our roots is of Christ Jesus. Many don't believe in the Holy Spirit and miracles.

Now, the Scripture says, "train up a child in the way he should go so that he would not depart from it when he is old."

Now, if both parents attend different churches, which way( doctrine) would you teach your child to abide to and walk in.....
We do know most of us beliefs are tied to our churches and not necessarily what is written in the Scripture.

An education above secondary school is not actually compulsory but a necessity if you're looking to be employed by another.

Ideally your chances of getting a job offer is high and high expectations are also required by your employer from you.....
Just having a first class effortlessly should not be your point of call but been able to defend your certificate when the time arises in season and out of season.

I have a friend who was a barber who never dreamt of having a job in the place he is because he had no one to help me.
It was one of his clients who came to have his hair cut and asked him what he studied and what he graduated with.......he studied mechanical engineering and with a 2.1....
The man just requested for his CV and that was how he went to Milan for training and is now in a managerial position in one of the OICs. This happened about 17 years ago.

You never know when it would come handy.
Also depend on God in all your endeavors.

Is it a good idea to build a generator house directly under the tank stand? I am worried that about having an empty unutilized space under the tank stand when I am quite pressed for space in the compound, and I am a big fan of having the generator house with some electrical connections separate from the main house. I don't think it's a good idea if the tank stand is going to be of metal/steel usage for it's construction.

The making of the FCT civil service commission, did that upgrade not come with some been made permanent secretaries, directors, heads of departments, etc, etc,.... Was that not part of welfare of the people ans civil service.....


I remember there were some staffs I can't remember the sector that wanted to go on strike when he was initially made the FCT Minister, did he not settle their demands. The FCT Minister was even the first person to even pay something close if not more than the the prescribed minimum wage even before the NLC and FG got into talks.



The medical doctors who were complaining not quiet long that they would go on strike, are they not quiet now......what does that tell you?


Did he not buy cars and shared for the lucky persons in FCT whether they are of the political party that they can use for transportation....

Is he not renovating the primary and secondary schools within the municipal areas in Abuja ?


Which areas to be specific is he yet to touch that has not affected the welfare of the people positively directly or indirectly?

I will just use Amaechi to make you understand. He has numerous projects but I will pick two.

Primary Healthcare:
Amaechi built over a 100 health centers of high standards, and fully equipped them. He then employed doctors, gave them cars, to work in these centers. Then offered free healthcare for emergency cases, people over 80 years of age and children under the age of 6. Also with long supply of PPE for workers.

Primary Education:
Amaechi built over 300 top model primary schools. These schools offered free education, had high standard facility (sports, ict, library), gave free books and uniforms. He also trained over 10,000 teachers to work in these facilities.

You have mentioned well.
I'm sure you would not mention that the mono rail project by Amaechi was a waste of billions which stands till today and badly ill-conceived.

That way u really affected the common people who can rent them for say 300k And the maintenance still b with the government... Waiting for the private sector is not ideal.. they won't build such building... All our estate forms are buy ND sell land estate only few build bungalow or a story building.. that is how to affect the people....

Municipal council that cannot manage streets, roads, utility facilities and primary schools within their areas, are those whom you want to manage storey building of 10 floors scattered in 10 - 15 locations?


Let's not deceive ourselves. The FG or any State government is not ripe for such.
The best at most is 3 storey building and a mix of two and three bedrooms and sell off to different cadres of the civil servants, especially those who don't own their personal buildings in the towns they reside and work rather than the village where most people relocate to after retirement.


Moreso, road is of utmost importance. They just have to be strategic about it.

It's already told that the RSHC lacked jurisdiction on that matter. So it's everything the RSHC was doing was just empty.
